  1. hi all, i have a 1.5way in the rear of my gtr which i recently purchased - with its common clunky & shuttering noises when taking sharp turns at lower speed, the noise is bordering embarrassment lol anyway, i dropped the old oil & bought tomei diff oil 80/90w which was $100 for 2 ltrs...this product is incredible the inherent noise of these mechanical diffs is completely eliminated & actually sounds like a factory viscous i did the same thing to my old nismo 1.5way 2yrs ago & ran this oil - if you have a noisy mechanical diff, you gotta buy this oil!!! i hope others benefit from this thread
  2. mark - the way you fix your issue is take it to crd a few of us here have heard this timing issue more than a few times with unigroup, however, jim @ crd has NEVER raised this sort of glitch with my setup (food for thought) ive heard very good things about yavus though
  3. NSNPWR: that satin black looks awesome! ali-turko: would u be able to update my animated gtr pic to metallic red
  4. bit off topic - what nrims u running on your gtr in the avatar? they look awesome white on a dark colour
  5. that sounds awesome - i'll give it a go if i cant get the old paint off
  6. they're not cheap & quite hard to find in decent condition
  7. that sounds good - does the paint flex though or does it crack as soon as it touches a gutter?
  8. hi guys, i have an r32gtr which has a painted front lower lip - i dont know why they paint them in the 1st place, imo they look sooooo much better in the factory black plastic finish. anyway, has anyone ever attempted to remove the paint & if so what works well? i dont want to damage the factory plastic finish nor do i want to rub it back - i want that factory look i have heard about a paint stripper which doesn't damage plastic, does it exist though?
  9. here is some interesting info on the 94 vspec2: - 02/14/'94 V-spec2 added Tire changed 245/45-17 # N1 model gets based on V-spec2 Besides these, ECU, cylinder block and the size of turbine had been modified some times without notice. Spot welding is supposedly decreased after '94. the 91+ yr models are not 50kg heavier - unless those later model gtr's fitted with side intrusion bars are using solid section steel bars lol (these bars weigh 5kg max) the 89 gtr's which had additional parts such as oil cooler didn't arrive like that from the factory...that is a selling pitch to the vendor my dad used to always say "believe half of what you hear & none of what you see" god rest his soul
  10. my 94 has no intrusion bars it did come to aust though in 03 i think which is under the 15yr old, need to check my compliance papers
  11. haha it does sound like a WMD gtr lol i drove 900k to view another gtr which wasn't much better than the above...i then came back home but we made a boys weekend out of it! not sure why the 89 would be more favourable than a later model gtr? i had an 89 & now have a 94, that was my prerequisite as i wanted a younger car i also agree that buying locally is cheaper & far less risk - the gtr's in japan really are starting to rust from the salt they use on their snow coated roads BUT either way - it takes a lot of time to find a good example if you are fussy
  12. what did u end up buying? where is the link/pics i also recently bought a very clean gtr - they were hard to come by back in 04 when i was looking as i could have bought 1 then for 20k+ but ended up spending 40k on a clean aust delivered gtr...these days, its as rare as hens teeth finding a good example 32!
  13. i wasn't around to see how he took them out
  14. that is a good et considering the mph wasn't that high - nicely setup car
  15. to your mates credit - he got both the front windows out without cracking them
  16. im sure its the other way around i.e. early model doesnt have the plastic which goes out to the spokes & the later model plastic follows the 3 spokes unless my 89 gtr & my aust delivered 91 gtr both had late model wheels as both had the plastic backing around the boss which didnt go out to the spokes...can anyone confirm?
  17. thanks your contact sounds like a good guy!
  18. thanks your contact sounds like a good guy!
  19. can anyone recommend a glassy in syd for the front windscreen?
  20. i got a quote for $90 to get the rear window which is toughened so the glass expert said this wont crack, however, as the front windscreen is laminated there is a 50% chance of it cracking which sux
  21. stevo - the thread you closed was directed at 'can i remove the windows myself' whereas this thread is 'who in sydney can remove my windows'...although i do also ask in this thread whether i give it a crack myself - nonetheless i understand the confusion back on topic
  22. that will get the window out lol BUT i need both out in 1 piece
  23. thanks anth - i searched for prestige autoglass but cant find them on google, do u have their details? also, what was their price?
  24. Hi guys, I live in Sydney & want to know if anyone knows of who can remove my front & rear window from my r32gtr shell? I guess i could call o’brien glass – is there anyone else though as im sure they wont be cheap... Alternatively – i am tempted to do this myself as well if anyone can point me in the right direction. regards
  25. hi guys, i want to remove the front & rear window off my r32gtr shell - can i do this myself? as i understand, i need a specific tool to cut the seal first, is this right? if so, where do i get this tool from (supercheap)? thanks
