  1. Dean, I would love to have one. SKYL9, I have seen them from around $350 to $750+ second hand - you get what you pay for. SIR33, just like installing decent sus, installing a roll cage will increase handling. Roll cages increase chassis rigidity which will provide more positive feedback to the driver.
  2. Thanks for your help guys, all sorted:) and good luck with the business Ken
  3. Does anybody know how much it is likely to alter the emissions profile of a car if it is converted to LPG?????
  4. so do most schools have a carriculum to teach to? Lesson plans etc? Just sounds a bit bizarre, rolling up and trying to teach something without having any training or experience doing it, and in a foreign country. I have had to do a fair bit of training in my work (I was the lead instructor in my trade - navy), but it just sounds a bit overwhelming - where would you start once you get the job????? Cheers for any help/insight Steve
  5. Hi all, Just wondering if anybody knew how I could get in contact now that he no longer works at C-red? cheers Steve
  6. rbs13, by the time you have added all the other bits, put in cams and cam gears, the price is starting to get up a bit. Just by a HKS 2530 or Trust T517 and you will probably be alot quicker than an R33 with 250rwkw.
  7. Dean, yes they do incrase chassis rigidity - very much so. But they are illegal in SA:(
  8. Steve, you mention that some RB25s have weaker rods, and a few other things - is there any way to tell which engine is which without pulling the engine down? Cheers
  9. And then I will move to Queensland, where you can fit any size turbo to a car that came with one from the manufacturer, and it is legal to have a PowerFC as long as you can pass a 2 gas analyser test - and you dont even need a permit or engineers report.
  10. Maybe, but I dont give a Fark - I am not afraid to stand up to anyone - period. At the end of the day, even if I am crushed, I will know that I gave it my best shot. And thats all that matters:D
  11. I ran for ages on base map, but with only 0.6bar boost. When my car went on the dyno to be tuned, I was glad I had kept the boost low, as it was still running very rich on boost and had AF ratios in the 10s. Once it was tuned at 0.8 bar, with AF ratios at 12, it still had nearly 90% injector duty with stock injectors and fuel pump. Also, my AFM had run out of resolution (5.115V) by this stage too.
  12. Cheers:thumbsup:
  13. Miss*33, how is your lawyer doing the special job going;)
  14. You get your balls sucked at Uni, god you are hard to please (unless he was ugly:p hehehe, sorry couldnt resist:D) - what a life, lots of holidays and self paced workload - better than govt work.
  15. Nice result, but I gotta ask too, why only 0.6 bar - thats what the car will do without a boost controller once you do the exhaust (less back pressure increases boost over stock). 0.8 should be fine, turbo will love it and so will you;) Oh, and welcome to the world of illegal street cars. (sorry, on my anti regency kick at the moment:p)
  16. If you are after local second hand or new try www.d1garage.com Very reasonable prices.
  17. You will have to start a thread so I can rate you, then I will have to tell everyone how you came back with stuffed tread on the tyres and insisted the rubber was defective and wanted to exchange them:p
  18. Sorry, I was talking about the Brembos. I have an R33, so I doube the R32 brakes would do me much good:) What thickness are the rotors? also, if you could give me an idea of the other questions I raised too? cheers.
  19. Hmm, interesting, if you try and click hippy's trader rating, an error on page warning comes up - I think someone has been up to no good????
  20. Hey congrats thats great news.
  21. ecenshu, the track is I believe, the with between the centre line of the rear wheels, so it means you cant put on wheels that are so dished (with an offset) that they will move the width out greater than 25mm. Hope that makes sense. EDIT: What 4 door said:) Those road traffic regs are way too basic, has anybody seen anything on there about bovs or turbo timers or boost controllers or turbos? This is the whole crux of the issue, without current accurate regulations being freely available, how can anybody comply with the policy. I found out more interesting things today: Any change in regulations, or policy regarding enforcement of those policies, it would appear need to be passed through parliament - this tells me that either regency have a 'cart blanc' from the govt, or they are very, very naughty. Also, under the freedom of information act, all govt regulations and acts MUST be made freely available to the public - govt depts are not allowed to refuse access to these documents (as regency have done) AG office news: it would appear that with signed declarations or statements signed - the responsible departments MUST conduct an enquiry. But I was told, the more statements, and especially if people are willing to sign a declaration or sign a statement and say that it is the truth and they are willing to make such a statement in a court of law. That this would make it very difficult to be brushed under the carpet. I am actually thinking of hitting the premiers office at the same time now too.
  22. Hmm, well I have also heard that they arent all that great, but each to their own. I can tell you that either a ceramic clutch (also not recommended due to fatigue after about 6 months with just over 200rwkw) or a twin plate (highly recommended) do NOT have on/off operation. You can slip a twin plate better than a stock one or a ceramic. Yes they are a bit heavier, but you get used to it very quickly. I havent heard too many people that own twin plates bitch about them, I have only heard praise, and I love mine too.
  23. Yes, any photos of your engines also please? also do you have a web site?
  24. do you have photos of the calipers? why are you selling? will you seperate, and if so what price for the fronts? Also, how much is left on the disks?
  25. Just noticed too that you havent been on the forums long, do you know anybody else from here, it helps if someone can vouch for you as there are some crooked types around - not that I am accusing you of anything, just cautious.
