  2. My engine is in pieces and has been for almost 3 years. If there was an engine to look at then obviously I would have looked.... And yes i have googled many times. If you google rb25det and rb25det fuel rail have a look at the thousands of pictures of cars WITH FORWARD FACING INTAKES or cars with std rails or simply the rail by itself. The images don't help me at all - hence the post. No need for smart ass remarks, was a genuine question Ill give it a scuff and coat of paint tonight, cheers
  3. Quick question, I've just got new injectors and fuel rail - the rail is red because it was cheaper and in stock, can someone tell me how visible the fuel rail is under the std inlet plenum? Just trying to figure out if its worth me painting or not. Everything else in the engine bay is black (even intercooler pipes and joiners) so I don't want a easily visible red pipe sitting in the middle of my engine. Cheers
  4. Why does your int gate ss2 seem to hold boost fine but blah_blah mentioned his int gate ss2 dropping off a few psi?

  7. Just EOI at the moment, I have a gcg rb25det highflow turbo for sale. It was on the car when I bought it, so exact specs are unknown but it has braided line and ball bearing core. Made 190rwkw on a tired rb20, minimal shaft play. Gcg highflows are $1500 with a swap of your turbo. $650 Ono

  10. That's the plan, hence the reason for not wanting a lag monster. It'll be a pig off boost.
  11. Ok I think the ss2 has won me over. Ideally I'd like the ext gate with gate welded onto std manifold, but there's a ss2 internal gate for sale which would be ok I guess too. Hopefully cams and e85 bring the boost on early, I've got 8:1 compression forgies
  12. Do you have std cams? Is that the internal ss2 or external ss2? I read that hyper gear got some decent gains in hp from going from int gate to ext gate on stock manifold
  13. I want to keep it low mount (street car & want to keep things looking as stealthy as possible) does this mean the 5858 is to big to have low mounted?
  14. Thanks for your replies, Does anyone know how much laggier the journal bearing version of the 5858 is? ($800~ price difference) I'm thinking of either getting a steam pipe manifold made up, and going the 5858 or using the std manifold, welding an external gate to it and using the 'bolt on' ss2. Car is street only, and cost is a factor so I think I'm leaning towards the latter option. Will the std exhaust manifold flow enough for 300awkw? (336rwkw before 12% lost through front diff)
  15. Would like some opinions from people that have had one of these turbos on an rb25det. When did you reach full boost? How much power did you make? What was it like to drive? I have a r32 gts4 with fresh forged rb25det with poncams and e85 & all supporting mods. Would like 300/330awkw with full boost BEFORE 4000rpm. Can't decide between these two turbos Thanks
  16. These are retailing for $720USD at the moment from Injector Dynamics. Which is $820.80AUD (1USD= $1.14AUD) Will drop to $620 AUD buyer pays post.   17. I've done a few hours of research but seem to have come up with mixed replies.. Will 18 x 9.5 + 20 18 x 9.5 +35 fit in a r32 gts4? Is it possible with guard rolling, tyre stretching, and some camber? Or will I need flailed guards? Cheers
