  1. i am an r32gtr owner & can comment on my fan, sorry i should have added this to my original post - it always sounds noisy even on cold start up, like a spitfire plane! ive never heard my engine without the sound of that gay fan BUT it is the best for cooling!
  2. im gona try that myself - everytime i give it a hit smells like a banana!
  3. that pic of your car in jims dyno room reminds me of that tv show E.R.
  4. the car is repairable so seriously consider yourself lucky - the man above was watching over you
  5. my tuner (crd) recommends leaving the clutch fan as he said that thermo fans will not cool as effective as the clutch fan - food for thought...
  6. do u get any petrol fumes in the cabin with the earls fittings & braided lines?
  7. hi guys, i had my a/c regas yesterday & the workshop told me that he filled it @ 700-750kpa as per his recommendation...does this sound right as the specs cannot be found in my 1000page workshop manual (unless i am blind hehe) thanks,
  8. this is great info - i had similar problems where my air mix actuator for the foot area would get stuck & wouldnt allow me to go from cold>hot & vice versa. when i ran my diagnostics the error in 'step 3' as per workshop manual appeared as number '34' which stated it was the air mix door that controls the foot area...i will try the piece of paper or zip tie trick to see if that works as the servo runs when it feels like it.
  9. oops double post
  10. i'll be there - i need to try out my new sony handycam, that is if i can keep up with pauls car though
  11. agreed - consistent times are much harder than 1 off times BUT i still want an r35 1 day...it is coming 3 sec difference so there isnt much in it
  12. i also had my top covers done by chris @ craved in candy apple red - very nice
  13. well he quoted me $50 per dent but that might be 'mates rates'...he actually took out a total of 4 dents though & charged me $100 he couldnt help himself
  14. invest in other mods such as alcohol
  15. neils business partners name is andrew lol
  16. i think i can answer on pauls behalf as ive had this coversation with him in the past...stock manifolds are much more reliable & just as good if not better than aftermarket items. mark with his hi octane gtr was using tomei manifolds then went back to stock ones which were matched & honed for better response, as per his interview on ignition dvd
  17. hahaha - go kaiden u funny farker sorry but i dont know this guy, maybe he can be excused for driving a BRRRRDSHHH (wrx)
  18. hi guys, just did a road test in a back street & recorded the results on my blitz ebc (rob @ rips got me thinking on this): 3rd gear: 1bar boost @ 3800rpm 4th gear: 1bar boost @ 3500rpm 5th gear: didn't have the room but would 'guesstimate' 1bar boost @ 3200rpm mr rob ward, your t04z setup which makes 1bar boost @ 3000rpm, what gear is this done in? i should also note that my setup has been tuned for top end power, im sure if i asked jim @ crd to tune for mid range my revs would come down even lower @ 1bar boost... regards, marko
  19. Paul, given how sucessful and consistent your car was with Jim and the boys at CRD it makes good sense to give them an opportunity with the current bigger set-up. The last couple of years has been frustrating to watch with only the 9.4 pass at Jamboree last year seeing it showing some of its true potential. Im sure that Croydon will get the car prepped in tip top shape for the final event and im sure your efforts with the car will finally reap rewards. see you guys at the track...good luck twoogle
  20. yes it is paintless dent repair
  21. hi guys, this morning i took my gtr down to dent perfection for a quote on repairing my bonnet dents (referred to by a very good friend of mine @ noble toyota) - caused from my hose clamps which hit the underside of the bonnet thus leaving high spots (i have an rb26/30 which means the engine is 1 inch taller) anyway, neil repaired this for me & it was all done within an hour, i had 3 major dents & now you simply cannot tell where the repair has been made - paint is black as well which shows all defects! please treat my thread as a reference - farken fantastic job :) regards marko p.s. i only wish i took a before & after pic to show the quality their website: www.dentperfection.com.au
  22. paul - have stacey drive your car to increase your chances of running an 8
  23. You are right, sump has dropped by 8mm which is the spacer plate thickness. I wanted to further drop my engine as well but rob @ rips advised not to do this, maybe that extra 15mm is enough to make it close to impossible? Not sure myself
  24. i also think u have cracked the answer. i would not be messing around with the driveline geometry, if it was a gemini or dato 1600 then why not...a well engineered gtr though?
  25. i remember talking to rob @ rips about my exhaust which is a hks super dragger (starts @ 3.25" then goes to 3.75" at the rear). his feedback "run it with the full exhaust then drop it at the front pipes, you will then know if your exhaust is choking any power"
