  1. sorry for the chat (no chat allowed thread)
  2. ^^^ Have you got a pic?? Coz if that is the case....i was duped - I had/have never seen anything like it before...and the place I got it from (Autoworx) made two...one of which is on mine. (I paid 275 big ones for it..so either way I am quite happy - but seriously hoping its not a replica coz I get a lot of envious comments about it) The ones I have seen (they are really common - factory option??) have two ridges on the middle...so there is "what seems like a big chunk" missing from the front under the intercooler...so I didnt want to go that route..wanted something that protruded enough to create a nice lip effect but that was even all around...if you get what I mean
  3. Hey Dave...had it custom made mate..... You can see it unpainted in my build thread.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/377489-the-evolution-of-night-fury/page__st__40
  4. ^^^^ Top secret....and thanks
  5. @ Simon - Thanks for the troubleshoot (damn video was refusing to upload - but got there in the end)...... @ Jonno.....yeah I did...but will be putting back the green LEDs soon.....they looked better (naaawww) Here we go.....a video I completed last night....a quick summary of this thread basically
  6. Had a lovely tuning session this evening...nice and cool......and yeah she performed very well. First up a big thank you to Tom and Richie @ PZP (you guys are awesome) Few pics.............. New LED dash bulbs look nice................. Plenty of fresh air PLENTY of flames .....and a couple of hours later....................... Two boost settings.................... 12 psi spiking to 13 psi for everyday driving........319 @ the wheels..... 18 psi for the high boost setting.....352.9 @ the wheels..... Tom was reluctant to turn up the boost (even though the car was responding well to more boost) because of the damage it might cause to the standard head gasket, valves, springs etc...which I thought was a fair call and which I am more than happy with....(because I am no dyno queen) 260kw for the street is just about right for the street in my opinion and the car runs like a dream....very smooth....and torque curve has improved quite a bit.....so yeah.....happy days
  7. while we talking rims......trying on new boots (thanks to LJ)..............
  8. ^^^ I have always been running a Power FC and had highflowed my stock turbo when it blew at Barbs........so its got a Gt3076r core in it now with a slightly bigger than standard housing.........(avoided a high mount because its daily driven) The old tune was done on a hot day (not that it matters that much)....but its leaning out pretty badly in places....and the AFRs are all over the place really.
  9. Thanks to the mad skills of LJ (your awesome man)....... New boots .........................................................................................................thoughts?? In other news..................cars being retuned tonight.......yay !!
  10. You kind sir.....are a LEGEND.........!! THANKS HEAPS MAN.......if you were a woman that looked like anne hathaway I would have babies with you
  11. Change my rims if you have the time please If you click on my build thread (see my sig for link)...you can choose a decent pic. Satin black Te37s is what I am currently saving for !! THANKS
  12. Happy with most things but Tom reckons the AFRs could do with a tweak and there is scope for improvement...so retune next week..... Meanwhile....I finished off the drivers door this morning....and in the bargain have now completed the door trim project..woohoo !! Before..... After......
  13. Ready for action....................
  14. hang in there................things can only get better
  15. Finished the right rear panel today.....which only leaves the drivers door now. Cars going in tomorrow...so will finish it when I get it back.
  16. Matt..............yeah they are a quick fix with quite amazing results !! Kory.............hahahaaa..I try and keep myself busy and I love working on the car. Jonno.......Whats next with the B lackization .......ummm....I will finish off the door trims (drivers side) by tmrw / day after.....then next week I plan to get started on my front bumper.....touching up the stone chip marks. I also need to get started on the brake calipers......and I want to swap the back wheel from one side and put it on the front (the opposite side) just to give me an idea what a "fatter" "deeper dish" and more aggressive wheel looks like..then when I have two rims with decent dish and offset and can look at the car from one side I am hoping this will help influence my decision to get my new rims quicker. ALSO.............................................she hasnt been on a dyno for a while..... so CARS GOING IN FOR A POWER RUN (and general check up)........on wednesday to PZP....my current workshop closed down (the b@#$%ds) so now have to find a new tuner and get comfortable with a new workshop.... Stay tuned
  17. Nice Thats what I need with my front rims..more dish..... Did ya debadge the bonnet though.....Is it just me or does it look "banged in" ???
  18. Did the back left one this morning............. Before............. After............ Sorry about the picture quality....phone pics are not the best :\
  19. lol Jonno....remember the hills run...on a bloody 40 degree day.....I swore I burnt my ass that afternoon...
  20. Hey Hadouken....I guess time will tell hey... BUT..........these are the reasons why I think it will work / is working already !! 1. There is actually a lot more room to "tuck it" into which cannot really be seen with the naked eye... When you use a flat head screwdriver it works wonders and I actually pushed in quite a bit of the material...a LOT MORE than I thought would go in. It kind of goes in and under if you know what I mean. 2. It is held in place by the door handle...the door opening lever and the plastic trim bits sit snug over the material. 3. I dont exactly plan to let the neighbourhood cats come and have a free back scratch. 4. ...and my trump card....hahahaaa...I did use drops of super glue in "strategic locations" I think it looks really nice...so even if it does open up...(which I highly doubt it ever will) I will just do it again.
  21. Passenger door done....I think it came up quite well... This is just before it was finished....will post pics of completed job when I put it back on the car
  22. New project: Door trims !! Started by taking off the door panel.....three screws at the bottom....one screw inside the plastic "phone holder" thing...one screw behind the door opening lever and one screw underneath the "holding on at high speed handle" Then I wedged the panel loose......carefully disconnected the power window wires. SUCCESS Started painting the various bits and pieces since they were off anyway...... Before........... After the first base coat..... Ever wondered what goes on behind closed doors Ready for renovation........... Cutting the new leather inserts to size...they are the same material as my seat covers....matching much Stay tuned...progress pics soon....
