  1. Larger photos in topic on BC: http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....howtopic=383321
  2. Do a search, plenty have been written about Tokyo Toys / TT Racing on here in the past. If you can't be bothered doing a search, most of what's been written hasn't exactly been in positive light.
  3. Any good for cars other than Skylines / Nissans?
  4. As I was trying to say the other day before the site went offline, this sounds like a great idea. I went off the whole racing thing recently, because I couldn't be f*cked keeping and maintaining a car that gets used for little else. Motorsport is an expensive hobby, and if you can go out there knowing that you won't have to pay towing costs, or costs for fixing any breakages, then I am all for it.
  5. Does anyone that lives or drives around the Noosa area regularly, want to do me a small favour? I just need some information which should be relatively easy to get. It is quite important, otherwise I wouldn't be asking here. PM for details. Will give a small thank you for information.
  6. I wouldn't worry about the SR20 causing any problems provided the car hasn't had the living sh*t trashed out of it, and maintenance has been fairly regular. A lot of turbo engines have had problems, but no engine will last forever when it is flogged regularly.
  7. Yeah that's my car. I was fairly happy with the day, although I could definitely improve on my times with more runs (and better front tyres / wheel alignment etc).
  8. I can't believe how easily Ray was lighting up his tyres on his 1600 off the line. I know traction was a problem for a lot of people there, but damn no-one even came close to the amount of tyre smoke. Shame he crashed it, was a nice car. That Skyline looks like it has some balls. Second in the road registered class isn't too shabby.
  9. Lexus LS400 or Toyota Soarer V8 or maybe even a Holden V8. Just don't tell anyone. Then again, I would probably sell due to rising petrol costs and get something economical.
  10. There's: Slide Street in Keppera Slipstream Road in Coomera Drifter Court in Jimboomba Speedy Street in Kelvin Grove Spinny Court in Margate
  11. 16 x 6.5" +40 205/55/16 or 225/50/16 (option)
  12. What did the funny noise sound like? Starter jammed on? Misfiring?
  13. fuel pump wiring topic here: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=150876 I am not familiar with Skylines, so not sure if all the issues that are in there are applicable, but you may be able to get some benefit from the topic.
  14. Sounds like it is going into limp home mode. Walbros tend to get loud when the voltage isn't as great as it should be, however if the battery or alternator was at fault, I would expect it to cause problems at other times too. Did you earth the Walbro to the body, or are you relying on the factory earth?

  16. Don't bother with slip-ons, the only ones that I would go for are bolt-ons. While there is always the risk of a wheel coming off regardless of which approach you choose, with the bolt-ons there is a lesser amount of risk than with the slip-ons.
  17. Possibly the diff. I had a similar problem with my 180sx. I thought it was steering related, and it sounded very similar to the description that you have given to your problem. Ended up changing the diff (to a 1.5way), as I had planned to anyway, and since then it hasn't been a problem.
  18. You can always rely on Yahoo auctions to tell you the offsets of standard wheels, and give you a good idea of what a particular type of second-hand aftermarket Jap wheel may be too. http://search1.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/sea...=0jp&acc=jp. For the record R32 GTR is 16x8 +30.
  19. The mystery deepens. Same car, different seller: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...80&trecs=64
  20. That reminds me of one of the neighbours I had as a child. They had an SLR5000 Torana. I loved that car. The sound of the V8 would send a shiver down my spine.
  21. Another site to keep an eye on is http://www.mgccq.org.au/ particularly if you are interested in the hillclimb events.
  22. Here's my tips Make sure the car look unique, so it couldn't be mistaken for a car which was seen hooning around. Drive like a normal citizen on the road, especially when other cars / people are around. Don't recline the seat too much or wear your cap backwards / sideways to make you look like a young punk. If the police pull up next to you, avoid eye contact. Hang out with other car enthusiasts at your own risk. I think that pretty much sums it up.
  23. No that's not me, I know the fellow that owns it though. I hope to have mine out at the next meet. This is mine: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sh...74#entry3267974
