  1. Besides spotting a white ?GTR near Glenloch yesterday afternoon - Does anybody know what was happening on Parkes Way near Anzac Parade roundabout about 5pm yesterday? About four cop cars plus the pursuit car - stopped - one lane closed down and cops EVERYWHERE - did not want to rubberneck so couldn't see what was happening......
  2. In ACT it is manufacture year
  3. Yoh Just heard on radio coming into work this morning - (I live in Canberra) AFP announced beginning of 5 day Nats blitz. They are already setup on the Federal Highway coming into Canberra. "Targetting NOISE" specifically and other "motor vehicle guidelines specific to ACT" - but well you know - anything they can snoop around and find probably - plus the usual "mobile phones, drink driving, seatbelts" Just thought I would let you all know poeple.... Take care and have heaps of FUN at the NATS - look out for Canberra plated Skylines and say hi to us locals!!!!!!!
  4. I PM'd a couple of days ago - also had no reply

  6. Hi I had to buy a battery as well about two days after I got my R33. The previous owner hadn't driven it much for over 3 months. Anyway - I bought an Optima D51L - cost a FORTUNE - $315 - but that included over half an hours labour cos - and here's the important bit - the previous battery was just your STANDARD car battery, therefore unsealed and the b..... thing had spat watery acid c... EVERYWHERE and the guys at battery place had to strip EVERYTHING out and wash it all down with soapy water and bicarb... Also the old battery only had 280 cold crank amps which apparently was no good for anything.... So the moral to the story is to ALWAYS (as mentioned in a previous post) put a SEALED battery in the boot of a car. I live in Canberra and apparently here in the ACT it is illegal to have an unsealed 'normal' car battery in the boot of a car. Also make sure you get a battery with decent cold crank amps. This new one has 500 cold crank amps. AS I said in a similar post a month or so ago which I think got lost in the forum 'death' - my car almost starts without me turning the key!!!!! Hope this helps
  7. 93 R33 GTS25T - stock except for 18" rims, additional BOV and 3 and half inch exhaust - $20000 - Canberra -only probs so far have been battery (understandable - car hadn't been driven much for last 3 - 4 months, and air-con compressor doesn't work so have to find replacement.... :headspin: :headspin:
