  1. Btw there's the link for some info on the controller. http://www.turbosmart.com.au/index.php?id=42
  2. Apart from the billion other functions this boost controller has, id spend the money and will never buy another type. Wastegate pressure is around 14psi so the boost controller picks up the rest. Was worth the money thats for sure. Turbosmart E-Boost 2 FTW! Proof is below
  3. my 32 wit gtr injectors used to do it randomly! very rarely would it sit still on idle, used to jump between 650-750 or there abouts usually but i had a rom in it not power fc, never understood why it did that only sometimes
  4. Id say the price is very fair but thats why it hasn't sold yet... Id love to buy it but not doin the turbo just yet on the 34
  5. Ok well the next 'vs' thread i will only comment if ive had or have the car (such as the fact i own a 34 gt-t and have driven an xr6t). I think thats probably not a bad idea though, don't comment unless you've owned or driven atleast one of the cars in question! I think 'vs' threads are good if the owner wants some opinions before he/she goes to buy one of the cars in question though...
  6. Pretty obvious you've got the right idea!
  7. Suspension set up, weight distribution, tyres and awd system makes the gtr a much better handling car. Be good to get some skyline's with similar mods/driver ability out to test it all out against the xr6t's!
  8. I dont think anyone has ever questioned the motor in the ford... loads of torque and a huge turbo (GT35/40 isnt it??). I guess ive never been in a track set up xr6t where i have skylines and 200sx's etc and have been scared sh*tless by the handling abilites, my r32 handled better than my 34 and out-performed all the xr6t's (stock/lightly mod'd) but weighed less and had alot more suspenion work done to it than the xr6t's and my 34. Saying that i still believe my 34 is quiet abit infront of the xr6t in terms of handling. Btw coming from an rb20 wit a bigger turbo to rb25, off-boost seems good to me in the r33/34 hahaha i don't disagree that you can drive the 4l ford happily off boost though!
  9. I think most ppl feel the same way. A gtr kit is common but ok, end of the day it can look fairly nice. Gtr badges on a gts-t, even if its got an rb26 is just cr*p... Don't badge the car something its not?
  10. I am going from the stock examples i have been in... if they are modified i couldn't really comment suspenion wise! Everyone knows they go fkn hard in a straightline with small amounts of mods. Mate of mine has done a 12 second pass with only a tune and some small bits! Typhoon's seem to handle slightly better even though they are heavier? Although ive never sat in a Typhoon. Its simple logic that somethin that weighs more is goin to be harder to direct around corners than something that weighs less (ie why does the mx5 handle so well, balanced car that weighs fark all). Everyone knows suspension comes into play of course though and stock isn't very good on many car's ive been in.
  11. My old R32 used to do that abit, tuner said it had some blow-by but the compression etc in the motor was fine and not to really worry about it, the catch can never used to fill up though.
  12. A - My old 32 was set up with coilies/whiteline gear and with 300rwhp handed typhoons there ass on a plate. Around a track was even easier and guess what, ive actually gone around tracks before where its legal to do these 'high speed curves' etc on B - Go have a search around, the figures were sh*t and you know it? C - I now own an R34 Gt-t Im glad you think the xr6t handles amazing, for stock its OK but i have no idea how you can call it great. A stock r33/34 isn't amazing either but firm up the ride abit more and it changes the car alot. So you stick to your crappy R33 champ! Ill give you one thing your a great keyboard warrior thats fo sure
  13. The Typhoon is quoted at 1776kgs, the xr6t is 1684kgs, while the 34 GTR is 1540kgs and the gt-t only around 1410kgs. So not sure where you got your figures from.. a quick search on the net will proove them to be wrong. The video also prooves light mods on both car's improves the gt-t more than the tpyhoon and thats just due to weight, you can't expect a 4 door family sedan to go that well around a track with light mods! But nobody can deny the ford can be powered up for straightline duties very easily so for a cruiser/family car it does the job well
  14. Well you look at the similarities between the gtr suspension/chassis and gt-t and go figure... some of the parts are even interchangable... yet your saying the gt-t is based on a family car. You think that Nissan spent time setting up the family car chassis then gtr chassis 1 month later and they are completely different? Not goin to bother postin again gangsta, ur welcome to ur opinion
  15. The skyline chassis from R32-34 was based on the GTR, which is was built with racing in mind... so you may want to think again? Ive seen a comparison on the run the and the 34 GTR munched the Typhoon and the 300kw HSV. Put them on a track, 1/4 mile and on the brakes and its even more of a joke. Saying that the typhoon is still pretty damn quick once lightly mod'd in a straight line!
  16. Make a Z-tune cry?? 2.8L nismo engine... bahaha i don't think the 300rwkw ford motor would make the Z-tune cry in a straight line or god forbid a track dude. But you can't really compaire that! Ive seen the stock 34 vs stock 300kw HSV and the GTR creamed it in every single way, handling, brakes, dyno, 1/4 mile and freeway runs. Add an exhaust to both cars and it got even worse for the HSV! Anyway on topic... I think the video is pretty much spot on, although i disagree with the handling/brake comments, ive been in both stock and the xr6 turbo body rolls a fair bit and doesn't have that great of brakes, the skylines standard suspension is ok but brakes are pretty decent standard. If you want a car to modify then modify the sports car not the family car is the main point! Mention looks and its game over for the ford... lol
  17. Battery take youu stickers/wing off, get a grill for your bonnet and she'll be lookin smick. Nice starting point champ! And Roy i dont think many ppl care what their cars look like when they are in ur rear view mirror hahaha
  18. Well i have no proof that nissan coils wud of sustained 20psi + 300hp as i didnt use new nissan coils so yer??
  19. well duh, but they still ran standard turbo fine and as i said im sure new one's wud of been ok hehe
  20. I had blow outs on high boost with standard coils, spitfires allowed me to run whatever boost i wanted... but im sure new nissan coils would of been able to do it too?
  21. Center of rim to gaurd = 295mm, lowest point is about 30mm... its abit over the top really! hahaha Thanks for the comment
  22. I think Carbon was good fun on ps2... Graphics where fairly good and gameplay was enjoyable. Each car sounds fairly realistic, they all have their own handling/performance characteristics which are failry close to spot on! I finished the game with an Evo awhile back. Its amazing how some car's can't drift for sh*t but others are really controlable! Well the logic of drifting an awd Evo was always gonna be tough
  23. Ur car wasn't that clean wen i saw it Mark! Looks fkn awsome!! Here's a newer picture of the HIDs i took with my camera on my phone.
  24. Come'on peeps anyone interested??
