It's been a few pages now and no mention of a falcon, have they gone out of fashion?
-
That is terrible news and sorry to hear, makes me think about mine and wondering what security measures you took with securing this trailer and if mne are enough. Would you mind sharing what you had done?
-
Maybe a woman designed it as they are always telling you where to go and how to drive so much they just thought it would be good design to have easier access to control the gears and music.
-
The regs for the qld time attack series seem pretty good, maybe use those?
-
Looks like we know where hankook have thrown there sponsership behind now after being excluded from WTA
-
I was thinking of entering too, will be a rush to get ready but super keen. We're is the best place to stay @?

Is anyone planning on entering the Victorian time attack event over Easter at Winton or the NSW ones at the middle of the year. They have speedweek covering it as well as apparently some large sponsors, regs seem pretty good.

That surprising, he had been in it since the start. Was it expense that was the cause or something else?
-
someone needs to start up another time attack day the weekend after WTA at Wakefield park for all those people coming from overseas and interstate.

Yeah the section is quiet large and would assist in narrowing down fields of inquiry and reference. You could even get tricky and call it a fluid thread and chuck in oils and all types of fluids. -

Still think it would be a good idea to put all these threads into one section -
No worries, good to see you are going the full pro flex option.

Just coming from experience that you try to keep the motor power levels at a reasonable level and if you can, you might even initially keep the motor stock. Once you start to start pulling them apart you start to have more issues. A 250rwkw light weight silvia with fantastic suspension and chassis set up will be a lot quicker then most think and you will be able to keep going around and around all day everyday and also pass most other cars on the track. Even more important considering the distance you have to travel as no doubt you will try and get a couple of days in at a time, you can do local hill climb events etc if you have them though.

I would change the wheels to something lighter. In my experience You don't need big brakes unless you are racing and time attack is all about short one or two lap dashes. Some good quality pads and rotors and upgraded to something like brembos is more then enough and spend money elsewhere like on an extra set of soft tyres. If its a pro car then talk to murry about going his proflex set up rather then the reds, motor wise I would actualy keep everything relatively mild and spend some coin on getting down to qld raceway as you could spend thousands on stuff that could see you go backwards without testing it on the track. Seat time is invaluable,

Might be worth investigating what another one is worth, if they are cheap then add in the power and see how it goes. If they are a fortune a cooler might be a good option, also have a chat with some of the 4wd shops for what they are doing with them.

I was a bit worries too and always used castrol but it has converted me, award will tell you the same (or they did to me).

Mark, I have a box here if you wanted to have a look at it. I wasn't real impressed with friction modifiers in the box and changed to redline and was quiet impressed. Can get it cheap from gllubricants. Not sure if you could look at modifying the baffles and making them smaller without stopping too much flow back but could be worth a look.

So reading this you have already done these mods? If thats the case i would change the fluids and add in something to keep an eye on temps and oil pressure if you can then go your hardest, heat in WA can be tough on car so monitor it and you can always take an extra cool down lap if it is a problem and add further mods as you go along.

Might be best to add on another cooler if it starts to become an issue, I have been thinking of putting one on the falcon just for piece of mind
