  1. Picked up a pretty neat Panasonic reverse camera today (in Japan), measures 21mm sq, available in black or silver, with white, red or blue facias available.
  2. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/182298 try this one
  3. http://www.g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=204599 I still reckon there would be an easier way using the port.
  4. Id guess it would have to be done through the OBD port, eg bridging 2 pins as in previous models. Maybe ask in the V35 forum, should be same for them. Or will leaving it disconnected overnight reset it ?
  5. It says: Warning engine. Stop car for detailed information. (gear in P) Press here for details. (bottom left corner "bracket symbols")
  6. The unit will be permanently in overide mode without the button connected, they are sold in japan with or without button, optional.
  7. OK, 30min later, SPEED SIGNAL is BLACK with WHITE stripe, goes into the single row plug above the temp gauge on back of cluster. Just intercept it about 15cm back from cluster.
  8. 1 Problem: I think the speed sensor goes to dash first, then from dash to ecu, (or perhaps 2 independant wires) so either way, you would have to intercept before dash to change your speedo, at ECU will not change speedo. Ill check dash wire soon
  9. a warning for all: as part of the fan controller setup i had to run the temp up to around 90 degrees (measured on the ECU coolant sensor), but i noticed the dash temp gauge (which uses a different sensor, single spade wire) had not moved past normal, around 80 degrees. So no matter how hot I ran it, the gauge wouldnt move past normal, little bit dangerous. Took sensor out and confirmed it with a bench test, in boiling water, resistance still showed ~80 degrees. Something that most people wouldnt think of replacing.
  10. If it were possbile mechanically, you would need to change the Auto ECU, then it would be a task to get the M35/V35 Auto ECU to have a conversation with the Engine ECU.
  11. Can't see what the customer is so upset about. You did the right thing by holding off cutting the bar without his permission, as he might not have realised what was involved and got even more upset. Let him go elsewhere and be someone elses problem.
  12. i think it is variable in 1% increments
  13. probably air con thermofan
  14. i didnt have any trouble finding it, perhaps it is written on the back of the instrument cluster i think, and you can trace it to the plug and harness from there. If you still cant find it, send me a PM and ill pull cluster out and let you know. Jaycar was bit confusing to set up, but havnt had to worry about it since, works great.
  15. ionizes the air (negatively charges the air ?). Popular in japanese houses, supposed to be beneficial for hayfever, stress and allegies etc.
  16. good to hear, big relief Im sure, any idea what caused it though ?
  17. finished my thermofan install today, about 2cm to spare due to larger radiator. pics for anyone interested.
  18. Ive got a Jap reader...my wife. Ive also got the Stagea manual, covers RE4R01B and A models, in Japanese but plenty of pics, should be easy enough for a mechanic. Also my NISSAN FAST program can display all the part numbers from the B box. What is the problem with the shift kit? I sent my B valve body to MV in Adelaide, done no probs.
  19. thanks, FAST shows a 'check valve' on the outside of the tank as well, guess ill drop the tank soon and check everything. How do you check if the pump's check valve is gone ? blow the opposite way and check for back-pressure ?
  20. Did you drive it after you had centre console out ? or something that has happened well after you did any mods ? The Auto ECU should have fused power, check for power there, the 12V wire or wires should stand out from the rest.
  21. I got my philiips D2Rs from the States on ebay, think around $80 for the pair.
  22. If you run the VIN through NISSAN FAST, it can tell you, PM me and i can check it.
  23. If they are HIDs, then the bulb size is D2R, a 4500k bulb will give a nice factory white light. I bought my phillips D2R's on ebay from states, very reasonable.
  24. sounds same as C34, Auto ecu with a large harness, probably start unplugging and replugging all the plugs on centre console first though. just test as you go.
  25. yeah, no gear signal getting through to ECU, like Murray said, check harnesses. Bad connection or something left off. Also check connections at Auto ECU, drivers kick panel on C34s.
