    Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has had anything to do with Stoptech brakes? So fat I've heard nothing but good things about them, but wanted to know if anyone has had any first hand experience, in particular with the ST40 calipers? I'm tossing up a lot of options at the moment, including Evo Brembo's, Stoptechs, F40's, 324mm conversion... or just going with what I have and seeing how I go. Cheers Dane

    Most definately, they look like an awesome car to drive. Pity I would never have a hope of fitting in one... oh, and pity about the cost Though having said that I'm pretty sure you could do a HP setup for the cost of a lot of GT-R's getting round, if you were to base it on an elise, put a hard top on it and then do the usual upgrades along with the engine conversion. *checks bank balance* Dang...

    I didn't say the GM boys were any better did I? I have a GM and a Nissan, so I'll argue with both sides until the cows come home... or people learn to appreciate a good car no matter what badge it has on it.

    Real shame as I was planning on running the 180 on this. I never ran it on Racing previsouly due to a lack of servos with the fuel, so I couldn't guarantee I'd always be able to get it... oh well

    I agree with you. It was easy for me to put my old RX7 up for sale (it got stolen before it was sold), but letting go of the 180 after 5 years would be a lot more difficult. When you build it you appreciate exactly how much work has gone into it.

    Haha sorry Stuart, but it was pure luck mate! I looked on ebay in the US and got one for $120US or something ridiculous. Was a pain to get here, had to ship it on a container and it took 3 months but it was worth it

    Hey mate, there is a mob who will hire to under 25's. Do a search for Nurburgring in here and you'll see a thread with a guy mentioning how he was able to hire a car. Chuck him a PM. He gave me all the details, but I don't have them anymore.

    Yeah, by the time I sold my defi's the Stack only cost me about $550 extra, and if I had of never bought them new then the difference would have been negligible. Pity the lap timer is $1400... but I got one for $150 Why did you choose to go the MXL route Russ? The datalogging? I was just about to buy one but I liked the analogue tacho of the stack, as well as the simplicity of it's harness.

    Ahhhh, to be so carefree! I'm hoping the mortgage allows me to race GT3 RSR's around the burger ring later in life... but probably not! Ahhh, we can always dream *makes racing car noises*
