  2. are u looking at running the baffle mod in the factory pipe as well? u getting any shuffle/surge on light throttle under low revs? best way test it, 50kmh in 4th then flatten the throttle
  3. sorry bubba - 2 lines run from the side of the catch can back to 2 fittings in the side of the sump, at the highest pt of the sump
  4. how about milling the flange off the twin turbo pipe itself? i might try that myself as i have a replacement twin turbo pipe & would liek to retain the badge/boss if possible
  5. i run a border catch can which i got from rhd japan then modified as directed by rob @ rips. the correct way to run a catch can is to have both cam covers run individual lines to the top of a catch can which should have a filter, then run 2 seperate lines from the catch can (1 at bottom & another at mid point) back to the side of the sump so that it runs back into the sump

  8. how much can u get the chinese hard pipe kit for? ive heard the jap pipe kits are close to 2k beware of aftermarket manifolds & subsequent cracking i know that mark berry did a back2back test with his hi octane r32gtr which was making over 400rwkw & in fact he lost mid range power with tomei extremes manifolds (top end was was within 1kw of the factory port matched manfolds)

  11. lol u remind me of my mate with his mazda mps - he dumps the clutch all the time & i ask him why? to be honest ive never seen anyone do that in gtr whilst rolling, on launch im all for it though sounds tough

  15. a guy i know just bought an arc dual entry for just under 3k...retails 5k! what a work of art though!
  16. have your actuators calibrated so they both crack open at the same boost level - this will cause turbo surge

  18. duncan - your engineer is right...we ran my car with the modded pipe & it took out the surge, both paul (piggaz) & i were surprised! it works
  19. paul - i think we were both a bit surprised that your modded pipe actually works on my car, thanks again for helping me out
  20. it is very minimal & only under 3krpm when the engine is under load in a high gear (whichis hardly ever) - i really need to provoke it to make it happen will be interesting to see the bak2back comparison though paul - cant wait! lets call it a "myth buster"
