  1. They wouldn't bother with the ghey market.... HKS is to busy building stuff like this... HKS R34 GT-R Wonder where I can get some HKS Stripes...?
  2. I have the best of both worlds then! And no silly stripes to go with it! By the way- Boost is a steady 0.35BAR, or 5 PSI. I'm not using over 4000rpm, and I'm going to check the stock injector (320cc) duty cycle soon. Stock Computer is dumping a lot of fuel into it, fuel consumption is..... interesting. But over all, its totally drivable at the moment.
  3. No point really to the duct. Its not in there now. The pod gets heaps of fresh air from below, through the grill, and up near the wheel arch. The shroud? Well, thats a custom M35 Garage HKS pro dealer part. Craig has taken to writing HKS on various things on my car now. I have to say the bracket he made up for the trans cooler is a work of art.
  4. Leon, if its anything like mine it changes the maximum value that the computer will run the timing. I initially thought it was a "static" timing adjust, but I found it increases/decreases the maximum timing at what you set. Its generally +/- 2 degrees, however, I have taken my maximum of 8 degrees out of my car. IE, max timing in my car is now 36 degrees, rather than 44 degrees, but at idle, its still 15/16 degrees. Make sense?
  5. Then tell him to look at the rego papers at the engine number.....
  6. Oh, FFS. Beaten by mlr! Glad school holidays are almost over.... Taken from Wiki.... Ford Corsair UA - Australia Between 1989 and 1992, the Ford Corsair name was used by Ford Australia for a badge engineering version of the Nissan Pintara(known in development as 'Project Matilda'), under a model-sharing scheme known as the Button Plan. It was offered as a 4-door sedanand as a 5-door hatchback, in GL and Ghia trim levels with 2.0L (CA20E) and and 2.4L (KA24E) four cylinder engines. The Corsair was intended to replace the Mazda 626-based Ford Telstar, which was imported from Japan. The two were sold side-by-side in the Australian Ford range, with the Telstar only available as the high-performance TX5 hatchback. When Nissan closed its Australian plant in 1992, the Corsair was discontinued and the imported Telstar once again became Ford's main offering in the medium size segment, until being replaced by the Mondeo in 1995 CA20E The SOHC 2.0 L (1974 cc) CA20E produces 105 hp (78 kW) and 120 lb·ft (160 Nm). Bore is 3.33 in (84.5 mm) and stroke is 3.46 in (88 mm). It was used from August, 1981 through 1991. Fuel was delivered via Multiport Fuel Injection. Dual sparkplugs per cylinder were used in some variants of this engine for enhanced combustion efficiency, and to combat poor head design. It was used in the following vehicles: 1984-1988 Nissan 200SX (US & Canada) / Nissan Gazelle (Australia) 1986-1990 Nissan Skyline R31 (Australia) 1984-1990 Nissan Stanza / Stanza Wagon 1987-1989 Nissan Bluebird U12 (and was replaced by the SR20DE in the Series 2 U12 Bluebirds) 1988-1990 Nissan Bluebird T72 1986-1991 Nissan Pintara KA24E The KA24E was a SOHC12-valve engine produced from July 1988 through January 1996. It uses SEFI fuel injection, and features forged steel connecting rods, an internally balanced forged steel crankshaft, and a cast aluminum intake manifold. 7. Yeah, I'm hoping to fill most of the categories, and make the headings a bit clearer soon. If it fills up and we get good response, I hope the mods will see the worth in sticky. Remember its only as strong as you guys. FYI, this is what made me start this, and this is what can be achieved. my350z link
  8. Hi Duncan - so this doesn't get out of hand for you, this is what I propose. I'll keep a copy of this on my desktop. I'll update it every couple of days, and after a week or so, I can PM or email it to you. Then just copy and paste. Sound good? Let me know if you want a PM or email attachment- cheers.
  9. Cam, Below is what I had to do to the Fnt bar. nothing drastic - just one cl ip to go, and a bit of sanding to clear the top cooler pipe. All done! I'll get some underneath pics, just have to get it up the ramps!
  10. Conventional thinking doesn't have the AFM 300mm from the TB and the intake about 1800mm from that. The afm is not designed to pick up air travelling in the opposite direction, it would be very much shielded from the path of the air reversed, thats what I figure when I look at the thing. At the moment I can't say there is any ill effects in driveability because of the air backing up, just the comp flutter, which is actually a little milder that what I initially thought. If it was going to be easy, I'd put it before the AFM, problem is I have very little space there anymore. Scotty, I do care about the noise. In Sydney run a external BOV and your classed as full hektic- bend over and get ready for the po po.... Funny thing is with the flutter, they would think its a BOV anyway.
