Series 1. The coils all run off an ignitor. Your ignitor is likely goosed or at least has a dodgy connection.

Hahaha! Cool. I had both Mum n Dad in my car a couple of weeks ago, we were talking about turbos and relating it to how Dad drives everywhere at low revs. (3 L V6 Navara) So I showed them the difference between doing 80km/h in 5th and 80km/h in 3rd. Certainly got a reaction. I've been a little Freaked since Friday cause my car started making a weird whistling noise. Thinking maybe the worst (turbo) or split hose, belt squeal etc but it was really inconsistent. Speed seemed to contribute towards it but it would also do it at low speed or stopped and idling. Free reving or Boost didn't really seem to affect it in the way you would think. Puzzling... Sounded like that whistle you get sometimes with a roofrack or something outside the car whistling thru the air... Turns out, one of my dash vents was closed and the air rushing thru at speed or even with the fan being on was causing it. Thank F**k!!! LOL

So it has Stock Side Mount Intercooler? Stock Airbox? Is the Exhaust Turbo back or Cat back? Does it have an aftermarket boost gauge? What boost are you getting now? If it's a stock turbo with stock ECU then you could go as high as 10psi but it would certainly be better with a more free flowing intercooler etc...

Welcome to the SAU world Brodie! Female + Skyline = Your car looks Awesome with those Rims and a GTR Wing will Definately be Tougher than the series 1 wing but please, for love of the God of Boost, don't put a GTR badge on a Non GTR. Having said that, Enjoy your car and all that SAU can offer.
