  1. Exhaust- V35 sedan VQ35de cat back = M35 VQ25/VQ35 Stagea cat back. I'm 99% that they will fit a VQ30dd too, but compare your hanger locations with pics on the net. Cheap and easy upgrade is V35 couple midpipe. Fits sedans, and stageas, is larger diameter, and has only a small resonator, not a massive mid muffler.
  2. Spotted bbenny's great looking blue M35 this morning in St Ives. Good looking set of Racks... no bike but
  3. Aftermarket ECU- No, I hope not. (thats if it works!) The factory computer is good for everything that I need it to do at this stage. Its only the AFM that will be the limiter, but there is a AFM for forced induction that allows more airflow. So do I mate, so do I! Cam adjustment I guess is only applicable if the tuner can get better spool/response out of the system. Otherwise its not that big of a deal. We'll have to see who waves their magic fingers over the tuning! Merry Christmas to you too! (I'm now at work.... )
  4. Well, its been a little while and I haven't updated this, and a couple of things have happened! My nice HKS winged sump turned into a big paperweight! POS didn't fit. Turns out I have the same sump as you VQ25 bunch. So I sold it off to a 350z bloke, who has s/c'd his Z. Got moneies back, plus a bit extra, so happy there. Have now modified a stock VQ25 oil pan to suit with an oil return. I ordered and received some spark plugs from Concept Z, one step colder than stock - so much cheaper than getting them in Aust. And the big thing, is that I have been talking to Mark from Abbey Motorsport in the UK. They are the UK salespeople for the UPREV Orisis tuning system. We have decided to give it a shot getting UPREV to tune my car. Pinout on the ECU is the same as a 350z, and the Part # for my ecu is 23710-7W065. They have 23710-7W060 on file to work, so I am hopeful that mine won't be a problem. The software I have downloaded already, looks easy, and provides all the parameters of the stock ecu, including diagnostics, speed limiter, rev limiter, idle RPM, cam timing etc etc. What I have to do is dump my ECU program and send to them to confirm, and so they can keep a copy on file for return to stock. My cable is in the mail, so I'm eagerly awaiting that! Once confirmed as working, then I'll find a tuner willing to work with the UPREV. Plan is to start the work on the first weekend of the new year. Meanwhile a Sydney 350z just completed tuning at a HKS workshop- 244rwkw on 5.6psi Thats with no cam control, cause the VPro can't do it. Merry Christmas to you all, stay safe, and Stagea ON!
  5. Keen for WSID too, as a group I reckon it'd bee great fun. Just have to be after Turbo and Tuning!
  6. Like the RB26. I don't know the details, I've just heard people talking about it before. I don't know if they are adjustable (like my little old honda!) OR if they are just the type where you have to re-shim them. If its the latter, then you'll be paying 20 or 30 bucks just for an individual shim X24. Not something I'd do as preventative, more as a head re-fresh + valve guides, springs, etc. But there should be some people here that know their way around a RB better than me.
  7. Well, there is the cam belt if you count that, every 100k kms I think. Neo heads have solid lifters, so after a long long time, they can require re-shimming/adjustment when the motor gets noisy. Spark plugs are in the head too...
  8. Saw a Gold AR-X getting some suspension work done (KNGM35) and saw a much healthier Black awesome POS too... details to come from owner...
  9. C34 Series 2 in Chatswood today about 2pm. Silver,Looking stock as a rock. Dayz B.Kit, very tidy/shiny!
  10. Part #'s match.... There you go....
  11. Sounds like a really great Idea. If I have the car in one piece, I'll be along to "come and try"!
  12. Is that the NISMO exhaust? I think one with a nismo parks at work...
  13. Don't worry about Iain... Hes all: I think you should go for it... Bridge porting or peripheral porting makes the powwwaaaahhh.... Brap Brap Brap! Please post dyno results.
  14. Silver M35 with Aero kit travelling west along mona vale road in St Ives, NSW about lunch time.
  15. I think a couple of things I found out were that it should have a shiny exterior, like yours appears to have, and that the plastic bag the pump came in should be lightly oiled. Just found this on , but don't know the merits of it...Edit- I don't know about yours - this is how mine came. You can play spot the differences...
  16. I think OP screwed up with initial measurements. Your 350z rims are 18x8 +30 right? (Not 9.5 wide). The wheels you want to put on are 18X9.5 +12 Inner clearence will be 1mm LESS Outter position extend 37mm MORE I have nil idea about R34 fitments, but those wheels sound more of a GTR fitment, not a GT-t. 89 Cal, its not your fault, OP gave wrong info....
  17. I'm glad its silver.... don't need a doppelgänger rollin round in Mexico!
  18. Nice work Cam! You can always take the extra bits off and give them to me..... Its a little bit earlier than mine, looking at the VIN. Looks like the Nismo Axle back exhaust, Front cameras! lol, knew the V35s had em, didn't think the stageas did. Maybe they'll spot the Roo's jumping out at ya! Factory Navagation, but no Nav DVD....
  19. Ok for spectators? Just turn up on the day...?
  20. Just saw the kerb rash on your wheel.... its crying.
  21. It wasn't the fact direct injection and turbo hadnt been done but the vq25dd issues. Yeah, we'll I'm glad I'm not doing it. Problems off the top of my head would be the dd injectors, the fact it's either 11:1 or 11.3:1 compression, plus the Strength of the connecting rods, and engine management. I guess it's one of those things, if you throw enough money at it, it would probably work, but it's really not a cost effective project. Far better to ditch it when on full licence and get something easier.
  22. As I said before.... I have only looked at google images of the VQ25dd.I can't see any reason why a z-tube, wouldn't fit. have a search and look at one. Make your own "powerduct" or buy one from a sucker thats got a pod filter on a VQ35de, and get a quality panel filter. Intake done. Its not going to get any better than that. OR hold off modifying it, wait 1 year, and go buy a turbo car thats easier to mod. I can't see how you'd turbo a DD motor. Its very different to a VQ35de. Just wait, buy a 350z and then go nuts.
  23. Nissan factory airboxs are actually very good. In fact your airbox has flowed 300awkw on a Stagea. Thats with the front panel open. Pod filters are great at sucking in hot air from the engine bay (thus reducing power), generally reducing filtration, and being defectable if not enclosed by the Po po. They add noise but no power.
