  1. Lol Bi-Tron, yeah ive had some little guy around our office trying to sell a product that "aligns the molecules in the fuel to allow cleaner burn" hahahaha thanks for shooting out your credability some more. Also, you statement "Mobil has nothing to gain by causing engine failures, and when did i ever claim something so f**king ridiculous" Umm.. more to the point when did i say you ever did claim this? Bit touchy arent ya? So by saying "Oil companies aren't going to include an additive that extends oil life now are they??? People expect to change their oil regularly anyway, so engineering it into oil would mean nothing but huge loses for those companies involved. " You are suggesting that people should lengthen the periods between oil changes? Ill LMAO if people are stupid enough to trust your ADDITIVE to extended oil change periods.
  2. RiggaP http://www.ftc.gov Do a search for Motorup, Prolong, Duralube whatever they are. Steve Aside from your post being completely irrelevant to the point i was making i will none-the-less rephrase. My point was in trying to compare a LEGITIMATE oil company to a beauty product maker. Make sense?
  3. Half the companies on your little chart have been sued by the US FTC (FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION) for making ridiculous statements of their products after having proved they do nothing benificial overall, they are all mainly using PTFEs to enhance engine friction as well which we all know SHOULDNT be used in engines due to its instability at high temps. (Forms iinto a plastic and releases corrosive gasses) Oil companies them selves (as well as all vehicle manafacturers) urge people not to use additives, what does Mobil have to gain by having an engine component fail? Nothing. Also explain to me why the engineers at Mobil that design the ONE OF THE worlds best engine lubricants have got it wrong? And also why they would engineer an oil to increase component failure rates in engines? Please also compare the engineering knowledge of a massive organisations (Mobil, Shell) lubricant development teams compared to that of a company that normally makes hand care and beauty products and decides now their natural business evolution is into engine lubricants???? HUH?!?! Everything comes at a cost, if there was some brilliant metal conditioning and friction reducing property that could be applied with no negative effects I believe oil companies would include it in their oils. To all the people who have been testing this stuff, lets hope I'm wrong and this additive can do magical stuff with no negative aspects. Logic is not on your side.
  4. It most certainly does explain what the turbo is doing, your firing the charge heaps later than normal which results in half your combustion taking place on the way out of the chamber and giving your turbs a nice big shunt as it goes through your exhaust. Also explains your ultra hot turbine, manifold etc.
  5. Gang related? MR2? hahah what kinda gang is that Fairy princess gang by the sounds of it. If hes going to threaten you over this then dont give the guy shit all, its his problem. If he cant negotiate without having to threaten you then he's an ****ing idiot and should recieve nothing. NO OFFENSE TO MR2 DRIVERS OF COURSE!!!
  6. Perhaps they mean it runs for 8 seconds at a time?
  7. Boost comes on early and exhaust temps rise when your ignition timing is mega retarded
  8. Same thing happens to me. Doesnt matter, might make your AFMs read odd but thats about it. There isnt enough water to cause any damage.
  9. I am looking for feedback from people about what clutch they run, what power they put through it, the price they paid and how they like it. Im currently running Exedy 3 puck ceramic, with 290rwkw, i paid 700 when i bought it about 1 year ago and its a pain in the ass to drive on the street but had good bite Im looking at a Exedy Sports Tuff Organic this time round...
  10. I find it pretty hard to believe this is caused by a boost controller I was asking about your exhaust to get a gauge of what manifod / turbine housing you were using. Also with your ECU how much timing are you giving it throughout the maps? Is it pinging? A car isnt gonna make any power with 5 billion pound boost but **** all timing. Need more details.
  11. Im making 290rwkw with the stocky. Dont really think its too restrictive. Money might be better spent elsewhere...
  12. The PowerFC doesnt gauge timing at all. Its telling you what your timing SHOULD be, not what it is. And most timing lights will work ok they just end up being double what it really is. Ie. 30 degs is actually 15.
  13. ETC - Function Select - 0/2 F/B Control and some kenji(?) jap characters for on and off
  14. Unrelated id say. Shitty idle most likely due to 0/2 Feedback still being on, makes idle pretty crap turn that off and idle will be great. JimX - Try altering your cranking inj times. I increased most temps in mine by about 5-10 ms and it cleaned up starting.
  15. I reckon it means that it can set boost based on actual pressure rather than duty cycles / gain etc.
  16. Cost around 400 bucks minimum to put a proper HPC hypercoat extreme on the exhaust housing. They sell the covers for 220... still sure it will cost the same?
  17. LOL this is turning into an OCAU thread haha I was being a bit general i should have said it could have been an EEPROM, as far as i know there is no limit with regards to the amount of times you can re-prog. Same as FLASH ROMs. Either way its NVRAM or EEPROM.
  18. SRAM loses contents with no current. NVRAM is what your talking about i reckon. Or some form of EPROM.
  19. man trust me its there its what u use to set timing on r33s is it actually a 33 loom?
  20. There is a loop of pink? cable near the ignition amplifier module at the back of the valley cover on the right hand side that has an ignition pulse. You could tap into that. Its generally taped up but you can see a little bit poking out the side of the loom.
  21. I think the answer was brought out when VSPEC said that other cars at his dyno are pulling 350horses with standard injectors. I think once again people are throwing blind faith at dynos being accurate. Not trying to detract from your car in anyway dude but its seriously baffling, but i think you'll find if more than 1 car with standard injectors are making magic pixie land kinda power on the same dyno then the dyno is not on par with other dynos. my 2 cents sorry again if i seem to be raining on your results man.
  22. Here we go with another "Arguing on the internet is like..." pic
  23. Sounds like a plan kiddo, will you pay for the flights or come and pick me up?
  24. LOL if you were gonna have a go at people who talk about stuff they never even touched you'd run out of breath dude. 90% of the stuff in forums is people replaying other peoples "knowledge" and is wrong half the time anyway, why let it get to ya? If your happy with TD06 then who gives a **** what someone else says about it? After doing work on my car and posting results i got called a lier by the resident "turbo experts" despite having actually done it when in fact they hadnt *shock horror* /my 2 cents Its my impression that the TD06 is perfectly good turbo if you are willing to put up with slightly slower spool. Rebuild costs on a TD06 would probably be a lot cheaper than GTs considering you cant service the GT cores.
