  1. Oh, Hai! just going to put this here.... http://gaycarfans.com/forums/archive/index.php/thread-1540.html don't worry- safe for work.
  2. Meh- ozone smohzone. There are tonnes of little ozone air purifiers around. BTW Borbby epic thread revival. Props to you. Oh, and pics of said "Iran" car of GTFO
  3. LOL... Craig- Why Jungle Backyard? BECAUSE RACECAR! I'll give you a hand mate, just got to sort a few things first, and then I'll help you out. btw, that is a scarily good depiction of Iain...
  4. Yup, it is a heavy bitch. Nick will back me up I'm sure! Can't say that I saw a difference in performance, but being na at the time, it's not surprising.Look, it's a cheap upgrade for those looking for a bit more note, bit more performance. It won't hold it's own against a proper aftermarket exhaust but I never said it would. It is a bigger pipe, with a resonator compared to a muffler. Hopefuly Nick should post some vids. I wouldn't compare it to my nismo though!
  5. Great job mate. Easy isn't it!Best kept secret, can't believe nobody gave it a ago before me. Slippy, it is the 350z that needs a bit of extension.
  6. Its not a Series 2..... Me thinks Iain is right regarding compliance. Expensive mistake. Wonder who the motor went to? Someone blow another one up?
  7. Yeah we got recommended some Scotch blue tape from some friends. Seems ok. Thanks- love my nismo exhaust- Craig is always Mirin...
  8. I'm painting. You know, ceilings, walls and shit around the house. Who has tips? besides pay someone to do it...
  9. Wish I could have kept going- I bailed at Hornsby Heights. I hope that pothole turning onto Galston road off Pac Hwy didn't claim any wheels...
  10. Did the GIO VL driver pop 5 no-doz half an hour before hopping in the car...?
  11. I has no Banjo... didn't know where it was
  12. HKS make a filter- I have one in the kit that I did. Just goes in line with the braided lines. It is able to be taken apart and cleaned. The Japanese instructions that came with it said you clean every 5000kms. Don't know if worth it, but just putting it out there.
  13. Spotted a white M35 on painted 350z rims a the meet up for the SAU NSW Wisemans Ferry Cruise. Sorry, didn't get a chance to meet up, I bailed before the gorge- Cars not tuned yet...
  14. Early 350z 6 speeds had soft syncro issues. Thats the box is probably has in it ATM. What you need is a later Box- a CD009- not expensive at all. http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35/product_info.php?products_id=3342 Still why you would put tractor motor in 350z.... +1 to Scotts comments- The stock VQ35de crack is supposedly good for 700hp. Just need rods, pistons, bolts, and bearings. The heads flow heaps.
  15. What kind of rear bar is that?Point is, it's not stock, might be aero, but what I'm getting at is that is the bar could have just been bought on yahoo auction and fitted, not colour matched. So don't stress about it. Welcome to the community mate.
  16. I'd say its all about drive line. When you look at (I know you already would have...) Craigs vid of his stall launch, you can see the punishment that it cops. However- I think the more and more you guys find out about the VQ25det, the more I see that nissan have choked it from factory- Intake pipe, THAT dump pipe, the throttle, the untuneable computer etc etc. I think that they would have had a situation on their hands if these stageas started cutting in on their sports market. I mean, it doesn't take much for a Stagea to rip a CPV35 or a Z33. Wouldn't be a good look for Nissan to see the Wagon passing the "sportscar" down the highway!
  17. Nice work Leon. After I have the car tuned, I'll run a log on mine, post it and see how it compares. Stock they do have some kind of throttle restriction.
  18. Booked into Unigroup for the 1st March. Told them about the O2 issue. Have to get the turbo beanie, dump wrap, Pump, injectors and Plugs sorted. See how we go!
  19. Did it sound like it was missing Dale? Missing about half a litre and two cylinders....
  20. Thanks Leon. I guess putting a o2 sensor in the drivers bank is possible, but with the size of it I would say it would be terribly restrictive. The pipe really isn't sizeable compared to say the dump pipe. And with the restriction, it wouldn't read right anyway. What would happen if I spliced one O2 sensor, and connected both the banks to one O2 sensor? Those with sharp theoretical minds- not me at this hour.... Just to put it out there, this problem seems to have been experienced with 350z's- running high flow cats and the like. So I don't know how that works, because they still have bank dependent O2 sensors. http://my350z.com/forum/tuning/478308-unique-problem-bank-1-overcorrecting-rich.html Its running open loop for the moment. I hope I can get it closed somehow because there is benefit there- I can feel it in the "drivability" That said, maybe it could be tuned around it.
  21. Makes sense- have emailed Mark with it to see if that is a characteristic of the ECU.
  22. have a look at this screenshot
  23. Here you can see some data- % correction is on the left, and inj pulse on the RHS, in the middle you can see the Volts from the "A/F WB bank 1 and 2" See how the inj pulse is uneven, and the ECU is factoring in a correction, even though all 4 sensors are reading very similar results? Thats a fail.... I'll see if I can format it to work here...
  24. Hi Andy- The sensors themselves are reading a very similar voltage- and it seems that they are within factory tolerances as per the Service manual. Hey Scott, Do you mean open loop? My problem exists on Closed loop- ie O2 sensors active. As soon as I hit the throttle, and it pops out into open loop, the injector pulse become near identical, and it runs fine. Looking at it now, I have disconnected one O2 sensor and its running in open loop- the AFR is much steadier, and Inj pluse is near equal across banks. Hi Iain, the problem existed before I flashed the ECU- Before I had touched the settings. The flash that I used contains all the stock settings, and has not effected the problem at all- it still exists.
  25. I'm currently in an email back and forth with Mark @ Abbeymotorsport. He has been very helpful with the issue. Using Uprev I can log engine data and send it to him- he's taking a look and seeing if he can figure it out. Will consider hammer option....Or beat it with a stick option...
