  1. WTF? I'd be making some enquiries with the city cop shop - these country lads sound like dicks. Definately fight this one, cant even prove it was you driving, and what was it you were supposedly doing? Just deny everything!
  2. Do a couple of hard launch, then pull over. If you can smell something similar to brakes (assuming you didnt stand on the brakes:)) you probably got slipping clutch. Basically the engine will be accellerating, but the cars accelleration will be very sedate by comparison. I remember when mine went, I would pull away gently and all would be ok, if I tried to give it too much stick, if felt (and was) alot slower even though the engine revved hard - if you know what I mean. Another dead giveaway is smoke coming out the front of the car near the back of the front wheels after you have done your launches (well mine did anyway).
  3. hmm, selling thermo fans? how about your oil cooler:p
  4. but skirts are so comfy - and allow for much better access:p
  5. :bahaha: :uh-huh: Must say it make life interesting, but at least she is understanding and supportive when I want to do more mods to the car - I think. Actually, I am not sure she has any choice:D
  6. Getting close hippy:D need dollars to finish off the car - still got to fit gasket and cams, oil cooler, decent plenum, hicas lock, and I want to get some decent seats and tyres. Also doing rear bar and rear wing. It never ends:)
  7. Bizarre, option 2, click on 'report this post to a moderator' and ask them to delete for you:)
  8. Midnight? I'll have to sedate the kids in the morning so I can sleep:p
  9. :uh-huh: especially when you forget to pressurise the fuel rail and check for leaks before bolting the mungrel back on...hehehe
  10. Well, I may as well go for boost at about 6000rpm:), but not until you get to third gear:p Probably wont even need a wastegate:D Sorry, I'm in a stupid mood
  11. If you fit them yourself, you will probably save a couple hundred in labour if you still have the stock plenum - good work.
  12. Ah there it is:D thats a pretty small wastegate, but with such a huge exhaust housing it would probably be fine, so where are you going to fit it on the stock manifold? Or are you going to set it up like Rob77? With a turbine housing that big, it would probably be a really good idea to get a killer manifold and some cams in there or you probably wont start boosting till 4th gear:p its a bloody monster!
  13. Mine were side feed sards:) Killer T has these injectors fitted, not sure if he fitted them himself? Might be worth a pm if he is still about. New o-rings should only cost a couple of dollars each, and you should be able to source them from any fuel injection shop, or rotary shop. Would be a good idea to do this as matter of course, as if one goes on you life could get pretty messy, especially whilst boosting:p I would hope they are pretty tight or they wont seal. I used engine oil to lube my sards up, and they were a pretty tight fit. Perhaps you need a slightly bigger holes in the fuel rail? Any engineering company should be able to help you out there, or a decent performance shop - hills would definately be able to help.
  14. Wastegate?
  15. Would they be castor rods? Seems to be working well for you.
  16. Friday night sounds good to me
  17. The guys name is Doug Potts, phone 8271 4573.
  18. Excellent, a very good buy IMHO, cheaper than a second hand GTR one.
  19. Mine did with stock cooler, got a FMIC and it held boost all the way to redline. Horsepowerinabox have a write up on the stock cooler saying it drops something in the range of 7psi at 6000+rpm, its on the cooler upgrade for R33 pages, worth a look. If what they say is true, when you are reading 10psi at 7000rpm, your turbo is actually making 17psi as boost is measured at the plenum. This is probably why its not a good idea to boost over 10psi (or try to) with a stock cooler;)
  20. Yes please:)
  21. Rev, you got contact details for Rotormotion?
  22. Cool, bbq lunch:D Do they have bbqs at the cart track?
  23. No worries, make sure you post up when its all done. Hmm, drift pratice on the nullabor:D

  25. Thanks Justified. At $520USD a set of 4, I am tending to agree with TonyGTSt:D
