  1. Hi all, I heard from greg @ proengines yesterday & he had some good news over the weekend from Superlap...when the Japanese sun cyber evo broke a cam on friday they didn't have any spares with them. A mate of gregs who was running in the pro class (marty) had greg build a spare engine for him last week and as a result, marty sold the head to get the sun cyber evo going again. They picked up power and ended up running a 1:30.5 on Saturday to win the event which is incredibly quick! Feedback was that the head was better than what they were running to start with. This is an awesome accolade for pro engines in anyones eyes! Now i can say that the engine builder responsible for the head on the superlap winner for 2010 (Japanese sun cyber evo) built my engine  Congratulations greg!!!
  2. I haven't run -5s or -9s but have had gtss, gtrs and -10s
  3. Some of us gtr owners also run 3litre engines In my personal experience, the ultimate street setup for a 2.6litre are the -5s (hks gtss) and for the 3litre the -10s (hks gtrs) if u want midrange and top end performance without sacrificing either
  4. My -10s out performed my previous hks gtrs setup When I built my engine, I was tossing up between the -10s and a t04z and I stuck with -10s for a number of reasons...my tuner told me at the time its either u go -10s or a t51r as he can tune a t51r to come in about 1000rpm later than the -10s so yes I agree with u, tuning plays a huge part in response. Also noted if its tuned for response u sacrifice top end and vice versa.
  5. I got my -10s at a very good price, u could almost call it mates rates pricing at mtqes
  6. Snazzy shoes john!
  7. The way I understand it in that 1st clip where skaife explains it 'wet chip is used for the rain for constant 4wd' so it must bypass the g sensor, similar to the torque converter switch I have in my gtr 'extreme tsc' brand
  8. hence why it was labeled as GODZILLA!
  9. ^ that 1st clip is awesome & i like the how they simplify to explain the 4wd system "data is logged to the brain"
  10. Funny thing thought duncan, when I cracked open the nipple there was 1 bubble followed by a small mist of bubbles. Happy its all sorted now I didn't check to see if the brake pedal is adjustable, not needed
  11. Brake pedal issue fixed with a 2nd bleed
  12. from what i know, e85 burns 30% faster hence u need a stronger fuel system to cope. i was thinking of running e85 which is why im running 3 fuel pumps with surge tank, dual entry rail & 1600cc injectors (with your power goal you'll need 1000cc injectors min) i was advised by my tuner to expect an additional 50awkw & boost level can be increased from 23psi to 30psi without a problem
  13. What are rated at? I think I last read 800hp. Paul had a gearbox for sale from twoogle about 18mths ago for 4.5k I think complete with gear set, that was a good price...I should have jumped on it.
  14. Grow some seeds? Lol, if u add water they may even sprout some hair I couldn't hold back...I guess u couldn't as well paul
  15. will do steve! 1500 for labour is not bad...terry knows his stuff!
  16. well if it was going to cost me 3kish i'd definitely take that path. that is very cheap! i should speak to terry @ award diff for a price on fitting the gearset. i always thought it was up around the 7k mark? apparently the input shaft also needs to be upgraded as well on the r32.
  17. competition is healthy & without it there would be no challenge. to put this into context: how would u feel if u paid good money for architectural designed plans (as architects are very expensive) for that 'point of difference' then u notice another house up the road with same facade? dont tell me that would put a smile on your face? when i was growing up, 1 of my best friends used to idolise everything i would wear & own, same skateboards etc - all i wanted to do was crack him in the head! the same happened again when i started riding motorbikes...it got under my skin big time.
  18. come to think of it - if i ever break this box like i did in my other gtr, i'd probably just get another gtr box exchange unit...these days u can get them for under $1000. what is the cost to get an os gearset fitted in a box (i'd do the r&r myself)?
  19. box is good - that redline shockproof is a godsend!
  20. cost. if i upgrade my braking system though, i will get k-sports all around which will set me back about 4k. refaced discs = $100 f&r pads = $300 brake fluid = $70 i also dont think i need huge brakes for the street - the likes of duncan who race in production advises that the factory gtr brakes are quite good when setup right. i know with the power i have i should get bigger brakes - for now though, im wrapped & dont see the requirement
  21. quick update: my new brake setup feels phenominal...the combination of refaced factory rotors, 'race brakes' pads & motul factory line brake fluid gives me all the confidence i need, dont know how long they would last on the track though with over 400awkw thats ok, i'll just turn down the wick on track days (if/when i get out there) for the 1st time, i activated my abs with fark all pressure on the pedal haha i have noticed that my pedal sinks lower to the floor though than previously, is there an adjustment to bring in the contact point a bit earlier?
  22. regardless of other peoples perspectives & how this is all viewed...its a low blow
  23. u know what i mean maybe the 32gtr will become like the classic datsun 1600 where ppl are squeezing sr's & fj's into them lol u couldnt do that to a japanese supercar which hit the market @ 125k back in 89...i wonder what the value of 125k 20yrs ago would equivalent to in todays market? anyway, waaaay off topic now, sorry brad.
