  1. Im pretty sure its based on the V36 Skyline http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/V36/0611/index.html
  2. Sorry, i missread, youre after REAR bar, ill check FAST again tonight
  3. If they have AV inputs it will work, as it will display digital TV on a NTSC or PAL screen, youd have to investigate what the antenna setup is, or use the 'stick on' ones
  4. yes, i meant to say if its dragged by back.
  5. if they dont have a flatbed on hand, best to remove front driveshaft
  6. couldnt find any lower lip reference for S2s only S1s, there is listings for DAYZS parts in the acc sections, but the whole lower front bumper, possibly if someone has a DAYZS vin number we could track a part number down.
  7. not sure what the setup is on V35s with regard to antennas and inputs, PM Chris or read his info @ http://www.audioexpress.com.au/. I think he has fully integrated an add-on tuner as well as navigation to operate as 'factory'. PS. DIY install updated to extraction of tuner and wiring procedure.
  8. Here's a 110amp upgrade, not sure of the availablity here , http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/260788 Also some Z32s use a 90amp and non-turbo R33s possibly use 90amp
  9. I was looking at the SPAL dual 12s, http://www.spalusa.com/fans/automated/tech...ts/30102130.pdf , but at around 40 to 50 amps !!!! that was ridiculous, and i also have the problem of the thicker KOYO radiator. But the 16" should slide in fine, on paper anway. Ill have to keep an eye on things like you suggest.
  10. There is some Auto diagnostic information on this page http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ar-t203136.html , its for the R34, but the 4AT diagnostic may work. Also, run the ECU diagnostic, if you havnt already. But my first guess would be coil packs, even though they check alright, they are famous for leaking spark to earth around the age of yours. Where are you located ? maybe someone can recommend a skyline expert in the area, or someone can lend you a set of coil packs. If they are at fault, best option is to get Splitfires, which is what most RB's need to do eventually. Bad Air flow meter connection? doubtful.
  11. good advice, the 16" spal im installing ( http://www.spalusa.com/fans/automated/tech_sheets/2082.pdf ) pulls 22 amps @ full speed. With the automatic variable speed controller Im hoping it will only use full power sparingly. Am I right in assuming @ half speed for example the current draw will be significantly less than 22amps ?
  12. for those without antennas: Spoke to ASUKA and they informed me that the supplied antennas are definitely 'active' (amplified). So i did some more tests. This time i positioned 1 on front and 1 on rear window, as opposed to both on rears side windows last time, which did not provide a wide field of view for the antennas. I received a much stronger, stable signal which was almost (~90%) as good as the Stagea antennas. There is still the option of the amps recommended by Chris (adjusted down carefully) to protect tuner, but the signal from the Asuka antennas should be more than acceptable for most.
  13. Ive got digital TV working perfectly on my Stagea, not sure what the Gtt setup is, if they have AV inputs on the tuner box/ head unit, then there is no reason why you cant have digital TV with your factory or aftermarket screen : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...Tv-t203961.html
  14. dont the manuals have the 3 gauge cluster, one being oil pressure ? maybe Nissan were lazy and plumbed the wires for the Autos as well ??? anyway, would this wire/signal be compatable with your gauge ?
  15. Rebonds sound pretty good after that sort of test.
  16. The M35's use different front pads to C34's, cross referencing some Japanese pad sites, looks like the early M35's may use the same front as the J31 2003 on Maxima, DB1485, and the later ones use the V35 Skyline pad. Havnt checked rears. http://www.bendix.com.au/Catalogue/BrakePr...PDFs/DB1485.pdf http://www.project-mu.co.jp/matching/pad/i...nissan/F209.pdf http://www.project-mu.co.jp/matching/pad/i...nissan/F250.pdf
  17. mine weren't changed.
  18. Some info on the S2 pads, seems they are the same as some infinitys and 2006 on non-brembo 350Z's, which i dont think we got here. Must be a decent pad if they are still using it on performance cars. Anyway, may be helpful for some trying to track down a pair...probably from overseas, although Bendix list the rears. fronts: http://catalog.hawkperformance.com/h_produ...any_id=10028147 http://www.endless-sport.co.jp/brake_pad/s...rn/ep/EP373.pdf http://www.project-mu.co.jp/matching/pad/i...nissan/F239.pdf Rears: http://www.bendix.com.au/ProductCatalogue....amp;Hash=655370 http://www.project-mu.co.jp/matching/pad/i...nissan/R234.pdf http://www.endless-sport.co.jp/brake_pad/s...rn/ep/EP285.pdf http://catalog.hawkperformance.com/h_produ...any_id=10028147
  19. excellent, thanks Chris, ive been waiting for you to add your expertise. Is the DW32 the best option from this range ? looks like a serious amp, guess it depends on how serious ($$) "non-TV" stagea people want to go with their TVs. http://www.gme.net.au/matv/distribution_amps.php
  20. Dont know of any boosters available locally, maybe someone has seen some around ? probably something similar to this, http://www.ekmpowershop2.com/ekmps/shops/m...oster-259-p.asp maybe some caravan, specialist audio shops have something similar if people cant get through net from overseas. Ill keep on the lookout. Im expecting the units to arrive around last week of FEB, will get in touch with all those expressing interest around then, thanks.
  21. some photos showing underside of unit and underside of factory tuner box(where VTR2 inputs are). Those 3 colour coded sockets(red, green and grey) + 1 larger socket are for the the factory aerials, best to label the cable before you cut off coloured plug.
  22. Once you run the diagnosis, it will clear the codes, until it detects them again, that's why you only saw them once. Those codes could have theoretically been there for years, so hard to know which ones are relevant without driving it after its been cleared.
  23. great to hear, did you have any problems getting into diagnostic mode ? took me a few dozen attempts to get it right, instructions are not that clear in at least one place....for me anyway.
  24. Did some tests with the antennas supplied by ASUKA tonight, for those without the factory antennas. These antennas are 'active' ie. amplified like the Stagea ones, and the signal very good. I live in a hilly area and the signal broke slightly when i was behind a hill, but clear with a rough line of sight to the source. Overall had about 80% the strength of the factory aerial. There are some aftermarket active aerials and boosters around, of varying quality, and may have to re-configure the plugs. Suppose it depends on area in which you live, your needs and your signal strength/terrain.
