  1. My mistake, $119, not $109. So $720 a set. I meant are there any other 1000's people are running e85 on that are decent & under $600 for a set. Just curious. I've seen rc1000's for $550 but their not e85 safe
  2. Those injectors look alright, but I'm on the hunt for some 1000cc's @ $100 each or less. Found ID1000's come close @ about $109 each... As for the fuel pump yeah I'll make sure it's e85 safe. What do I need to do with my fuel lines? E85 will eat my stock lines right? Do I need to go bigger diameter too? So why do so many people have after market fpr's? Will it be easier for tuning with a fpr?
  3. Thanks for your reply, Xspurts- I've never heard of them, any good? Good spray pattern etc? 100% E85 safe? I almost bought 1000cc rc injectors, only to find out they have to be 'flushed every few tanks with normal fuel'... So no dice. I didn't know 044's could be intank mounted? I still think I'll go walbro 400lph because it comes with a mounting kit for an r32 + only $170 inc shipping. As for fuel rail I'm going to go eBay spec one that comes with my proboost ffp. Hope it's e85 safe.... Ha
  4. Been on the search all day looking into which pump/injectors/fpr (if any?!) would be best for my setup & budget, I've gotten some info, but still need more. After 300awkw & e85 out of my rb25 (in r32 gts4) Injectors- looking at ID1000's / a big injector suitable for e85? Pump- walbro intank 400lph Fpr- still stuck regarding sizes/turbosmart/SARD? I know I'm after rising rate, but are there many benefits vs brands? & what's the difference between turbosmart frp800 & the fpr3000? Are all fpr's suitable for ethanol? Cheers
  5. Just got my email back: Question was regarding vct on 25's. "Unfortunately not. The intake cam gear is a 4-bolt design that only works with the rb20 and rb26. There is not currently an aftermarket adjustable cam gear for the rb25 that allows you to retain NVCS. -Sean K" I know for a fact that there are greddy cam gears to suit rb25's but last price I saw was just shy of $400.....
  6. Tomei poncams 256 w/ 8.5 lift to suit rb25 (various series) also potentially available too? Inlet & exhaust should be able to get landed for under $600.... (depending on series) Do I need to do a seperate group buy to gauge interest? Josh
  7. Ok, have been looking at cam gears from various suppliers with various brands. *as far as I'm aware it's all fine with vct. Found that Tomei seemed the cheapest, but the RRP of $350+ for a pair of intake & exhaust seemed over the top. I need a minimum of 10 pairs. (intake AND exhaust) rrp = $350+ (excluding shipping) Group buy price =$250 (including shipping) Going untill the start of September (3 months) or untill I get enough participants. 1. Me 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. This is my first attempt at a group buy, constructive criticism welcomed. Cheers all, Josh
  8. What do you mean just intake gears? I've seen china intake + exhaust cam gears?
  9. http://rawbrokerage.com/Tomei-RB-Adjustable-Cam-Gear-tom-rbcamgear.htm;jsessionid=1754F6158C2CCAF2C7474838600DC00D.qscstrfrnt05 ^ tomei cam gears $119 each if anyone's interested. I'll email RB tomorrow & see what they can do with postage. But if there's no/ minimal difference to china cam gears I may aswell go china for $40 each? Cheers
  10. Yeah I've sussed eBay, genuine tomei = $110 (raw brokerage.com) each. Copy = $85 for both. Both have warrunty etc... I've bought a few alloy radiators, intercoolers, oil coolers etc off eBay & couldn't be happier, just reluctant to get something as crucial as cam gears.... Last thing I want is to f.uck my fresh motor for the sake of $100
  11. Anyone got the cheap hks/ tomei copy cam gears off eBay? / horror stories? Cheers
  12. Never said14psi. If im struggeling for the numbers im after ill go higher but not going to 20psi. But for the sake of it, take boost out of the equation. It's irrelevant I guess anyway. Yes I have checked the rb25 upgrade thread, but I'm after info more specific. My iphone won't show the dyno sheets + saw pages & pages of stock turbo, stock ecu, stock inj etc which I'm not interested in. - is the tomei poncam 256 with 8.5mm lift a good choice for easy drop in mid range power? Or should I go more aggressive? Thanks all
  13. Realistically this is impossible. 400hp calls for fmic, 3" exhaust, pod, etc which (depending what state your in) are not 'street legal' in the eyes of the po-po. You have a lot to read, an engine conversion is a difficult & expensive process (I'm 3/4 way through an awd rb25 install into my r32 gts4) & even if you have the knowledge, time & money it can still very quickly become a head ache. Clutch- worry about that after you've decided which path your going down. I wouldn't bother engineering. Keep everything in the engine bay low, black and quiet, and don't drive like a wanker and you'll be sweet If i was you, & your rb20 is still running, I'd do this; Keep rb20 & box. (if my rb20 was still running I would have done this) - td06 20g turbo -gtr injectors & pump -z32 afm & nistune ecu + good ebc - e85 fuel (depending on availability?) As well as your run of the mill mods like fmic, pod, 3" exhaust, 16-18psi etc. this should set you up for 220-240rwkw which is pretty much the limit for a 20+ yr old unopened rb20. If your dead set on a 25, I'd find a rb25neo (r34) engine & box package &: Gt3071 / gt3076 turbo on 15-18psi 1000cc injectors, walbro 400lph intank pump & e85 Nistune/pfc/haltec - whatever your tuner prefers Yellow jacket coilpacks Tomei 256 cams & cam gears Z32 afm, fmic, pod, 3" exhaust etc That's what I'm doing with my rb25 in my 32 & will hopefully see me on 300awkw (400hp). Have a look at my thread in forced induction & have a read. - remember anything with cars, take idea in your head, double the time & double the money & you have your realistic answer.
