  1. You will chop him very very hard with those mods against an stock auto s15. You have manual vs auto, a bigger turbo and modifications done! Standard the s15 sr20 would have quiet alot more torque than a standard rb20 though Sarkis. Anyway go and find out mate, im sure you'll be happy with the results
  2. I wudnt of thought with an rb25 wit cams the to4e wud of been THAT bad? My mate has a HKS to4e which comes on full boost (18-20psi) by 4,500rpm, on an rb25 that would be lower and again with cams, but maybe the hks/garrett turbos are quiet different or i have the model number mixed up and its just a to4 or somethin. Define 'laggy' in ur opinion... As for tuning make it a power fc no question. You can also tune it for abit less lag if you spend some extra time on the lower rpm's.
  3. 17psi will go hard But makes ur turbo crap itself... lol Id leave it at 1bar if your someone who wants occasional drags and doesn't drive the car hard all day everyday. If you are abit like that try 12psi as the turbo will last longer.
  4. Pump is the small device that sits under the water bottle near the exit of the bottle. Power for rear wiper is located in the top of ur boot, simply pull out the plug under the covered area! I found you need a good jet to spray the mist of it will drip leak unfortauntaly.. i have since taken it off and put a fmic on but i thought it was good for keepin the stocko cooler!
  5. Cheers for the info as I certainly learnt a couple things just then!
  6. I get what your trying to say but what was said was bullshit. Attach that turbo and boost it to 1.1bar and it will make 248rwkw... i dont think so and thats the point i was trying to make... And when you run 15psi through a un-chipped 33/34 ecu we know what happens in regards to timing/fuel so its useless which is also what i was trying to say. Maybe thats abit clearer??
  7. Hold on a factory ecu is was what i meant. And you can't run 1.1bar on a factory ecu in a 33 as i have one sitting in the driveway it chucks a sad over 11-12psi and you go nowhere. Secondly 260rwkw and 119mph in a stock weight r33 doesnt sound right?? My mates R32 is 235rwkw and runs 108-10mph i didnt think 30ish rwkw with extra weight would get you another 9mph. If it does then thats definatly my inexpierance...
  8. Im happy to stand corrected Is your car stripped etc 2rismo as 265rwkw and 119mph is no where near normal obviously is it! What i was meaning to say was the you can't attach a boost controller onto a factory r33/34 ecu and run say 15psi. The ecu will retard fuel/timing. It seems over in the 'far away' Western Aus, nobody here can or will chip an R33/34 ecu yet! I was talking about it today with a tuner so i wasn't aware it was able to happen over east. Cheers for the info.
  9. Factory ECU can't be chipped and will not boost over 10-12psi in R33/34s without retarding the timing majorly hints 1.1bar can not be run on a factory ecu let alone the standard cooler. Also 260rwkw in an r33 will not get you even close to high 11's even with slicks mate.... You'd be looking mid 12s if your a good driver on street tyres and maybe low 12s on slicks at best.
  10. I did email otomoto and i do believe they didn't mislead me about anything also. Just to confirm what Ben is saying.
  11. Interested in seperating tyres from rims?
  12. LOL!! 248rwkw with factory ecu (that won't let you boost to 1.1bar) and standard intercooler that if you could boost to that would be very dangerous?? Dreaming...
  13. Judging by that dyno it would be even more laggy on an rb20 and not a good turbo for the lil 2l..
  14. Remember you need a new dump pipe with these turbos. Good final figure but a hi-flowed rb25 turbo may of been a better choice for less lag and similar kw figure. Pretty good value for money though!
  15. It made 270ish rwhp on a standard rb20 turbo?? I dont think a tune can do that mate unless you mean it made 270ish on ur t04e? Just looking for confirmation mate
  16. Gary is that after its been running for awhile on the dyno... or after you've given it stick say 4-5 times in a row? As thats when i would of thought the smaller GT-T cooler would suffer heatsoak?
  17. Pm sent
  18. Bumpppp
  19. They are fine intercoolers, but are intended for 7psi on a stock rb25 turbo no more... remember nissan produced intercoolers on the gtst/gtt's to be able to deal with the heat/pressure produced from factory. I in no means want to argue with Sydneykid as he knows his stuff very well but for the price of a fmic and the safety it brings with it i wouldnt consider messing around with a side mount. I think you'll notice after a few taps on the accelerator the small little smic will get quiet heat soaked on 12psi on a normal day!
  20. What he means is that 2.5psi will give you say 10hp but create alot more heat from the turbo, higher exhaust temp gas's mean higher chance of detionation along with the turbo being under more stress... so some people believe for the small gain to be had from 12 to 14.5psi its not worth it! Its a good idea for ppl who have a long term interest in keeping the car and standard turbo
  21. Wud of been fun for awhile... lol!! You said the hi-flow combo was good for 290rwkw (maybe 300), thats around 388rwhp?? And he estimates are 370-380rwhp? These are pretty high figures, very impressive.
  22. Keep us informed dude Lots of ppl who ask about hi-flows, yours is just further proof that GCG do a great job!
  23. Well im happy to stand corrected! Very impressive figures, the first thing i thought was 16psi you have a few more psi to play with and then i read the end of ur post... lol Generally ppl dont use Q45 and Greddy Plenum which would help free up air flows and make more hp which could explain your higher than 'average' figure.
  24. The 2psi will give more hp, just not too much more, as you said it will increase heat a fair bit and shorten the life of the turbo! Generally I would say 400hp (rb25) is the limit on standard internals if you treat it right and have a very good tune I think what he means above is that some dyno'd read higher than others, so a person may say i make 300rwkw on standard internals where as on a diff dyno they'd be making 270ish rather than having a diff turbo n set up?
