My Dad is starting a business and he needs the garage and seeing as I have lost interest I've decided it needs to go. Its a complete 1989 R32 GTR, it has been registered in the past so it can be registered again. It has approx 100 000 kms on the clock. Its in reasonable condition, it has a spot of surface rust above the rear window and a dint on the rhs rear quarter. It also needs the wing repainted. The engine is in need of a rebuild. The problem with the engine was the head (engine overheated) which was replaced with a brand new one. What I have done so far: I have cleaned the engine bay up rebuilt the front drive shafts new bearings in the front hubs blocked off the lines to the heater box and removed them as I planned not to use them. Rebuilt the steering rack with new seals Simplified the clutch lines (got rid of that junction block thing) and make a billet piece to replace the clutch booster rebuilt the clutch and brake master cylinders Ran a line to the boot for a boot mounted battery Rebuilt the gearbox with new synchros and bearings. Has a used but in excellent condition OS Giken gearset in it. What needs doing: Engine needs a rebuild. It comes with: new timing belt new radiator hoses new Fidanza Adjustable timing gears New Nissan headgasket Used Cometic (I think) headgasket Camshaft oil seals Camshafts ground to Tomei Pon Camshaft specs 256/256 9.15mm lift plus the standard cams New Eagle rods plus the standard ones Standard pistons various gaskets etc New Siemens 700cc injectors Other parts: Turbos are R34 N1 turbos in excellent condition. 4" stainless exhaust with 3" pipes from the dump pipes (needs fitting to the car as it has no hangers) used stainless exhaust manifolds PWR radiator along with the standard one Baffled and enlarged sump Quaife front diff Ohlins shocks, basic ones in need of a rebuild. Speedline 17" x 9" wheels New front and rear rotors Apexi Power FC Pro with the Apexi boost control kit New Z32 afms x2 I'm not looking at parting it out at this stage, I'm hoping to sell it to someone who wants to build a fast track car as there are some good bits here. Price: $15 000 Pics will be up tomorrow, I will update the details in case I have forgotten anything Im located in Quakers Hill, Sydney, NSW Mobile: 0405068912 email: [email protected] Josh Kemp

Anyone ever heard of an iris in the exhaust pipe of a car? It would do the same job as a butterfly in the exhaust. I have seen it before but I cant remember which car.

Marzocchi All Mountain Sl 2 Mountain Bike Forks

I'm selling some Marzocchi All Mountain SL 2 mountain bike forks. Freshly serviced and unused since then. Some of the internals have been replaced too. Steerer has been extended from 7 1/4" to 9 1/4". The extension is a interference fit in the steerer tube (the extension sits about 60mm into the steerer tube) and is also bolted in from the bottom so it is going nowhere. Its a bit of overkill but better to be safe than sorry. $400 Located in Quakers Hill Sydney, Will post ($20)

I am recoing my GTR gearbox, replacing all of the bearings while I am at it. Some of the bearings don't have part numbers. Where is the best place to get all of the part numbers for the bearings so I can go to an aftermarket bearing supplier with a list. Will FAST give me the actual bearing number as opposed to a catalog number? Cheers Josh

flat bottom all the way is what you want. Like it has been said before, put ducting in to allow air out under the car, even out via vents behind the wheels. You can also put ducting in to cool the gearbox, just make sure you allow the air to exit. A controlled airstream may be better than the standard airflow under a skyline to cool the gearbox and diffs. Look at undertrays from other cars (R34 GTR's and the new GTR, porsche etc) for inspiration and ideas. You can always check gearbox and diff temp by putting a engine temp sensor in the drain plugs then hooking up a gauge to it, be creative.

Bent Intake Manifold On R32 Gtr
dontfeelcold replied to dontfeelcold's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The 3 pics are of the manifold that bolts up to the head. -
I am doing a dummy assembly of my RB26 at the moment. As I was putting the intake manifold (just the section after the throttle bodies) onto the head, I noticed that the outer ports lined up with the head, but the 4 inner ports weren't. It appeared to have a bend in the intake manifold. It is parallel and flat where it has been machined and the dowels are in the head. If I can straighten the casting then all of the intake runners will line up nicely with the head ports. has anyone seen this before? Is there a fix for it?

Who To See About Getting A Diff Center Installed In Syd?

I was just about to recommend Bosnjaks Engineering. Although its number 15 Blackfriar Place. Ditto on the wait but the quality is more than worth it. -
What do you use to read the data once you have logged it?

whats wrong with the eagle rods?

Evacuation of steam pockets in a cylinder head is very important and is one step towards creating an efficient cooling system. So my question is, where on the RB26 heads is the best place to put fittings to evacuate steam from the head when the engine is hot?

I would be interested to know the specs between Mark Berry's GTR and the the BSM GTR. ie drivetrain, suspension and engine. Very close times and from what could be seen, different suspension and engine setups.

I am after the brake lines off an R32 GTR. In particular the 2 coming out of the master cylinder into the abs unit and the 3 coming out of the abs unit. I can come and remove them from a car if that suits you. PM me if you have some or know someone who has some. Thanks Josh
