  7. Nah Jerry not yet. Buyer backed out. I suppose the reason why knock was lower, is that the car was tuned for 100 ron. I used shell extreme (i know of no other 100ron fuel?). I found that running the extreme, I could play with the timing a fair bit more before I started to hit near 30 knock for daily driving stuff. It was VERY noticeable on the track, however, in that knock levels did not rise above 30, wheras straight after on the same day with the same temperature, and boost levels, a full tank of optimax saw me hit 45 on the pfc hand controller. Coincidence? Maybe? Bad batch of fuel? Maybe? Try it out. 5% ethanol isnt going to kill your fuel lines. At least not in the short term
  8. Shonen, I think I covered 25k daily driving when I had my gtr. While its not a pain in the butt driving it on a daily basis, some roads are pretty unbearable. I blame the reasonably stiff factory vspec suspension. Other than the stiff ride, Ive had no gripes driving my gtr daily. The only thing I can say, is that once I had it modified (larger than stock turbos), I lost a fair bit of mid range power, which made it less practical for driving at normal city speeds. For a street car, I think both Nick, Paul, Kris and Jerry have done well in their turbo choice Oh and in relation to the topic, I had my car tuned for 100 RON fuel. I took it out to oran park and while I had extreme in the car, my knock levels did not exceed 30. The car had great power and smooth response. I then tanked up on optimax, and noticed an increase in knock spikes, up to around 40-45. Id suggest using extreme to be definitely worthwhile. The car should run smoother and knock should be reduced. You can always have a play around with timing on the pfc
  9. What year model? Ive seen some of the later 96-97 models sell for up to 700k fob Problem is, id like sunroof and leather. These options seem to be fairly rare? Which workshop is doing the compliance for you? Cheers

  11. I could go further to say, I had a 2.6 litre twin turbo with bigger aftermarket gear giving me 305awkw, and I was returning 12L/100km around town. Low comp, laggy, high boost setups are easy on fuel economy, unless you seriously put your foot down. Then watch the juice disappear in 200kms

  13. Push down on the front of the car, and see if it makes a noise. It could be anumber of things, for example, it could be the suspension, or it could be the front bushes (which usually go on skylines)
