Alright, bit of an update with my car. - I've got some new Just Jap Camber arms, - got my LCAs modded so they're adjustable and rose jointed now, - oil restrictors in - new sump on the way - installed Haltech IQ3 GPS logger dash as well as a few more sensors here and there. - shed is fully stocked with tyres ready for Super Sprints on the 30th oct and the Round 5 of Tas Drift series on the 5th Nov. I've got a new front bar too that I'm going to attempt to make a splitter for but will most likely be terribad. Shooting for a 59 second lap around basky on the 30th assuming the weather is awesome Saving up for some 18" wheels too, not really sure what to get though, I'm thinking D1R Lensos still because they're really cheap, but there is something about them that makes me not want to buy them... Setup for sprints will be maybe soften up the rear end a little to stop me sliding around like an asshole -4.5 degrees camber on the front, -1.2 on the rear (not adjustable yet); Hoping more camber on the front will help the mid corner understeer I've been getting. Aiming high now and going for a 59 second lap around basky on my drift tyres. (still saving up for some semis) Goals for drift include doing a whole run without spinning out haha. Just qualifying would be awesome. Anyway, wish me luck and I hope too see you out there on the track with me Edit: Shitty phone video of dash

Hey Guys, I'm selling my WRX in order to get a tow car. Sad times indeed. Model : MY98 WRX Colour : Blue Rego : EH5744 (registered till Jan 2012.) Odo : Just ticked over 210,000 Price : $10000 ono Contact: PM me on here. I get the notifications on my phone so I'll reply quickly. Condition : Car is pretty clean, just had the roof and front guards resprayed. Has a few pin dents here and there about 5 in total around the car. Recently installed a new gearbox and clutch (exedy). Just had it's major 200,000k service and changed timing belt. I've got receipts for all the work done on it, all recent work has been done by GT Garage. Interior is really nice considering it's age, it's only just now starting to wear a little bit on the steering wheel but the handbrake and gearknob are all in great condition. Features: Power Windows, Air Conditioning, Leather MOMO Steering Wheel, Leather Gearknob and Handbrake lever. Driver and Passenger AirBags. Mods: Pod filter, Muffler, 17" Gold WRX mags with Falken FK 452s (Just put a new set on!) Rolled Guards (No guard rub at all ) Whiteline Swaybars. Whiteline Camber Bolts Slotted rotors. Apexi Power FC ECU. TurboTech Manual Boost Controller Boost Gauge New Alpine Headunit Rockford Fosgate Speakers, 6" Spilts in front, 6.5" in the parcel shelf. Turbo Timer. (off-1-3-5min adjustment) STi Foglamp covers STi Rear Wing Custom Aluminum Bash plate for ultimate wildlife protection. This is one seriously quick car, dynoed at 179kw at the wheels, and takes only 66 seconds to get around Baskerville. But it's seriously easy to drive quickly. Looking for a quick sale. Price Negotiable.

I use my old mans Holden Collarado for towing my skyline, doesn't even feel like it's on there. Really nice. I just bought my self a 2001 Navara DX 4x4 3L TD for towing (3000kg towing capacity) now because Mum and sister needs dad's car for towing their ponies around. It's good, just don't tow in 5th or gearbox goes bye bye (apparently). Doesn't have a huge amount of power but i like it Much better than my old bravo, front wheels were pretty much coming off the ground...

Lower Pressure Boost Control
zoidbergmerc replied to pipster11's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
could you have a boost Tee and a 3 port solenoid to by pass it at the flick of a switch to run gate pressure? That's kind of what I have on mine. Solenoid off = gate pressure. Solenoid on = Boost controlled by ECU but instead of an ECU or EBC doing the work have a TurboTech boost Tee? I had one on my skyline for a bit and still using one on my WRX, they're win. Could be a cheaper option? -
Mine did a similar thing when my tps wasn't working properly

Spotted Brad Sherriff's new best lap around basky on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSpQAF4UMec Looks easy enough
-
I'll take the ECU if you don't want it Tommy
-
Veeto put his on the trans tunnel on the passenger side, still within reach but it's not getting in anyones way Mine is infront of the drivers seat, never gets in the way, just good to know it's there, also handy if you've got a banging stezza, never know when that amp is going to catch fire, it happened to a Finny! There are pics on here somewhere.
-
Just leave it in there? Never know when you might need it The best way to make it removeable would be to drill two holes in the place where you want it and get some of those cool nuts you can pop rivet in (or weld in) so then you don't have to worry about getting on the back of it to hold the nut. Keep in mind that when you're doing this, the bracket needs to be metal and it needs to be able to withstand a force of 25Gs which you'd achieve in a small crash.
-
hahaha, and miss out on all that fun?!

I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one, I want one!!!! NEED A Splitter and a mad wing I wish I had mad fab skillz...
-
maybe.... We're also more than welcome
-
Some dudes from rexnet are heading out for some private practice on the 29th.
-
I'm after a stock R33 or preferably R34 side mount intercooler
-
yeah, lots of things could be making it lumpy. You need some big f**k off cams to make an RB lumpy though.
-
There will be no Nav gearing up. It's good to go! Maybe some new speakers... and a FMIC.... Slightly bigger turbo wouldn't hurt.... maybe some spotties too... hmmm, wouldn't mind a tool box in the tray... side steps would be nice too... and a sports bar in the tray... Winch would be handy... 2 inch body lift would make off roading more pleasurable. Need a compressor too... EGT gauge would be a wise investment also... might get a piggyback ecu for it too. I'll need a bigger zorst then too. Sorkel will help getting to work on those rainy days... hmmmmm
-
Yay! New car
-
yeah this is the last sprints at basky. Weekend after is Drifting Round 5 Then later there is a hill climb at basky
-
This is it folks, the event we've been yarning about all thread. http://www.mgtas.org.au/Competition/club%20day%20flyer%20October%20%202010.pdf I think everyone who was at the last SAU track day needs to come to this one. It's going to be EPIC! I'm going and I'll have MOAR camber and oil restricters in too so hopefully I should be able to pound round all day worry free. I don't think I'll organise any more "SAU Track days" until I can piggy back the event off another clubs insurance and what not. Unfortunately they're just too popular for me to organise by my self, last time got a little hektik Sorry guys. But I'm in the drifting Tasmania committee now so I'll try and fire something up for us through that or HSCC maybe, if anyone knows anything or anyone then send me a PM, I'd love to have a chat Until a time that I can get SAU track days fired up again, I say we just gatecrash all the other events, sprints, Drift Practice days and hill climbs Skyline domination would be epic.

What's Needed For Basic Drift Setup?
zoidbergmerc replied to SKITTLES's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
that's a mighty fine list you've got there son Rack spacers should be on there too at #3. Drift button too if you don't already have one. Maybe a deep dish steering wheel too so you're not always slapping the wiper\indicators when you're throwing the wheel around. (that's if you have this problem)
