Thanks heaps for your help mate, yeah I still have a/c, I've just bought new injectors and rail to suit now so ill sell these ID's. If anyone wants them $720 (retailing for $820AUD + shipping at the moment, and they are still in packaging unopened) Cheers Josh

Yeah, but I'm keen on retaining all the factory idle control, have had cold start issues with a previous car before and not keen to do that again. I've bought xspurts and a new rail off scotty so hopefully it's smooth sailing from here (never is) Josh

I looked it up on the ID website, it's hard to explain. It's basically the length of the injector minus the top 'top feed' section
-
Scotty now has a pm The difference between the injectors I need and the injectors I have is 13mm, not sure if the manifold can be spaced this much without causing further problems. Ill ring jaustec tomorrow, I've read heaps of good things about ID1000's, shame I can't use them.
-
My friend has some sort of link with ID and he bought then for me. He asked 11 or 14mm I said 11, which is correct. Jaustec have a new rail for me to suit the top feed, but it won't work because their too long. ID have said because I bought them 6 months ago I can't change them. Which is bullsht

I have top feed id1000's and lots of connectors / clips. On the side of the box it says 'application r32 r33 r34 & rb26' Apparently there are two lengths (which there is no option for when buying) 47mm and 60mm.

Hi, I bought brand new id1000's to suit my s1 stagea rb25det and according to jaustec their too 'long?' I thought they only came in 11mm and 14mm thicknesses, I didn't know there was a length? Does anyone know if there is any way these can still be used? Different intake manifold? Any help would be really appreciated

R32 Gts4 - Restoration/rebuild
s213b replied to Chris Rogers's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Build looks amazing, can't wait to see this finished. I haven't read every page so I'm sorry if its already been asked, but what are your plans for the car once finished? Are you doing a basic full resto or are you adding performance bits along the way? -
Yep. I've been contacting him, absolute pleasure to deal with. Have not heard one bad thing about his products in multiple threads on a hand full of sites.

Injector Related Questions + External Gate
s213b replied to Streetglow's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Is there ever a gate-too-big situation? I'm planning a gtx3076 on 20-24psi rb25det. Would a 38/40mm gate be to small? Not really sure how gate sizing goes with a mid framed turbo on med/high boost... -
Injector Related Questions + External Gate
s213b replied to Streetglow's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That doesn't really answer the question? I remember reading something like: Big turbo low boost - big gate Big turbo big boost - med/ big gate Small turbo low boost - small gate Small turbo big boost - small/med gate Because the bigger the turbo the more flow, the lower the boost the longer the gate is open etc. I could be wrong this is just my understanding, anyone elaborate? -
To be honest I think it's pointless if a smaller company/ individual (eg rex, or brae or sinco or whatever) make manifolds around the 6boost price range ($1000 + ) Having said that I have no idea how much any one of those manifolds will cost me.. Does anyone know how much a brae manifold will cost / where to buy them?
-
^ thanksThe saying 'you get what you pay for' rings true with everything to do with cars... No surprises, but for $350-$400 seems good. Having said that I've just seen the Rex kelway thread in NS, now to enquire about the cost
-
I've searched, but not found. About a year and a half ago I remember a bloke on here (from nz rings a bell?) was asking for help on making some steam pipe manifolds for sr's & rb's. he made a few and sold them here priced at about $400 from memory... Can anyone link me? Cheers

Haha with chrome tail lights and chrome vault 17's...? Op, they will never make it illigal to sell mods, people will usually mod a car before they register it with CAMs etc. you can't relate it to gun / drug laws because their directly related to safety. A blow off valve is not.
-
If your so worried about what's legal & what's not, excessive revs, speed, noise, loss of traction are all illigal, so why not buy a Honda instead?
