  1. i should add that the noise also started after a night at the drags as well, i than had it rebuilt
  2. this is the thing though - the diff made noise before i had it rebuilt. this is why i had it rebuilt, due to the noise & whilst it was apart i decided on a full overhaul as the diff tags were snapped off
  3. i had terry @ award diff build it for me - nice guy & knows his shit! i'll speak to him tomorrow, he initially thought it could be a half shaft that might have twisted when i ran it @ the drags but i i think its gears itself, i.e. worn gear set i wonder if adjusting the backlash can eliminate the noise, maybe if it was running a bit looser it will let more oil in between the gears?
  4. i was also thinking of trying redline diff oil, it did wonders to my gearbox on my old gtr
  5. hi guys, i had my diff rebuilt with new bearings, seals & new nismo shims for my r32gtr (2 way diff). prior to having it rebuilt, it used to make a humming noise between 60-90km...since the rebuild it makes the same noise but not as bad. what could this be? maybe the fresh oil helped with some of the noise? or is it normal for a 2way diff to make this sound? if i have the radio on medium level i cannot hear the diff, im just really fastidious when it comes to my gtr thanks marko
  6. did u sort out your gearbox with hills? what did mark have to say about the way it drives?
  7. i agree, u then wont have to top it up with ice
  8. do u have any pics of this setup? i couldn't imagine the ice would last long, how often would u need to top it up on a hot day (or is it just for dyno runs)?
  9. was it 427kw with ice & 409kw without ice? why dont u speak to nick about his water methanol setup - if that helps?
  10. jim @ crd is the best tuner - period!
  11. ive always wondered what an aftermarket single throttle body intake plenum would make in terms of gain...does anyone have this data (i.e. before & after test)? im also using the factory intake plenum
  12. great to hear bernie what boost level are u planning to run or u sticking with 1.5bar? oh & what is that thing sitting above the intake lol - when i 1st looked at your clip i initially thought it was a pisstake as it looks like a MASSIVE turbine!
  13. that lfa is rwd which is a major problem when running big hp & the price tag is 750k! u could buy an r35 in every colour for that price hehe
  14. traction might be a problem with rwd
  15. check these out lol being my b'day my wife bought me 'some' gtr apparel & organised a gtr cake - i just wonder what her family really thinks of me with this silly addiction we all have on this forum haha btw the pink top is for my daughter, not me
  16. that boot lid with the factory badges looks fantastic! where did u get the carbon gear shift, park brake & centre console arm rest covers from?
  17. fuel smell fixed! i am using 1 brand of fuel hose for all my fuel system plumbing to/from the surge tank. my return line (3/8) is another brand which i bought from robbo's as a last minute decision, this hose was permeating throughout the car...i changed this 3/8 hose to the same brand as the rest and wallah! very happy now i can put my 8mth old baby in the back seat
  18. im making 450rwkw on 23psi with my -10s. if u want a street setup with good mid range response, go with -10s or hks gtrs (the hi octane gtr will give u a good idea of the ride) if u want more power BUT also sacrifice 1000+rpm in delayed boost response, get the t51r. t51r would be great on a 26/30 without a doubt
  19. those last 2 images are cool - what application did u use? or did hang the engine with fishing line haha
  20. www.purplepig.com.au industrial suppliers
  21. i was under the impression that ben is no longer working there - if he is still there & a new owner is appointed, well that is no big deal if he was no longer there then that would be a different place
  22. u cant be serious about that pricing - wtf is that! i bought all my clamps for about $150 which are the proper t-clamp style (i think it was 16 clamps in total)
