  1. bubba - that is a lot of play, cant belive that! i just wonder whether this clearance is required though for heat expansion...greg, what are your thoughts on this? do you recall how much play my pump has with the customer collar you made for it?
  2. u must have elongated the engine mount holes & dropped the engine?
  3. was that 960 for the entire external setup? If so, that is dirt cheap ah the memories of my youth, i had a dato 1600 with fj20t in 98 and these donks are still kicking around
  4. cutting the bonnet would not affect your insurance policy. i cut the bonnet bracing to clear the intake pipe & the twin badge was just touching the bonnet skin so i took the badge off & ground off the boss & now has about 10mm clearance, looks nicer without it as well the -10s im pretty sure at the same height as the stock turbos
  5. well i cut my bonnet to fit my rb26/30 (to clear the cam shaft covers & twin turbo intake pipe) - if u dont like the look of cutting the bracing u can simply just refit the bonnet insulation & u wouldn't even know it has been modified
  6. i dont think dropping the engine 15mm will solve the problem - besides that, when the engine twists under load it will still touch the bonnet bracing. are u sure u want to drop the engine lower? ...i was advised by rob @ rips not to do this as it changes the geometry of some of the important components i.e. cv joints
  7. u remind me of jim richards with your glasses lol nice pics btw
  8. And ill do the biggest 4 wheel drifts and launches imagineable, if i try them they are not coming off haha...refer to me as The Thrashaaa!
  9. u still think your rims belong on my car
  10. You are a naughty boy nick, she was a bit heavy but still did get up and boogie with the right shaft...my car is coming out of the stable next week
  11. i know what its like not driving it for 6mths...when u get the chance upload some pics of your engine bay
  12. nick - those tough stickers add another 50kw & that is why you are breaking traction HA! look at that farker squat though, like a hooker on canterbury road
  13. What pipe are u running out of interest? All i did to mine was remove the twin turbo badge then grind off the boss which held the badge, about 10mm off the height was saved then craved coatings gave it another fresh coat and it was just enough to clear the bonnet. Have u still cut the bonnet bracing or does your new pipe allow for this?
  14. hey chris - im also running a ross balancer with a/c
  15. mmm...i wouldn't mind running these on my setup steve, what are u planning to use on your build, i.e. port the stock manifolds or run aftermarket manfiolds?
  16. nice rims stevo - i had these on my previous aust delivered gtr & they look very clean yet tough u sure u wana sell them
  17. u must have had a big night lol sounds very nice...congrats! what hard pipe kit is that, hks? can you also verify if that top pipe sits any higher than the stock top pipe with 'twin turbo' badge?
  18. whack a top loader in it - straight from an old gt this is what my mate thinks i should do to my car haha, unfortunately he is still brain washed by capacity v's technology
  19. Oops too much canadian club mixes, i was quoting mm hehe
  20. paul, you need 1 of those rips racing exhausts like what rob has on his dragster equipped with an rb26/30 and big single, 4inch pipe which measures about 500cm in total length
  21. heller44 - im not sure myself but i can tell u that the above quoted cams i had were tomei type a pon cams
  22. Well rob @ rips revs his engines past 11500rpm and this is with the factory rb30 crank and making over 1400hp. Need i say anymore?
  23. couldnt agree with you anymore HA!
  24. what a great invention, although scientifically probably not possible on a serious note, how about an endoscope which has an opening claw on it or some type of sticky substance which can pick up the particles? im thinking about when i drop a nut or bolt in my engine bay & the lengths i go to trying to retrieve it (with a lot of patience)
  25. haha fatz - ur farken smashed 1/2 the time on this forum i'd do the same as what fatz recommends, if its damaged its already done so just drive it
