Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok i replaced the catch can with a better set up, two lines running to it and it has a built in breather and i still get oil smoke.... Next up i will have the turbo oil line looked at to see if it has a restrictor on it otherwise check the line to the sump isnt blocked. If its not that then i guess its the turbo oil seal??? -
Howto: Water Spray For Aftermarket Intercooler

If you look under ur boot ull find a plug, pull that out rather than cutting wires that way when u want the rear window wiper to work you just plug it back in, no cut wires -
Pm's replied. Spark plugs have not been touched in terms of gapping! They were put straight into the motor and taking out within a few weeks lol

Hey peeps I have 6 NGKs, they were used on my car for under 1,000kms as i needed a colder heat range plug when i got my new turbo tuned on 18psi. I used these plugs on my car when it had stock turbo and they were great. These plugs cost me around $28 each! The code for the plugs are BCPR6EIX-11. Selling all 6 of them for $75 posted anywhere in Aus registered. Pic is below Thanks all Regards Jaz

Hey peeps, bought this off BATMBL a short while ago. My turbo then blew after i over boosted it a few time lol So i put an external gate on the car with a 3' dump thus i no longer need this. The item has done very little kms (cars been in workshop...) but im not sure exactly how many, def well under 3,000kms! Its mild steel, i bought if for $410 and will sell it for $300 + $10 postage anywhere in Aus. Here is some pics of the item in SS. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=38321 Thanks all, please email me at [email protected] or PM/reply on here! Be quick as ive got a few ppl interested before this post but looking to sell it asap. Regards Jaz

Split Fire Coil For R32 Gtr/gtst
jazza08 replied to dinzlr's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Sold -
Dont be weak.. just go external gate Before you go machining holes out just check that the dump pipe doesnt restrict the wastegate flap from opening fully as thats an easy fix! Otherwise it will be related to the hole being too small and unable to vent the gas's at higher rpms due to more exhaust wheel flow.

Hey all Have an rb20 turbo that i took off because it started to squeel when it came onto boost (above 10psi mind you). I believe its a bearing in the turbo but the turbo itself boosts fine. So probably good for a hi-flow job or unless you want a turbo to get outta trouble. Can come with rb20 actuator, turbo/cooler piping elbow and oil line... Looking for $100 plus postage costs and $20 more for the actuator/elbow/oil line. Thanks all Email me at [email protected] or leave a reply/pm here. Regards Jaz

Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The intercooler had a slight build up of oil but nothing outta the ordinary. The wierd thing was oil got into the boost controllers actuator line! That messed with my controller but i let it out and pulled a line off the block and it runs fine now, i have to keep it like that until i get the new catch can next week because if i hook it back up it'll cause the oil problem again! As it is its not too bad at all. -
Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
In my case the air intake route was blocked off, so all the bad oils etc have nowhere to go except to the catch can from the head. If the lines are too small or there is a problem with the breather then pressure can build up and force oil out in my case through the turbo's oil seal i believe? The system needs to be able to expell the gas's and extra oils that build up in the combustion process basically... -

I will sent two hoses to the catch can and have the breather ontop of the catch can Im still getting a tiny bit of smoke but im sure after the lines are looked at and the tuning plcae get it we can sort that out! Thanks for the help so far peeps. -
Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ive disconnected one of the lines that runs to the T piece and then to the catch can and the car seems to blow very little smoke now, still abit but about 90% less! So obviously i need a better catch can set up and ill check the drain lines etc anyway on monday. I should be able to keep off a defect now tho -
Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Some smoke comes out the rocker covers but when the catch can system is disconnected the car blows alot less smoke out of the exhaust system... Im off to buy a decent catch can and see if that helps peeps! Otherwise i think theres somethin else wrong aswell... maybe an oil drain/inlet problem? -
Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The T Piece runs to one of the inlets on the catch can. It used ot have two lines to it but then i couldn't have a breather (as the catch can didnt have one built in) so we used the 2nd inlet on the catch can and stuck a breather on that, but i am thinking that doesnt work... lol Car only blows alot of smoke when you have put ur foot down into boost, on idle its very minimal -
Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The car never ran an ounce of smoke and has had regular oil changes, its def not a bottom end issue its only happened since messing around with the turbo, injectors, afm, catch can and ecu! Interesting... i had the catch can modified so that i could block the gas's going into the intake before the tune but the car never ran with the catch can like that! It used to have 2 lines running to it from the head but the other lines still connected (so it didnt really do anything at all...) now i got one line running to it and the other line on it is a breather (maybe this doesnt work and i need a catch can with breather built in on to of it? The air filter now has no gas's running to it as its blocked up and im not sure about the other manifold side of things as he spoke of blocking that via something too but i cant tell... Pictures are below to explain what i mean! Should i go buy a new catch can so i can have two lines running from the head to it (maybe one isnt enough?) and have a breather on it standard as this one didnt as i said it had an inlet modified to have a breather on it which maybe doesnt do the job? -
I do have an incabin boost controller its not that... the wiper jets work fine too
-
sorry tube as shown in pic (well you can see the end of it in the pics and abit of its length)
-
Its a standard ecu with a biki or lumpy rom in it! It runs a z32 afm/gtr injectors etc now But i thought a loose wire stickin out was wierd lol

Help! Smoke From Exhaust With New Turbo
jazza08 replied to jazza08's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also it might be noted the car doesnt tend to blow much smoke when its not running warm or has been idlin for awhile (ie no load/rpms on the motor) -
Ok its not actually that thing, its a line that comes out of the firewall.... Any ideas?
