  3. Thank you for organising the cruise. Putty rd is a great drive. On an unrelated note, I was filling up at united and was suprised they had 100 Octane.
  4. anyone know the route between the clarendon meet point to putty road?
  5. sort of OT.. are there any additional steps when changing the tyres as the tyre place may not have done a GTR before.. e.g. TPMS reset etc? I heard/read that the TPMS needs to be resetted or something?

  8. Have a zele style rear CF diffuser for sale. Purchased for $800. Selling for $650 pickup. Brand new, never fitted. Pickup from the hills area or you can organise your own courier. Reason for selling - decided on another item PM if interested
  9. Very discouraging to hear that. Have you gotten any quotes from independent workshops to fix the issue?
  10. Hi, I purchased a diffuser, splitter and skirts and would like a workshop that has worked on R35s before to fit them for me. I could probably do it myself but knowing me, I usually end up with left over bolts more often than not. Anyone have any recommendations in Sydney? Thanks
  11. hmm. been browsing on nengun and prices seems pretty good just need to find the correct offsets for different rims
  12. on a similar note, anyone know any good distributors for advans (preferably cheap) looking at advan TC III or RS-D's in 20s but a bit more aggressive offet so it sits a bit more flush. Does anyone know if having more aggressive offsets affect anything handling wise on the r35?
  13. Got quoted low $300 for delivery to my door for a set of GTR tyres from tirerack. Unforunately, they don't sell BBS to other markets so i'll need to find them locally or from somewhere else. Looking for either BBS or Advans. I think i'll go for the Dunlop 7010 A/S RFT. They have good wear so it should last for a while and good grip for the street. However, with that said, I do love the tread pattern of the potenzas (a few guys asked whether they were legal lol). They are roughly the same price so i'm still a bit undecided. The michelins are only $200 or so cheaper so it's probably safer to just go RFTs (for me). For non-RFTs, there are also yoko advan sports and pirellis (both are quite cheaper) but again, not RFTs
  14. Yeah, will definately take a bit getting used to ... coming from a 2.5L Z4 Have plans for full exhaust, intakes + piping and a cobb tune in the not too distant future. Also after some new rims and tyres too. Hers's a few pics from today. Kuro black stock as a rock.
  15. Yeah thanks. I'm just paranoid Went for a spin just then.. Loving it
  16. Hi, im sure we've all been there, getting used to the various noises and sounds of the car. I guess im paranoid after getting the car checked and reading about gearbox horror stories. Whilst my car had no rattles, I've noticed something and hope someone can confirm. If you are in park and rev up from 1k and very very slowly rev up, does it go up smooth or is it a mixture of noises and very slight vibrations under the car? Nissan said its normal but it was something I didn't try with the other gtrs so hope someone can test it here. I'm typing on my mobile so excuse the grammar
  17. Thanks Wardski, can you PM me the contact for the Michelins? I am still waiting back for shipping from the US but from calling a few places (for Potenza/Dunlop), it works out a few hundred bucks cheaper. The tradeoff is obviously the shipping time though I'm not in a hurry. The Dunlop 7010 A/S also has a good wear rating too compared to the Potenza and the Dunlop 600
  18. Cheers Found a bit of a guide here too also http://www.2009gtr.com/2011/09/nissan-gt-r-wheel-and-tire-fitment.html Though i'll probably go for RFTs, do the Michelins cater for the stock TPMS?
  19. Cheers Anyone have any experience with any of these? 1) Potenza RE070R (what is the difference between R2 and the normal one? which is better for just street use?) 2) Dunlop SP Sport 7010 A/S DSST (how do these compare to the potenzas?) I'm at work so googling for reviews is a little hard (harder than posting on SAU) hahaha
  20. Heya, Just purchased an r35 and picking her up tomorrow. Currently has potenzas which will need to be replaced in the not too distant future. Anyone have any good recommendation for street tyres and suppliers (apart from the dealer). What other alternatives are there? I know there's the Dunlops. Cheers ECL
  21. Haven't been on a SAU cruise for a long time so have a stupid question here, what does the "run under a CAMS permit mean"?
