  4. Need some battery / electrical advice people...... I had a new Optima battery put into the Skyline when I bought it last October. All over summer I had no problems. I went away quite a few times in Autumn, so car wasn't started each time for 3 - 4 -, sometimes 5 days. Each time I tried to start it I thought "Oh s..., this battery is bloody flat". Luckily it whirred back into life slowly both times. After long weekend I was only away for two days and same thing....Last Friday I drove car to work and back again (about 50kms round trip), didn't drive the car Saturday and then yesterday lunchtime I had the slow whirring / almost nothing start again.... I'm thinking either battery or alternator. Thoughts??? Last week I disconnected the amp completely in case it was causing any problems, but there has been no change. Should I take the car out to Battery Factory and ask em to check it out or should I book it into a auto electrician? If so are there any recommendations for a auto electric shop either in Fyshwick or Belconnen that knows Skylines? Or should I just take it to Ed or Tez or Garran? Thanks in advance gurus

  12. Hi Jay - good to hear from you - was wondering what was happening with your car! I don't suppose you can get at any of the bits off the car - you would probably make a few bucks selling them off--- Anyway - if you change your mind at decide to look at a white r33 with big chromies and exhaust then PM me - mine is for sale!!!
  13. Now that is goss!!! He wasn't there the other day when I took my car in.... The other guys did good work though....
  14. Nik's has 3 spoke rims - yep - guy you mentioned above has whooshed past me a coupla times as well - always around home time in the afternoon and way too much traffic..... :headspin: There is at least two white GTRs that live in Belco - and I think there is another one that works there...I see him heading the opposite direction (towards Civic) in the afternoons

  17. my hicas light came on once and stayed on - turned out it was steering fluid - as has been mentioned a couple of times earlier.... once I topped that up no further problems thank god
  18. Cruising home on Parkway from Woden to Belconnen this arv about 5.30, positive I saw (outta the corner of my eye) a black Skyline stopped on other side of road (southbound), two guys standing next to it looking worried. Sorry dudes - wanted to help but no way could have turned around...
  19. definite No to Evo Agree with Amaru ALL the way -definite YES to Tez - I had my baby there today for some work - I have NOTHING but praise for these guys. They know Skylines and love 'em....when you tell Ed that Nik (Amaru) sent you also tell them that Debbie with the white Skyline said to go there as well.... I work with a guy that owns a twin turbo Supra - he now goes to Ed as well and loves the place...... --and if you have to wait for 15 mins while they do something, walk about three doors up and have a coffee and cake at the little Cafe (forget the name of the place)
  20. Tell your Mum to throw caution to wind and BUY a Skyline.... I did!!!!! Opposite happens with me - my 18yo son is always comin' up with excuses to take mine out for a drive. 16 yo daughter already thinks she will be getting driving lessons in the Skyline - I think NOT...... Way coolest Mum - I often get that
