  1. Same thing I've heard about Stoptechs, in the rare cases I've seen that people haven't been happy with them. Perhaps a set up issue? Loose wheel bearing? Who knows, but hopefully I don't have the same issue!
  2. Looking great Stuart! This thing will be an absolute blast to drive, no doubt. What made you go for the Harrop short shifter instead of the Ripshift?
  3. Banned at the weigh bridge? Why's that?
  4. I've not heard a bad thing about them thus far, so I'm glad I went this way. I've heard really good things about the Stoptechs too, but I like the local support of the Bmax/CSC's and supporting an Aussie brand. And if they're good enough to pull JFK's car up, then I'm sure it'll be heaps for mine What didn't Matt like about his?
  5. Just thought I'd give an update. I ended up going with my first choice of brakes, which was CSC. I'd always said that was the setup I was going to go with once I decided to upgrade, and thanks to a lot of help from Stuart at Benson Motorsport (t01-100 on here) I picked these up last night. So now the brake setup is CSC 4 pots with 343mm discs, 33 GT-R rear brembo calipers, and a BM44 Master Cylinder with the ABS blanked out, set up for use with no booster. Should be plenty for my lil' old 180SX
  6. Apparently they are the same mate, from what I've been told.
  7. I'd love to do this...
  8. Sure was Bris, you had the opening sequences!
  9. Hey guys, has anyone ever had experience with getting custom hats made up, as well as custom dog bones? Does anyone know of anywhere that does this in Melbourne? Just spoke with Race Brakes and they can do it, but it's very costly. Cheers Dane
  10. Hey mate, just download the supp regs, it's all in there
  11. I'll have to get the number of your specialist
  12. Whatever helps you sleep at night! Happy birthday old gal
  13. Yeah, not impressed about the dollar! The guy I was ordering through has not responded for a week... which has cost me another few hundred. Not happy Jan. The price landed was $2050 US for the 332mm kit. The 355mm kit was $2700 US landed. I'm just considering a few options at the moment, but I think I'm just going to get the stoptechs through another supplier. I'm also in some talks with another guy about piecing together a custom 4 pot Brembo monoblock kit, so we'll see what works out as the better kit.
  14. Very small work indeed! I'm also the guy who came ot look at the tyres if you remember... Glad to hear the engine is still going strong. I probably should have kept it, then I'd be racing right now! That was a great engine, never gave me any grief. Hopefully we can go for a run out there together soon Dane
  15. Hey Ross, still stripping out the loom mate, haven't had much time to work on it of late. We should have it out this week, and then we can start work on getting the new loom in place. I'll keep you posted mate
  16. This is a beautiful car people, I'm a big fan! Good luck with the sale Nathan, shouldn't be too hard to move
  17. Hey Richard, I run from 28-30 psi cold from memory (it's been a while) on my 180SX, and that seemed to give the best results.
  18. I'd be really keen to see this Ben as I'm removing my booster too
  19. That's tops mate, I really like it. Looks like a top notch build
  20. Oh, and what car are they on, an S14 or Z? and what rear calipers are you running? Thanks!
