hi guys, i recently picked up a red gtr & was contemplating on whether i should respray the rear bar for the reason that the bottom part of the bar has been left raw black, similar to the front lower lip...what do u guys think about this finish? that lower section of rear bumper is actually a rough finish as well, again, similar to the front lower lip. its kinda starting to grow on me in a funny way

hi guys, my new r32gtr has a thin film of black soot which does come off with polish but it is very stubborn...is there a chemical i can get to remove this stuff? here is a pic to give u an idea of the buildup, mainly around the top of the firewall (above the engine) regards marko

duncan - how much is the radiator if i become a member & what brand is it? please dont tell me its 1 of those justjap units (coolerpro) as i have this in my car & im not happy with it

i just spoke to my panel beater who is highly reputable here in sydney & he said to stay clear. his rule of thumb "if it doesnt look like the factory seal or 1 side looks different to the other side, they're hiding something" in this case both sides look the same so both sides have been done with new wheel arch skirts ...makes sense to me

thanks anthony, but why would you ruin a nice factory seal with aftermarket sealer? what is underneath? is it hiding something underneath like a major repair? do you think that the wheel arches have been changed due to a big front end accident? to dmamage the wheel arches chances are that it may have structural damage...

are u referring to the underside where the weld cannot be seen? i'd have to get the wheel off & black plastic inner wheel arch cover. what doesnt make sense is why would the spray painter make a new seam when the factory finish looks great & his finish looks terrible? my only explanation is that the front end hit must have been hard enough to squash the front wheel arches & new have newly fitted wheel arch guards

hi guys, i am interested in this gtr but i query why only the engine bay was resprayed & not the outside of the car, the seller also explained that it was in a front end hit but not sure of the extent of damage as he bought it after it was repaired...anyway, i cross checked the 'strut tower' where it meets with the 'wheel arch' on my current gtr & it is definitely a smooth finish with a hard film of silastic to finish it off(it looks factory)...whereas these pics look like it has been welded & looks quite messy - what are your thoughts guys? this looks messy as well, passenger side bonnet hinge mount to body: i'd hate to buy a car then find out later that it may have been a cut & shut something else i spotted is that the front right guard sits higher than the door...hmmm please let me know what you think - thanks in advance

that is interesting as 2 other gtr's ive owned never had a different vin for aust registration purposes

also - does this vin number mean anything as it is associated to the above chassis number: 6T91MPAAAR1BCW004 im not sure why the same car has a different vin number & different chassis number...anyone know why this might be the case?

not sure yet but i'd say i'll drop the 26/30 in the red gtr - ive spent way too much time & effort on this with the build, hardware, busting crd's balls & rob @ rips lol btw - the wheels are lm gt1's

your car sounds awesome - reminds me of my 26/30 in terms of pickup, hard to gauge really...are u asking if your setup is similar to my rb26/30 with -10s OR rb26 with -5s? i actually think that maybe my rb26/30 with -10s has less lag than my rb26 with -5s?

my 2 other gtr's & my brothers gtr dont have a grain in the leather, definitely smooth finish on the r32

hmmm - would be very aggressive & punchy in bottom end area but im not sure about what top end they would support? i know of a few guys on gtr uk who have cracked over 400kw with -5s me personally, i'd rather -10s on a 26/30 as i do like top end rush i'd say for the circuit though the -5s would be a deadly package (im sure stevo 'n1gtr' was talking about -5s for a long time but not sure whether he followed through)

i finally picked my replacement gtr this is my black gtr with the rb26/30: here is my new toy: i kinda miss the rb26, it has a much more pitch sound BUT doesn't have the same brute power of the rb26/30 this red gtr has a forged engine with -5s & drives very well, 333awkw on crd's dyno @ a lazy 19psi

i'll take a pic of my wheel & post it - not sure if this leather kit will repair it...
