  3. Owner of midnight blue Skyline with numberplates starting with YES is part of the 'extended family' that includes ALL the owners of the 'pink' cars (Skyline, Commodore, BMW, 200SX etc) - Belco area------said person is probably in his early 20s.. I haven't met him but I see the car ALL the time...

  9. Keep a lookout for MOI tomorrow... My (white) 33 will be polished like a mirror and wearing bridal ribbons. Myself and another owner of a white skyline (young guy I think - who I don't know) are driving two bridesmaids to a wedding. Bride owns a skyline as well but it is very stock and silver... She is being driven in a white brand new Statesman .. Wouldve been all Skylines but thats another story.... Wedding is in Hall - so keep ya eyes open for us in Belco area tomorrow arv.. (Well its all a change from driving schoolies to formals huh?) :inlove: :inlove:
  10. <<> Well that might work with ancient dattos and VW's but I think the opposite is true with Jap imports etc. Once they find something their eyes seem to light up and and just go at it like rats up drainpipes until they have exhausted ALL possibilities including themselves, and the smug looks on their face makes ya want to bop em on the spot :Bang: <> Oh yeah - that often helps - either sending in a much older person with the car - male or female - though when I tried one particular garage in Canberra (shall remain nameless but is in Belconnen) the guy said to me "Are you trying to register this for your son or somethin? " I just gave him a filthy look and said "NO, its mine", then thought to myself "Aren't older women allowed to own Skylines dickwad?" (What a wanker - its none of his goodam business who the car is being registered for!!!!) Yes there are a couple of mechanics around who are 'gentler' than others...
  11. I am really not sure but I have a feeling that when a vehicle's rego is being changed over from a State to ACT then a vehicle identity check (therefore the dreaded pits at Dickson) is mandatory. Can anyone help with this????
  12. Sure - - sounds like fun - though whoever is selling will probably get REAL nervous!!!!
  13. Thanks people - HEAPS------ wanted to show it to a friend but couldn't remember whereabouts I had seen thread---

  19. Hi I posted this back in November / December I think, the thread is around somewhere ---- Hi I had to buy a battery as well about two days after I got my R33. The previous owner hadn't driven it much for over 3 months. Anyway - I bought an Optima D51L - cost a FORTUNE - $315 - but that included over half an hours labour cos - and here's the important bit - the previous battery was just your STANDARD car battery, therefore unsealed and the b..... thing had spat watery acid c... EVERYWHERE and the guys at battery place had to strip EVERYTHING out and wash it all down with soapy water and bicarb... Also the old battery only had 280 cold crank amps which apparently was no good for anything.... So the moral to the story is to ALWAYS (as mentioned in a previous post) put a SEALED battery in the boot of a car. I live in Canberra and apparently here in the ACT it is illegal to have an unsealed 'normal' car battery in the boot of a car. Also make sure you get a battery with decent cold crank amps. This new one has 500 cold crank amps. AS I said in a similar post a month or so ago which I think got lost in the forum 'death' - my car almost starts without me turning the key!!!!! Hope this helps ---------------------------------------
  20. Drove a couple of em before I bought my Skyline - For my mind a soarer is like comparing a touring car to a sports car-- - yeah they might look nice and have lots of gadgets but - they are bit and 'boaty' (like driving a Camry) -----
  21. Silver R33 with for sale sign - alongside me on Hindmarsh drive going towards Woden.....yesterday about 5.10pm
  22. Nah - not me... I live in Belconnen and drive out to Symonston and back every day--- Spotted - a very dark blue Skyline about 10:30 Fri night - near Radford College. If you are out there dude your left front headlight isn't working so well..... I often see a very very yellow Skyline out near Duntroon-----whizzes the other way too quick for me to tell what model----
  23. All sorted !!!! Didn't manage to organise a 4 door but she is using mine and another white one....
  24. Where did you spot the White R33 - might have been mine!! (I wish)
