  1. That is interesting most conrods are made in china, I guess they've picked up their game? Paul - where are argo rods made and mahle pistons?
  2. you pay for what u get i.e. dont go with the cheaper option. i'd be looking at: - greg @ proengines (he built my engine) - rob @ rips - jim @ crd also worth having a chat with paul, aka 'swiper the fox' or 'dirtgarage'
  3. just get an r35 which has the vg38 & be done with it HA!
  4. sounds good! what fuel are u going to run here, e85 or 98?
  5. my sincere condolences to tom, gerard & their families.
  6. i wish it was that easy with the smaller r32...bonnet needs to be cut unless you run rb20 covers
  7. you are right - its like asking a girl on a 1st date "wana bang?" the shock impact can work in your favour though
  8. 2.5k in braided lines...what is your budget for this build?
  9. for the record, my mate received his part although it took longer than expected
  10. looks like u had a decent turnout of cars - did anyone get booked?
  11. If bernie doesn't find any fragments in the engine, that will be frustrating I'm sure. Not knowing the cause would drive anyone up the wall
  12. To get a full system done in 4inch including front pipes is approx 4k aud, now to run 2 x 3 inch pipes I'd assume would be more than as it is essentially 2 exhaust systems + shipping which I would think is 500 aud. Bernie, what's the latest with your donk nothing worse than an engine failure, other than a funeral
  13. I got a price on them which I think were 400-500 for fronts alone. The local 'race brakes' are only 150 for fronts, my mate who was doing 1:07 at wakefield in a stock r32gtr did back2back testing with a no. of pads including some jap brands and bendix ultimate, in terms of braking power and wear the race brakes came out on top. If anyone is interested I can find his email and post it here?
  14. I think I would miss my 5inch canon way too much lol. It actually measures the same OD as my tail lights, so essentially I have 5 rear tail lights, that is, when it shoots a flame
  15. Bernie - that is a custom job BUT the apexi n1 system is the same with 2 x 3inch pipes and straight off the shelf
  16. thanks - i knew that, i was just testing other members knowledge
  17. which company makes DS2500 pads? i should know this
  18. I don't think my new brakes will be back in time so its touch and go as to my attendance on the day
  19. next project for my car is to improve braking power. im running factory brakes & have been informed that these are quite good when setup right, so im getting the discs machined, replacing brake fluid with motul & running 'race brakes' pads all around (race brakes is the actual brand). i had this setup in my previous gtr and was very happy with them (apart from when they squealed like crazy which sounds racey anyway lol & crap braking power when cold). i definitely need to do this as its very dangerous with the power its running - currently up on stands & ive removed the calipers/discs & dropped the fluid
  20. you never realise how much of an animal it is until u see it from this angle (rear shot) that must be a handful but also a lot of fun!
  21. I've heard very good things about the nismo coppermix, I am still a massive fan for the jb full monty I'm running 405awkw with 930nm and this single plate with 4400lbs pressure plate holds like my os giken triple plate and exedy twin plate BUT drives almost like a factory clutch! I will never buy another multi plate clutch, dreadful to drive...
