Hey dude, cheers for the diagram The R32 has an rb20 in it, personally i much prefer the 32. I was looking for a 32 wit rb25 in it but couldnt find it and found one with an rb20 in it that was in great nick! The 33 is more of a cruisey sort of car, the rb25 makes up for the weight in a straight line (although the 32 with same mods tends to go slightly harder as you can wind up the boost!) but its around the corners the 32 stands ahead. If your looking for a street racer id go a 32, if your looking to cruise around id go a 33. Both have very nice interiors however the 33 is abit more roomy and of course has the advantage of being a newer car!

Replaced the air-con fuse's n still nothing... will head off to Nissan to replace the fan itself i guess. Didnt think that was a very common problem tho lol
-
Any1 have a fuse list for the R33 as i cant read Jap... lol I checked all the fuse's and they appeared all fine, i will replace the air con fan one anyway just incase if i can figure out which fuse it is!

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
jazza08 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ive seen 265s on a 10' wide rim before in a car mag, never in real life. I doubt 275s would fit with everything standard? If you take our ur guard liner (i believe our 33 still has them) that may help also! Nothin too much to worry about unless it rubs real hard of course -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
jazza08 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Interstin... dads 33 has 235/40 wit 8' wide on front and 265/35 wit 9' wide on the rear with no problems at all, gaurds havnt been rolled either... So i cant see any problems? Maybe your offset is slightly different though! -
Thats a fact! I meant it takes alil while to find the perfect car for yourself no matter what it is (unless its a new car lol). If you was searchin for a 32 or 180 you would be looking for longer hehe
-
now comes the long part.... hahaha Pm me if you need any help in future mate be happy to help out!
-
Fair call! If it was a choice for you between the 180 and R33, no competition the R33 is just such a nicer car and you wont always want to be chucking it around you'll be happy to cruise
-
Mate sr20/rb20s can run 300rwhp on standard internals, rb25s can do 400rwhp on standards, the Skylines extra weight still wont matter with 100rwhp more! (Unless we talking drift then the s13 wit 300rwhp will probably still be easier to drift lol) And how can u say s13 feels like a real Jap performance car becoz of its chuckability? The GTR Skyline is Nissans real performance car and weighs in at more than the GTSTs.. so I dont think ur comment is really fair but we are all allowed our opinion of course Personally i owned an s13 (180sx turbo) and went to an R32 GTST, the Skylines build quality is just far far better. Funny enough my 32 handles alot better (due to coil-overs) and weighed in less than my mates 180 (1220kgs compaired to 1260kgs neither cars stripped etc). The R33 is similar to the 32, very nice car to drive much more stable on the freeways etc however the 33 does loose abit in the handling department to an s13 and r32, doesn't loose any straight line speed due to the increased capacity (rb25) though. The 33 interior is probably abit nicer than the 32 (more spacey) and obviously WORLDS apart from an s13s batpoo interior! Brakes on a Skyline are also much much better than an s13 DET (which are better than n/a s13 of course). Your going to be a very happy boy going to the Skyline, its a decsion i made now will never go back from

How To Eliminate Understeer?
jazza08 replied to Nathan_G1's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just street and occasional track work, nothing major though. Car handles better than I expected so im not too concerned was just curious if that would influence understeer abit! Thanks for the help dude -
How To Eliminate Understeer?
jazza08 replied to Nathan_G1's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey peeps. In need of some help here... my front wheels erm shake when you jack up the car (only fronts). Now i was told this is the steering arm controls or something along those lines, the rears dont do this but both fronts do. There is 215/45/17s on the front, would this increase understeer on my car as the fronts are unstable??? I have coil-overs and the back of the car just grips awsome and the front does well however is the first bit to give me any issues, just curious if new steering arm controls will reduce some of the understeer? -
Already bought one but thanks

Hey peeps Looking for the shroud that goes over the thermo fan for an rb20det. Mines cut and the pits chucked a sad at me over it (guy was an asshole...) Also the GTR cams have different lifters which make things hard, looked into that and its not worth the effort of swapping them over mate.

Stock boost is 10psi but in regards to that gauge alot of people have said different things... Id probably agree with the comment above actually!

Rough Idle After Plug Change. Rb25det
jazza08 replied to NateR31's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ye but ur running 17+psi right Simon? You'd need smaller gaps than say his high boost which would be 1bar??, on a stock turbo...? -
Rough Idle After Plug Change. Rb25det
jazza08 replied to NateR31's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
From my limited knowledge on the subject, if you up the boost the spark plug gaps need to come down, so 7psi may be fine with 1.1mm gaps but say 14psi would need atleast 0.8mm. Yes the smaller gap will perform slightly less but is needed to run higher boost. In regards to why its bad on idle not too sure on that one... -

How To Eliminate Understeer?
jazza08 replied to Nathan_G1's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
My 32 has been lowered on coil-overs and Im not into drift etc but found it understeers more than i would like it to... id prefer to set it up for track. I was under the impression that a front and rear strut brace would help handling?? Does HICAS make the cars handle worse...?
