  4. hey man, when i bought my r32 gtr it was really obvious that one of the cylinders was down, they were all at 150psi except for 1 that was at 90psi...when we pulled the engine down that one cylinder was F*&^%%ked but the others were fine? Cheers, Frank

  6. yeah i am running 750 denso injectors. I have now done just over the 2000kms & had did the dyno/run in after about 950kms. i changed to the penrite 5w50syth last sat. I would have to say that it is still a little rougher than it was, but getting smoother every day
  7. Im after some second hand tyres if anyone has them for my 32 GTR. Prfferably with above 60%tred & good brands. 245/45/17 or 245/40/17 or 255/40/17
  8. could be the run in oil as well, i think mineral oil is harsher on the internals at high temp, but thats what it needs to bed the engine etc. sweet build!! i have just done the exact same rebuild!! i found that during the run in it also was abit down, but i got it tuned on the run in oil and it pulled 250rwkw on pits's dyno in 3rd at 1.2bar. It was running rich with the lower comp ratio after the oil change it seems to be much smoother and rev's alot easier. i can feel the power earlier, and it feels like it may come on harder?? i will have it dynoed at the next dyno day & post the results. also pits's dyno results are usually at least 10% low??
  9. you would have to have some Hardcore cooling system to use nos on the track for more than 1 lap!!!! & anyway if its a gtst it would be some sideways action_____ Big GTR's struggle to reach 800hp...with a usable turbo setup at the track, let alone a gtst

  13. Yeah i saw that orange 300 last Thursday night at Roma street, sounds big with the "8". I asked what engine it was and he said it was out of an infinity?? is that the q45?

  16. man i cant believe the anty -hooning laws can just take your car and sell it without paying you any money. I would be going to court over that. There is no way cops should be able to drive over 180kmph for their own safety and the safety of others!! I remember an ambulance got done a while back by a speed camera on the M1 doing 180kmph and there was all sorts of public outcry!! They should have speed limiters. If you are driving at 100, or 110 and a car goes past at 180+ it is CRAZY and cops shouldn’t be able to do it!!
  17. my n1's have the following number on the exhaust housing, 64428-2 and a TR819?? I cant tell if they are r32's or r34's??
  18. just agreeing with R31Nismoid, i think a vs trim Vortech blower would be the best option for you from CAPA Australia. They work very similar to turbo's and they are very small package for easy installation. You also wont have as much heat within a confined engine bay....but they are expensive
  19. Hey man, I am in nearly exactly the same boat with my GTR 32. The rebuild should be complete in 3 weeks. It had damage to one of the pistons when i bought it and i have to rebuild now. The piston let go 5 days after i bought it! So now i am putting shot peened rods, arp bolts, and arais foggies (87.5mm) in for the bottom end. I am running n1's bought at unique motorsport (320hp), 750cc injectors, z32's, ap-fc and fmic. Before it blew i was spooling @ 3500rpm and hitting full boost at about 4000. This is with piston 4 running low at 89psi, so they might be more responsive with a healthy engine?? Ill let you know how i go when i get mine on the dyno. im hoping for 300-350kw. cheers,

  21. yeah i did get ripped a little, but apart from the engine the car is super clean and has nice mags & good suspension. I thought i was getting a good deal for a R32 93 Vspec with the Brembo's etc but with the rebuild it will work out to be a little over market value. Thats the risk you take i guess. Thanks for the comments above - i really want h beams but i cant afford them with the whole build, so i think i will have to settle for shot peened. I will be getting a light port & polish, but once again i can afford to get cams at the moment.
  22. Hi everyone, What are peoples thoughts on using shot peened standard rods or forged rods with forgged pistons if i want to run 1.5bar reliably?? I don’t really have the cash to go for the fogged rods, but I can afford to get my rods shot peened. I will be getting the crank machined, engine blueprinted and and rebuilt with 87mm Arias Fogged pistons, shot peened rods, ARP rod bolts and new bearings along with sum baffles and new gaskets etc. I have Group A turbos, intercooler and bigger injectors. Apparently before i got the car it had dynoed over 300kw at the wheels, so i would like to achieve this aith the new setup. History: I just bought a R32 GTR 2 weeks ago and on my first night out piston 4 had a piece of metal come from somewhere (ring/detonation???) and F$#^*$ked my head!! So i have owned it for 2 weeks and the car has been in the garage for most of the time. :_( It had been rebuilt 13,000kms ago by Unique MS in Sydney and i was aware that there had been some damage to the cylinder that failed cylinder as the compression was down to 90psi.   23. hey, just a thought......please correct me if im wrong, but you could try and get the engineering certificate in NSW or QLD then get it registered in VIC?? i dont think it they are as strict on the modifications? I will be trying this when i get my t88 powered 89 GTR complied and certified by the broker in Syd when it arrives in 3 weeks and then get my registration in QLD? cheers Francisco

What have people had stolen before?? i have a GTR to go on a boat on the 2nd of October and its got a set of Brand new Recaro's, and 2 gauges inside + turbo timer and HKS boost controller. I guess these bits and pieces are not the end of the world, but has anything like a frontmount or turbo ever gone missing?? cheers