  14. I stand corrected! Wondered what was the go with the *1.., Blitz so what injectors + fuel pump is your mate running?? Im after the walbro intank 400lph (walbros biggest) and 1000cc injectors.... Overkill for my setup? That's going to be pretty much my exact setup. 344 @ 22 surely I'd be atleast near 300 on 15/16 with a fresh buit motor + port clean up etc?
  15. As title says, I've disconnected the belt from the boot, but can't get it through the framing to replace a rear upper/lower door card... Does the rear seat need to come out? Cheers
  16. "NIStune Type 2 Board M30 Infiniti (VG30E) ECR32 Skyline (RB25DE) ECR33 Skyline (RB25DET)*1 HCR32 Skyline (RB20DET) BNR32 Skyline (RB26DETT)*2*3 Q45 Infiniti (VH45DE)*4 U12 Bluebird (KA24E) Y60 Patrol (TB42E) Z32 Fairlady 300ZX (VG30DETT)" ?
  17. I have a mines chipped stagea ecu & a r33 s2 ecu that can be nistuned. So you reckon link/vipec are better than the haltec sprint 500? I'm not really keen on buying another ecu seeing as I have the r32 one, a mines stagea one, an r33 one & the haltec haha. As for manifolds I'm going eBay forward facing ($200) with billet fuel rail & getting my stock exhaust manifold ported for free off a mate. Will one 040 do my fuel needs of 300awkw on e85? I'm keen on an intank pump, any reccomendations? 2 040's? Cheers
  18. my computer doesnt like that link for some reason... and i didnt see many running cams + e85 also: can someone run me over impedence (am i after high or low?) + 11mm or 14mm before i buy injectors? ill probably go down the rochester path cheers
  19. cheers for all the replies, didnt think id get this many faark thanks PS im from a rotor back ground (hence sick of smelling fuel) so some rb common knowledge might be lacking so 3076 seems the turbo of choice? and 300awkw hard to reach on 15psi even with fresh motor, + haltec + cams + e85? if your wondering why 300, because thats about the limit of my budget + pretty much the limit of reliable streetable driving IMO / unforged rb25 limit (yes?) decided on 15psi (/1bar) because thats all i want to run, not really keen on 20psi and getting mad numbers, and another motor in 6 months time. topic probs should have read "after the most power i can get reliably on 15psi" but im after 300awkw'... if its possible with these bits? with the e85- ahk, so 1000ccs and ill have no fear of leaning out on dyno..? what brand should i go with? i have an 040 in the shed, i know its way to small, but does anyone know the specs? i want an intank pump because im not a fan of external setups/surge tanks/ petrol smelling cabin . obvious way to go would be twin 044's with 040 as lift pump but i dont want that much shit in my boot..... and dont really see the point in getting splitfires (pretty much double the price of yellows) if yellow jackets will handle the power and not break up? anyone know much on the haltec sprint series? better than nistune im assuming? Their going to cost me about the same price, so im guessing haltec would be the way to go? i think ill get the stock afm + fake z32 tested and go from there - might use the stocky for the run in, then grab a genuine z32 when we tune for bigger numbers. at the moment im thinking; -3076 @ 15/16psi -biggest walbro intank pump e85 & 800/1000cc injectors? -yellow jackets with hks twin spark if i can find one -haltec sprint 500 ecu -proboost intake manifold (90mm tb?) -ported stock exhaust manifold - (is external gate a must??) = 300awkw? thanks again
  20. what sort of condition is the 25/40 in? im in burnside. PM send
  21. hi, ive got a 89 r32 gts4 and have a freshly built rb25 from a stagea almost ready to slip in. im after 300kw @ all 4 on a safe tune on 15psi. car has; pod + full 3" straight pipe ACL race bearings + porting intake/exhaust tomei 256 cams + cam gears (yet to buy) apexi AVCR will be set at 15psi big oil cooler, big alloy radiator, big greedy intercooler (with waterspray on hobswitch set @ 12 psi) nismo 555cc injectors with walbro intank pump (yet to buy) yellow jacket coil packs (yet to buy) *tuned for e85 depending on ecu? my questions are; 1) turbo? Currently has rb25 neo highflow turbo (unsure of specs) but am wondering what turbo to go, was thinking 3071? thoughts? 2) Nistune or Haltec Sprint 500? Im keen on tuning on e85, is this possible with the Nistune? 3) i have the stock stagea afm and a fake z32 which was sold to me off ebay which im stoked about. Which one would you use? cheers, josh
  22. Do you have both door trims? What about the rear quarter window surround? Pm me? Cheers josh
