  1. Thats pretty much how the stock ecu does it. I had no idea if the FC did the same though.
  2. Could be worse and you live in NSW. Hopefully I'll join you Brisvagas people (for good) in a month or so.
  3. Do it yourself. I would. Big sense of acomplishment I would think.
  4. Can't say with regards to the power fc but with the stock nissan ecu's adjusting the lag times affects the idle mixture. Too much correction it will run too rich and not enough too lean.
  5. The kit comes with every thing you need to convert from the stock turbo, water and oil lines to the GTRS turbo and ss water/oil lines. Dont forget the kit comes with the Uprated adjustable acuator. Just shorten the shaft and once you get the psi you want your set. So no need for a boot controller. Took me a bit over half a day to do the conversion myself and I am not a real fast worker when it comes to mechanical stuff. The kit is a very ood bang for buck if you ask me. Cheers mate!
  6. Yeah you hit the nail on the head there. Kool Thanks for all the feed back lads. Sydney Roads and hard suspension is killing me.
  7. I am going to ditch my D2's and eventually go the SK Whiteline Kit for My R32 GTS-t. So obviously I need start with getting a set of strut tops first. I saw GTR stock suspension on eBay and I am wondering if the strut tops are the same. My guess is they are. Thanks Guys.
  8. All you need to do is buys 6 high quality ceramic 7-10 ohm resisters from farnell and solder them in series with the injector driver outputs on the ecu loom. I did this for both my brother r32 and my r32 and neither have had issues. I soldered the resistors just past the ecu plug in the cabin. Works a treat. Farnell resistors they are alot smaller than the jaycar ceramic ones so installation is easer and neater. I'll look up the part number tonight and post it then.
  9. They will if you change the front strut tops. R33's tops are different to R32's.
  10. My Brother and I put a nismo pump into his R32 and its much louder than the stocker and a little louder than my 040. That little pump revs/hums quite a bit.
  11. I am sure the RB20 should be round the 140 psi. If anything you have better compression than stock so don't stress. I wouldn't worry about it.
  12. Well It looks like my alternator is on its way out. Its holding voltage ok but when I load it up (lights etc) it starts to make slight grinding sound and is loading up the engine more than it should. So I think the bearings are on the way out. I want to get it recoed but I have no idea where I could get this done for a resonable price. Oh and the car is an R32 GTS-T (RB20DET) Any help is appreciated.
  13. I'm In. I need to get out again. Done SFA since Jan.
  14. I'm getting 16.5 psi atm with the one on my GTRS. It appears to have alot more left in it. I am hoping to get it to 20psi. I think it should be capable. Just holding out until i rewire up my fuel pump.
  15. I made 230 odd rwkws on 15psi @ 11.5 afr on my very last dyno run over a year ago. I have run it at 22 psi but never dynoed it at that power level but it definately made 15psi feel slow. As for a bolt on you will need to use a 2mm spacer plate on the t3 flange as the compressor housing will hit the exhaust manifold otherwise and the intake will need modifying as its 3" inlet not the 2 1/2" like the stock turbo.
  16. No its not on the car any more. I had this setup for about 12 months. Boost started round 2500rpm and full boost round 5500rpm.
  17. It has AR 48 on the rear housing. I had it on my RB20 and it was full boost (14psi) round 5500rpm. Cheers!
  18. Hi I am now selling my old turbo. Its an Innovative Turbo System (ITS) unit. Its bush bearing and is rated at 500hp From memory. Reason for selling was I have just upgraded to a HKS GTRS unit and I would like to get some cash back. Comes with Heavy Duty Adjustable actuator and braided oil line for the rb20/25, and dump pipe adapter for stock application. Waterline fittings are the same as stock. These are sold round $2750.00 from UAS. I am asking $1000, though I am negotiable on the price. UAS PIC 1 UAS PIC 2 Pics above are just for informational use. I will take some photos of the actual unit soon.
  19. Its the cold start idle up valve. When you are starting the car the ecu opens up the valve to allow more air to bypass the throttle body and straight into the plenum and giving the motor a boost of air to help it start. If you are usening an after market ecu then you may not use it.
  20. Count me in for one for the R32 GTS-T.
  21. Modding skylines could be classed as a disease.
  22. R32's tend to do this. My R32 has been doing it for years and this problem is no different on my new motor. Nothing worth worrying about. My brothers R32 does it as well. Buggered if i know why.
