  1. I'm under no illusion that it won't be a costly beast to keep running, but nothing else in the market with the same towing capacity appealed. I think the Japs do reliability the best, unfortunately they don't do style and interior finish at a level that I was happy with. If I'm going to drive a land barge instead of a sports car then I want it to be a killer place to be, and the Q7 is that. Pity it will be killer on the wallet too... How's your going Fatz?
  2. That's exactly what it is at the moment Ray. It's quite a young form of motorsport, and as Drifting once was, is not that organised. Props to the guys over here to get such a World Class event going in such a short amount of time. This isn't a massive company with endless means and time, and they are still learning. Let's not forget that From what I've seen they've done a fabulous job thus far, and I'm sure they will fine tune the rules and setup to suit the newfound global position it now has. As for the image above of Nemo, I also thing that must be a very early image. Last photo I saw it didn't have B-Pillars at all. Well done to all who competed, looked like a great event and one that I'm sorry I missed. Looking forward to next year!
  3. Might have to try it with the missus' Clio
  4. Ridiculously quick. Cars losing their wings is a bit of a concern... hopefully no more of that for the next 2 days!
  5. Used once or twice - as per new. Manufactured 2008 - valid until 2018 DA401E Professional 6E 6 point harness with a quick release turn buckle and integral “T” type thigh strap. 3” shoulder straps and lap belts whith new ultra-light steel adjuster. Snap-hook fitting. Hans friendly Homologated FIA 8853-98 $320
  6. They are cool! A friend has a 'cruiser and averages about 25l/100km towing his Radical, though it is an enclosed trailer so the aero would be rubbish.
  7. You guys should just get lighter cars Trailer is 420kg's and the car is around 550kg's wet. I was previously towing it with my AU Falcon, which does it with ease. Have also towed it with a 2010 Jeep Cherokee, and obviously it's no sweat. As I now require more space for spares I've just picked up a Q7 4.2 FSI with air suspension and a 3500kg towing capacity. The space in the back for parts is ridiculous, and should do the job very nicely indeed.
  8. Mate, the car looks like the SUPER PIMP! Good luck this weekend Nice writeup too Kory.
  9. I was particularly impressed with that part of the vid mate. Nice cajones
  10. Good price for a decent car obviously! Sorry Benny, but now surely the brain is ticking over and the wheels have been put in motion...
  11. Aussie Racing is awesome. Very cool little cars, and seeing them 4 wide around most corners is too good. I was racing against one at PI yesterday in the WRX, quick through the corners.
  12. That's true Snowy. Tracks where the GT40's excel, the GT-R's are slow, and vice versa. There are usually a few cars that are battling for any one position though and they always keep me captivated for the entire race, which is more than I can say for a lot of motorsport. You make a very valid point though; For sheer closeness of racing and excitement it's tough to go past the V8's.
  13. Agreed. V8's provide some great racing. I still find a lot of the sprints a bit boring, but I tune in to the Enduro end of the season and Bathurst always makes for great watching. Much the same as Troy I don't really have anyone that I get behind, which is probably what stops me watching the whole season and getting excited about it, but in terms of world touring cars they're definitely up there for excitement. Much more interesting than DTM coverage. Until they bring the GT1 world championship to town I'll keep watching! Now that series provides some great racing in combination with gorgeous cars which are different enough to keep you interested.
  14. Too cool. I want that 205 T16 so badly... or maybe the RS200...or perhaps the Integrale... oh dear
  15. Sard 800cc top feed injectors model 63566 x 4 Used for a total of 2 hours. Car is being stripped and sold, no need for these anymore. Grab yourself a bargain for some as new injectors. Brand : Sard Flow rate : 800cc Impedance : Low Lag time : 1.10msec Type: Top-feed Includes collars. Can ship interstate free of charge. Price: $450
  16. Definitely does That's my best mate in the Boxster (or his dad, can't recall which was in the car at the time). I sent him this video last week and he said it wasn't nearly as close from the camera in his car. Great video though, certainly made me jump when I first saw it! It would scare the pants off me if I were in the MX-5, but Barton is a top driver and personally I think hesitation causes accidents a lot of the time.
  17. I had the car rewired with a Painless kit, which you can find out more info on here: http://project180sx.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2008-11-11T13:00:00%2B11:00&max-results=3 The result was perfect, though time consuming.
  18. I agree with Dave - probably unnecessary. But if you have no choice then here is what i did with my 180SX:
  19. Didn't notice that Stu. The Radical has them under the splitter, and a few other strategic points too.
