  1. EVC Sold Will let the air filter and timer go for $20 + postage together! Come'on ppl how dirt cheap is that!!!
  2. Ok remembering my GCG Hi-flow was based on an rb25 turbo (bigger turbine housing than rb20). You will get the turbo spooling around 3000rpm and expect full boost between 4200-4500rpm with a good elc boost controller (full boost being around 15psi), my turbo will hit 20psi at around 4800rpm but has external gate (internal welded up due to an uncommon creep problem) which actually made it slightly laggier for some odd reason! My turbo made 300rwhp on 20psi, remembering it doesnt need those boost levels on an rb25 to make more power (bastards... lol) but the rb20 needs the higher rpm's and boost levels on the turbo. With some cam's i believe you can get the boost on quiet abit earlier! And with an rb20 turbine housing that little bit earlier again. Its a great turbo for the street, it does suit an rb25 better but i have no problems with the lag on the old rb20 Now Andrew you better come on the cruise on antilag on friday for tests! We need a driving comparison for the hi-flow performance on an r32 rb20 against an r33 rb25 with more power n more weight!
  3. sorry for the ignorance, i want to buy some but will these cam gears go onto a set of hks or tomei cams??
  4. GCG will put a ball bearing pack into the turbo, machine it out and put steel wheels in it. Most hi-flows do a similar job, not all use ball bearings tho
  5. SOLD already, cant wait around at that kinda price!
  6. Im writing from my mates 180, went from stock cooler on 10psi to fmic with 3' piping and increased lag by afew hundred rpms... On my car i didnt seem to notice too much difference but my piping is 2.5' so not much bigger than stock
  7. mmm.. you will find cooler piping does make a noticeable difference. A top mount cooler running f**k all piping will seem quiet more responsive and less laggy, where as a large say 3' piping onto a fmic will obviously have more lag as the air has to travel further to get into the motor! It wont be huge but its noticable! In regards to the turbo you should get sh*t all lag with a HKS 25/10! A 25/30 will be more similar to a stock turbo and can flow up to 280rwhp (with supporting mods), Anything bigger and you really start to notice lag, which wen you run around with a low compression 2l motor isnt the best lol
  8. Does anyone have one of these for sale?? Pm me or email me at [email protected] Thanks all
  9. Yes it comes with the adaptor plate which bolts straight onto an rb20/25 afm. Took some pics for your piece of mind.

  14. Will fit into any 60mm cup/gauge holder
  15. Perth, but as i said ill send it registered or cod etc
  16. Hey peeps Have an apexi boost guage, dont need it as my elc boost controller displays boost! I only want $100 for it. Happy to send it registered or do cod. Lights up blue at night, 100% working condition it has no problems with it. Please pm me, leave a reply here or email me at [email protected] Thanks all Jaz
  17. Thinkin about that.. it may not be true because i never ran 20psi when it was internally gated... full boost was more around 15psi and made that abit earlier as you'd expect. Ah well im happy with the result for now, on the issue id also say cams are a better option than spendin money on gate etc if hp/driveability is ur main goal
  18. To be honest... external gate brought power on later (around 300-500rpm) but controlled it MUCH better. I have 20psi from about 4500rpm to 8000rpm. The increase was from having no restrictions in the exhaust, it went from a split 3' dump/front to a single 3' dump/front and the screamer comes off the ext wastegate, there is no mixing of the exhaust cause turbulance which is wat makes the exhaust wheel spin easier! Or so logic should go... lol
  19. I made 12rwhp from it... If only i kept the old fkn dyno sheet damn it!! I was so proud of my new one i didnt keep the rest lol
  20. Ext gate with a screamer pipe will make more hp... however otherwise there is no point in it. A good new elc boost controller will be able to regulate ur boost settings fine, if you cant a actuator with a stronger spring then the elc boost controller onto that will do the job. I found abit more lag with the external gate so i wouldn't go down that route unless you REALLY love the noise and want around 10-15 more rwhp at most
  21. List of engine mods Apexi air filter Z32 afm FMIC 3' dump to 3.5' cat-back GCG Hi-flow turbo GTR Injectors Bosch 040 pump Sard FPR Spitfire coils Turbo smart 38mm gate with screamer (14psi springs) Turbo smart E-boost2 I asked Glenn at hyperdrive for 300rwhp and after along run pissin around with things here's the result... happy boi, its really not as laggy as the dyno run makes it out to be!
  22. I know your going to get this question plus im interested to know what they look like so pics...? hehe
  23. Looking for an Apexi stand to suit a RSM (think its the same for the avcr/safc/vafc etc) Anyone got one of these?? Thanks Jaz
