i thought the t04z make big power on rb26's? my rb26/30 is making 405awkw (equivalent to 445rwkw) on low mount garrett -10s @ only 23psi

quick update guys - i decided to upgrade my n1 oil pump to the nitto oil pump as it wasn't up for the task. greg @ proengines also made a custom collar to better suit the oil pump. i'll be taking the gtr to crd hopefully this sat for a quick health check

sorry. let me elaborate...dropping the engine will mean that the front cv's will also drop down with the engine which will have an adverse effect on the entire front end in terms of clearance & position of front driveshafts dropping the engine will also give less clearance to the road

i heard it is only about 15mm to clear the bonnet...i was going to slot my engine mounts BUT people in the know how such as rob @ rips strongly advised not to do this as the goemetry of the suspension is affected. modifying the cross member wuold do the exact same thing

my gtss setup made 320awkw - it was nice

1 of my most enjoyable setups was in my previous gtr, all i had was a plasmaman intercooler, custom 3" inch exhaust with tuned length front pipes (looked ridiculous but it worked), air filter & pfc...that made 242awkw. it was fun because i could launch it, squeeze it hard etc & it was well balanced - the power was nice & not violent/intimidating dont ask why i now have a 700hp setup, boredom i guess

Mark, That is something i was instigating but then u have the challenge of fitting the turbo oil lines and intake pipes...it all becomes a bit of a mess. On top of this, it doesnt give anymore clearance to the bonnet as the engine height remains 1inch higher with the rb30 donk

exactly my thoughts, i would not be changing the geometry of a well engineered car, that is just ludicrous in anyones opinion...just cut that bonnet imo

hi katrina, that is a nice setup u have there what cams u running & any head work/porting? reason i ask, im making 405awkw on my -10's (hks gtrs equivalent) @ 23psi on my rb26/30, seeing that you are from the ACT u might know of 'autotech' & 'pro engines' where do u take your car for mechanical mods & tuning? regards marko

i can see the pics but cant tell what has been done, maybe its because im viewing the thread via mobile phone, although, the intake pipe looks to be sitting lower than usual Even if that was the case, it doesnt solve the problem of cam cover clearance

i bet it is - dont lose boost between gears/revs/engine load if u have any other pics of the car u want to share, pls post them up for some reason your car has a lot of appeal - i think its the colour (like mine )
