I am assuming it is the EVC 5 (or EVC EZ?)you are talking about I can only speak from experience - I used to have the EVC 4 (which would be the jdm EVC 3 unit). Assuming they havent changed the design, it runs off a stepper motor which is more reliable and more responsive and doesnt spike as much as a solenoid based system would. In terms of installation, theyre fairly straight forward. I had one in my GTS-T 33, and I really had no problems with it. It held boost very well, never spiked. Easy to operate, etc

Okay I'll be there See you guys at the thornleigh maccas

APEXi AVCR Group buy (Version 2) - from $510 delivered.
Tommyk replied to performance-wise's topic in Group Buys
Stupid question - but can you get the SAFC-2 as part of this group buy ? -
Yeh that stuff was fairly expensive i just went for the better mineral oils rather than synthetics

I used castrol vmx80 for my gearbox. Fixed up my 4th and 5th notchy gearing problem. Cost - $29.95 4 litres (which was just enough) Also I used the castrol LSD oils for my front and rear diffs $ 32.95 for 4 litres with 1 litre spare I'm very happy with this particular service
-
What colour is the oil ? What does it smell like ? As far as I know, it can only be one of two things - the Diff oil, or 4ws hicas (power steer fluid)

Im gonna go and say about 300k

Sorry guys BACK ON TOPIC Im feeling waaaay better. Theres only 3 dents I can clearly see, so Ill call the dent remover guy and get that fixed. So, theres still some money left for SAFC. Should I do it ? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yeh Sorry guys, im just too scared to go outside and check. I know there was one dent on the bonnet, but im not sure if the paint has come off it. You spend 40k on something like this, become flat broke, and now something like this happens. I'll try those dent repair guys if it doesnt look too bad. Im so afraid I feel like someones just :kick: You work hard for 4 years and then this

Thanks Stacey That made me feel somewhat better

Im running 0.9 bar as opposed to stock
-
Hi guys Is there any point, or need to tune a stock GTR ? Im fairly sure the car is running rich. I can hear the exhaust popping occasionally (very quietly) when I let my foot off the throttle. Car is completely stock. The only thing ive done is remove the boost restrictor from one of the boost solenoid hoses. What would I need to do? Im considering buying a SAFC-2 perhaps? Do people think its viable to do this, or leave it as is ? Cheers

Saw a yellow 34 GTT without wing and plates ONLINE (i think) out at ingleburn. Nice ride Also saw a blue 32 GTR (or kitted GTS-T) turning onto the hume highway around bass hill i think Standard plates AA something. Very nice car Also spotted a riced up lancer who tried to race me :headspin:

Buying a R32 GTR in Sydney.....

Not really Most of the guys in japan keep their stock parts (in case) Stuff like turbo timers, boost controllers, aftermarket ECU's etc can be easily removed without inducing further costs. So it really isnt *THAT* hard to return the car to stock if they have the stock parts. This happens sometimes in japan, the owner will keep/sell the aftermarket parts rather than passing them off in the car. The new owner thinks they have purchased a fairly clean stock vehicle, only to find that it has had the shit modded out of it and is fairly thrashed But in my honest opinion, stock is best -
no question about it. go the AWD
