Can U Fix A Flat Spot On A Front Tyre ?
blk94r33 replied to Tweaky's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
+1 for a skid I flat-spotted all 4 tyres locking it up before hitting a roo, was advised to burn them off, didn't want to at the risk of getting the car impounded (only takes a phone call and a mark now-adays) Kept driving the car for about 1000km, f*****g annoying below 60kph, not noticeable above ~70kph, did my head in and bought 4 new tyres, old ones were on their last legs anyways... -
Should it just be a forced pop-up on a members first entry on SAU stating: -You can't take the turbo off a turbo car -You can't take the turbo off a turbo car to drive it on P's -No, anything over an 18" wheel will look stupid -Flutter is bad mmmkay? -Your NA 2.0L R32 WON'T beat anything, and a pod filter WON'T help, and you will not beat a 3.5 Magna, especially one with a cat-back -Don't post about street racing, street drifting or streets ice-creams, the thread will be closed, you will get flamed -The best turbo for your GTST is the one that suits the rest of your mods, power output needs, budget, and drivea-bility concerns -300rwkw, give or take for maintenance and initial condition

Battery Dying Over Night - Strange Symptoms

Even so, if the relay for the aircon is still there and wired up as mentioned, it can cause this. -
Battery Dying Over Night - Strange Symptoms

You haven't modded the over-heat fan to run with the air-con? This was causing the same problem with mine... -
Shed Clean-Out! Dirt Cheap Bits Inside

Bump! -
Still got the bottom end?

Yeah mate, pretty common to butcher the reo to make after-market bars fit unfortunately. If you still want to fit it, grab an angle grinder and slowly remove where required until the bar fits. Just remember that your removing a structural part of the car, and it's more likely to receive damage to the radiator/condenser etc in a crash. And you'll have to source your own indicators and wire them in, there's some very neat LED units being made now...

Shed Clean-Out! Dirt Cheap Bits Inside
blk94r33 replied to blk94r33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Nah mate I don't. Not a full part-out, just some random bits i've changed. -
Hi all, I'm clearing out the shed of some un-wanted gear off my car that has either been changed, upgraded etc. Please note this is my first attempt at selling stuff on SAU, and I work alot, I shall do my best to reply to PM's, texts etc. and arrange freight/pick-up etc as quick as possible, but do be patient. Best bet/preferred for contact is to PM me on here or text as I can't answer my phone at work. Contact No: Josh 04 3774 5147 Can freight all items at buyers expense, pick-up is preferred from country south-west vic, exact location will be gladly given to interested buyers but would prefer not to list for security and privacy. Also happy to deliver items/meet buyer half-way at buyers expense (fuel costs) if distance is reasonable. Standard parts are off a R33 Series 1 GTS coupe' RB25DE Fusion EN-AM300200 amplifier, 2 channel, runs 70w rms per channel, suitable for running a pair of 6X9's, is a flow through/daisy chain style amp so another amp can be connected to the same pair RCA leads, bridgeable to run 180w rms, good working order, removed as I went to a bigger system requiring a 4 channel amp. More details here. $30 Sub box built specifically for boot of R33 2 door, sits above the fuel pump area with the battery/fuses re-located, and HICAS ECU mounted to the drivers side, very snug fit. Made from 3/4 MDF with loads of liquid nails and screws, extremely solid, 2 separate compartments, "face-plate" made from 12mm MDF. Average condition, needs the "face plate" re-done/re-trimmed. Had 2 10" subs inverted mount running in it, again has been changed for bigger build, has filler to make the boxes ~14L each, could be removed to go as big as ~25L each. Could be cut out to fit 10" subs normal mount with spacers, too small for 12"s. $30 to good home Stock JECS fuel pump, upgraded, was in running car on removal, but slightly noisy (can be heard on priming and outside the car when running) $15 Two 205/55/R16 91W BCT S600 tyres, changed due to flats pots and worn shoulders, tread varies from %15-%60, suit drifting or burnouts. Not road usable! $50 pair One Mazda RX8 space-saver spare wheel, 5 stud, off my old car, never used. $50 Standard sway-bars, no links, "D" bushes included $30 pair Standard springs and shocks, no visible leaks, surface rust, typical condition for age $50 the lot Genuine Mazda 5w-30 rotary mineral oil, un-opened, paid ~$70 for it yet never got used. $50 Speco-meter 2.5" (I think) electronic oil pressure gauge and sender, good working order, needs wires extended, lights up yellowish standard globe color $20 Random "Nakamichi" CD head unit, has AUX in, came with car, suit daily driver $10 2nd hand oxygen sensor, unknown age, only noticed .5L/100km improvement when changed, suit if you have an absolutely dead one or for testing etc. $20 6 standard coil-packs, acted up on stone cold nights at full load over 4500rpm when car was N/A, taping/greasing may help, suitable for diagnosis or temp-replacement $40 Have a few more small items for sale, but it's raining hard so can't get photos, will update later on. Cheers, Josh

Wow Looks Like A Mean R32 Gtr Bodykit On The Way!

The lancer headlights make it work though. R32 looks like it's giving head... -
Strange how one has a better chance of getting defected/impounded/fined than having their stolen car recovered/ever found...

Precisely. Other than bulk media coverage of the after math of poor education, what do we honestly get taught about what/what not to do on the roads? Except at least now days the 120 hours is mandatory, but I distinctively remember doing quite a few of my L's hours in a manual CV8 Monaro, next to a 24yo "supervisor" who was not that great of an influence.... Who tells you not to take a roundabout at the speed limit? Slow down in the wet/fog/smog etc? The L's book covers the basics, but you don't need to know it off by heart to pass the test. The other problem is the over-confidence the new electronic "wonder systems" manufacturers are introducing into their cars is inducing in drivers... "I can drive at 110 in the wet, ESP will save me" "3 meters behind the car in front is safe, I have ABS" "Speeding won't kill me, I got a car with airbags" Without common sense, proper education, and retaining the fear of death or injury in the modern motorist, natural selection will continue to run rampant...

Anyone that's not following me looks pretty good...
-
Precisely. Do you think Jo Bloggs in a 400kw GTR with $40k hanging over his head, knowing his car will be crushed with no re-reimbursement, is going to pull over knowing the consequences? Hell no....
-
Was about to say, who'd you get the car off? Tyre them, they're your best bet.......

Rear Main Seal While Clutch Is Out?
blk94r33 replied to MrStabby's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
RB's have a welch plug on the back of the block? Or any difficult to access hoses such as the coolant return line? Never hurts to be over cautious...... -
I always wave or give the thumbs up, but likewise, rarely get a wave back. Maybe the above wave=race thing scares them off?
-
I wave back. It's surprising how many notice the car. It's funny how recognizable a Skyline is to the general population. A LS1 on 20's with no springs is just another commodore to most, yet a skyline obviously has a significance and sort of reputation even for the non-enthusiasts, the externally stock 33 GTS still gets smiles and a wave/thumbs up. What's disappointing is the "current" generation, ie the 15ish yo kids that have been poorly raised, recognize the car, and you get the "drop a skid you f**khead". Or the "get a real car ya f**king fag**t" from the bronx-bred youths who's dream car is a maroon VN with straight pipes. Society, I am dissapoint...
