  17. well ive popped 2 bottom ends to date, tuner is highly reputable (crd). i wish i could get away with a factory bottom end - im sure many others on here do as well if you want to push it hard, it is only a matter of time
  18. most definitely, being a race car you could only imagine the r&d that went into the head work. however, my head is ported to specifically match my cams with bigger springs but still runs stock valves/retainers/buckets. its simple - if you want more power you need bigger turbos & cams etc each to their own, im just vouching from what ive learnt from others that have been mucking around with gtr's when i was in high school
  19. too much boost for stock internals - with forged internals this wouldn't happen
  20. weekend car only - i managed to get 5000km out of it but i was prepared to rebuild which is why i didnt really care. ring land collapsed - started breathing heavy & lost comp in no.6 cylinder (usually 5 or 6 will let go 1st as they carry most of the heat)
  21. my 1st gtr gave me 6mths on a stock bottom end with 365awkw @ 23psi - wait for it...
  22. old shell is sold sorry - had a rear ender before my time which i was never happy with, also wanted a later model gtr and went with the red 94 which im very happy with - it is incredibly clean & straight the main attraction for me was no accident damage & the paint is original so i know that nothing is hidden with a fresh coat (i.e. rust or panel damage). so where are those pics of your new purchase? i'll show u mine if u show me yours HA!
