    Trailers

Hi, Just wanted to see whether anyone (particularly in Sydney) have any recommendations on where to hire a decent trailer for taking the car to the track. I've tried Google and found some but the load weight seems somewhat on the light side. I need a trailer that will be able to support a 1800KG car. Will look into purchasing one down the track. Thanks
  3. Got no plans on the day and will most likely head over to have a look.
  4. Well, it's good that the dealer id's the issue and offered to fix it without issues. Mine was replaced recently and I have never launched either.
  5. I was bored and flashed from LC4 to LC5. Maybe it's a psychological thing but I actually like LC4 better for day to day driving. It makes less sound and was a bit smoother during start/stop? I heard LC4 had more slip in the clutch, is this the reason? I have since reflashed back to LC4 from LC5
  6. Did the upgrade to LC4 with VDC OFF as recommended by Martin and it is a day and night difference to the LC2. Smoother shifts especially from 1st to 2nd and no more shuddering when taking off slowly or slowing to a near stop and then moving off again. Will play around with LC5 this week to see what the difference (if any is).
  7. Thanks Martin last question - any value in saving the standard maps for future reference or is it available on the web?
  8. Got my cobb today and am a bit bored at work. Don't have time to take the car to the workshop as it's the weekend but want to try to upgrade the TCM myself to see what the fuss is about in the meantime I want to upgrade to LC5 and was wondering anyone know which map name and transmission type to select? Map Name : * Level 1 - 3300 RPM * Level 2 - 3700 RPM * Stock Style LC2 Logic Transmission Type: JF04B JF09D JF09E JW91A JW91B JW91D
  9. Sorry to hijack but anywone know a good paint correction place + detailer in Sydney? Prefer someone who comes to you.
  10. Also got my special maintenance done + added in additional brake clips to my front calipers which makes rattling sounds on bumps. Took 1.5 days all up which is pretty quick. Car is super quiet now and feels like new to drive. Also, my rattle from before which occurred during start/stop and low rpms is now gone. I have never launched the car and the rattle appeared maybe 1.5-2 months ago. It worried me to have this sound after warranty so I got it fixed under warranty which was a bit of a struggle. Car is now out of warranty so I've just purchased a Cobb and will be upgrading to LC5 and a tune. Also have new ported turbo inlets and ID1000 injectors coming =) Already have intakes, midpipe and catback.
  11. Do you have interior photos? Also, I assume the car comes with headlights or is it a 'work in progress' type of car
  12. From what I have "heard", it's a bit of a hit and miss I have "heard" of items coming from China/HK/Japan and going straight through customs. I have also "heard" of products coming from the US getting flagged for taxes most of the time. These were all roughly the same value
  13. Hi Leng, This is Eric =) Which ADV1's you order? Cheers
  14. Hi All, I have for sale my original r35 GTR rims. These includes a set of Potenza RE0070 R2s with 98% tread + OEM TPMS. Tyres were on for roughly 1/2 a month. I will even through in a set of the blue valve caps =) Reason for sale: my new wheels + tyres arrived =) Notes: 2 wheels have been professionally touched up. Now, for those that have tried to get the OEM wheels touched up, it is near impossible to get a 100% match. IMO, these are very close. You will need to really go up to the wheel and squint in the sun to see the difference. Apart from that, there is also a small textural feel difference if you run your hands on them. I have attached photos of the 4 wheels. One of the rear wheels also have a small scratch on a spoke in the third photo which I will also fix once a sale has been confirmed. Apart from that, there are no gutter rashes that I am aware off unless you can see them in the phtos. The 2nd photo is light reflecting off the wheel and not marks. Price: $3700 pickup. These tyres alone will set you back $2.5 - $3.5K depending where you shop. You can buy a set off NAGTROC for roughly the same price after import taxes but these come with near new tyres and you don't have to wait. I am in Sydney 2126. You can organise your own courier if you wish.
  15. Hi, I purchased the tyre/wheel/tpms off Acute Performance from NAGTROC. He did ask me the year of my GTR and knows I'm in Australia. Not sure if i'll have issues with the TPMS pairing. Looks like I'll have to see when I get to the HPC. Not so much concerned about buying new TPMS but not really keen to have to take the tyres off the wheel again lol.
  16. Stupid question but I am getting my new tyres/wheels put on today which also has new TPMS. Do I need to take it to the HPC for a reset? My car is not due in for maybe another 2 weeks. Is it ok to drive til then? Thanks
  17. Yeah, that is bad as well. I drive on the motorway where is basically a wall on one side and construction happening. I get to hear the rattle pretty much every day =( Martin - yeah, Nissan is offering the replacement so it's all good =) hopefully they give me the newer model bellhousing. The dealer said they only have 1 part number that they order from. Also, they can now do it without dropping the engine.
  18. Loud rattle (sounds like marbles) during acceleration from standstill or slow speeds (between 900-1300 rpm). At idle, there is rattling but it's the 'normal' rattling and nothing like the ones in NAGTROC. There are no noises in park/neutral revving. Gets annoying/embarrasing when I am in start/stop traffic or parking and I need to step on the accelerator often as the rattle appears. Currently, there is prop shaft play but within tolerance. Noise appeared a month ago and getting louder. Have done 0 launches.
  19. I will most likely be moving to the Willall transmission fluid after my warranty runs out. My GTR tech is against it but I have heard good things about it. I am currently on OEM. I am also getting my transmission fixed under warranty in a few weeks. It was already a bit of a battle with getting the warranty approved on OEM fluids (consisted of multiple visits to the HPC, sound and video clips, complaints to Nissan Australia etc). I do not if I would have had the same outcome if I was on Willall though?
  20. Nice wheels. Michael from Acute Performance is great and he seems to be able to answers emails at all times of the day lol. Don't worry, I didn't order your wheels =) Looking forward to your response regarding the springs as I am looking to lower also. Looking at either the swift springs or the KW sleeve kit.
  21. PM'd you my number Mine is getting worse too. According to Nissan, they will take 4 hours to diagnose the issue lol. I will be taking my car another reputable workshop this week as well as a precaution. Does yours sound like this? Mine is close to 2 times louder which is embarassing during start/stop traffic and when trying to park. Normally I wouldn't be fussed but it is getting louder and it wasn't there 2-3 weeks ago which was around the time it went in for service
  22. g35me, what's the noise you are getting from the flywheel? Rattle on idle or acceleration from standstill? Mine is going in for another check on Monday. The tech had a look at it last week and sent sound clips to Nissan Australia.
  23. anyone have the email address handy of Nissan Australia HQ ready? I might need to send them an email on an unrelated matter but still concerning warranty