  11. Yeah, that's the conventional thinking. Thing is, I has no bov now, and it doesn't seem to suffer any ill effects other than the comp surge. Nil afm issues. The afm will only read in one direction. That's why I'm a bit puzzled.
  12. Yeah Dale, we'll be there in the morning. Jetwreck seems to think he wants to work on his car Give us a bell, and see if were in.
  13. Bushes went missing for about 10 months or so... the Mrs "filed" them. I came across them in the Garage about a fortnight ago! Couldn't believe my luck Copy that on the pics....
  14. Hi All, I wanted to compile some info, hopefully Nick / Duncan will get this going too. I just did some simple searches, and plugged some figures in there to start off with. I don't mean to offend by missing you, its just you could spend days trying to compile this through searching. Please PM me to be added (and I'll see if a mod can update it semi regularly). At this stage I don't want to have to verify with dyno sheets timeslips etc etc, just don't give me fibs and the whole concept works better. If we need to add other sections let me know too. Cheers, Alex

  16. Its a great idea Dale, but there is stuff all room there. I'm running about 4 or 5 hoses in the area already. What I really need to know is does it matter being before or after the AFM? Just sorted out the front bar, that fits on nicely now, and also fixed up a little wastegate issue. Tomorrow I'm going to chuck it back up on the hoist and check for leaks. Also hope to mount up my trans cooler, fit some long lost swaybar bushes, and make sure everything is tight, and also take some pics Question to you guys - What do you want to see photos of? Is there anything in particular, or I'll just take some general snaps of the whole thing?
  17. I'm a bit at a loss as to where to put a BOV. We all know that if you vent to atmos, it makes you a phag, as well as messes up the AFM readings, BUT, thats with the AFM just after the air filter. With an AFM all the way near the TB, I don't know what effect positioning will have? I have to qualms about drillin the pipe - if it stops compressor surge! ATM its not effecting me much, cause I'm not putting the boot in! Might wait a couple of weeks, and have a look at the HKS 350z that should be coming on a cruise. I think he has a BOV.
  18. Met the New owner the other night. Seems a genuine nice bloke. Told him we better see him on SAU sometime soon! Have to thank Iain, and the buyer for their patience while I finished off my car. Saw him having a few sneaky looks at some parts on my car! Congrats Iain, I hope you strike a deal sometime soon on a new ride!
  19. Hay, where is it, I couldn't find it on my car. Got a picture? My engine bay is one page back.
  20. I wasn't going to split up PM/ PNM, I just couldn't find a way of writing it without looking like I was splitting it up!!! Did you think I was being special Anyways, I think s brief note of the cars mods would be needed too like - C34- GT3076, nistune, Manual AWD - if you get my drift. I'll work at getting this sorted when I get some time, a mod might have to update, but I'm happy to collate info.
  21. Big difference in note. Its actually quiet at idle, much more than when NA. Does the V35 have a BOV? I'm getting quite a bit of compressor noise on lift off....
  22. It lives. Drove it home last night. Give me a break on pics for a couple of days, 4hrs sleep now I'm off to work, and this arvo got to drive 5 hrs to a funeral.
  23. thinking about doing a top power / time Stagea rep list. What do you think, and what categories would you like to see in it? I was thinking spilt into C34 / C34 RS260 / NM35 / PM and PNM35 and mods stated. Then groups would be top 5 power top 5 1/4 mile Track times (eastern ck, wakefield, phillip Is, qld raceway etc etc) State by state breakdown + over the Dutch bro section We could sticky it, and update when needed What would you like to see different/added in to a thread like that? ie RB25 v RB30? Or do you hate it and just want to go back to moving sofas and shit in your wagon?
  24. Going for the most powerful turbo converted PNM35 in the northside of Sydney.... am I a chance? Actually that would make a good thread - most powerful C34/RS260/NM35/PM35 - dyno charts and mods Then some slips from teh 1/4 too... Then some track times around some of our tracks. Thoughts, or has it been done?
  25. Same day as a ZClub.com.au Cruise up the old Pac Hwy and around the place..........just sayin
