  1. i would luv the opportunity to see the godzilla in action (gio or winfield) steve, i missed out the last time as well when u called me out @ oran park
  2. no, its adjusts hot/cold temp
  3. haha thats him!
  4. @ 28psi he must be running e85 or race fuel?
  5. very nice, does it hold the same temp as the clutch fan?
  6. i havent looked at it as yet been busy with house reno's, it is for sure blocked duncan and thanks for the tip...i use a funnel which is a snug fit on my radiator & does work very well BUT i like things to work the way they are designed to i.e. bleed valve do you know ben taylor by any chance? if u prefer pm me
  7. shouldn't the clutch fan only engage when the temp is up?
  8. has a new thermostat. i do remember on my old gtr that coolant would bleed thru the air drain plug. 1 of my mates suggested it is blocked so poke it with a piece of wire & should be ok
  9. i was thinking to take it out for the sake of the noise & appearance but after more research i will definitely keep it on there there doesnt seem to be a way of testing the fan in the gtr workshop manual, wouldnt mind knowing if the fan is operating correctly - engine temp is spot on though so i guess its ok!
  10. hi guys, i have followed procedure to replace my coolant in my gtr & have removed the 'air drain plug' which sits on the front of the engine, just under the injector boom. when i release this bolt though there is no visible sign of coolant bleeding through this hole, i even removed the bolt & still no sign of air or coolant bleeding through...could it be blocked in some way? i let the engine get to full temp on idle & followed my workshop manual. regards
  11. what is the best way to test if the fan is engaging correctly? i'll have a flick thru my workshop manual & see what i can find
  12. yeah ive noticed that my temps have dropped since i upgraded my factory radiator with shroud to the 52mm core alloy radiator without shroud - good enough for me
  13. i just tried fitting the shroud - wont fit with the thicker 52mm core radiator as it fouls on the clutch fan
  14. just made this mod to my car & it has made a difference to the cooling of the a/c, i dont know how many degrees it has dropped BUT i can most certainly feel the drop in temp thanks cubes
  15. great diy - i will resolder my servo connections tomorrow as i cant get the servo to work all the time when jiggling the connector
  16. i use autoglym shampoo, polish & deep finish wax (3 products) & they are great!
  17. yeah i have similar thoughts, maybe a stick with the clutch fan & modify the shroud. it is a street car running 700hp so the temps do get up there at times.
  18. i should also add, if i keep the clutch fan i'd like to fit the factory shroud on my 52mm core radiator although clearance will be an issue & i'll need to hack into the shroud to suit - has anyone else out there made this work?
  19. hi guys, ive been thinking about taking off the factory clutch fan on my gtr BUT i think i do remember my tuner telling me that the engine will run too without the clutch fan & even if i ran 2 thermo fans it still wont work as well as the factory clutch fan...is anyone running their gtr without the clutch fan? regards,
  20. likewise - when i had my regas done the mechanic also advised running the thermo fan would knock off approx 5degrees from my current internal vent temp which is @ 11degrees this is a fantastic mod, i'll do this today
  21. only the arabs would find the appeal to modify a camel
  22. fair enough - today was 26degrees & we tested the temp outdoors in the direct sun
  23. hi guys, i had my a/c regas & have tested the temp with the windows up & a temperature gauge inserted in the centre vent, it read 11 degrees is this about right as i remember my other car showed 4 degrees (old holden camira) but that was ridiculous where the vents would actually start frosting up lol thanks,
  24. ok - ill give it a go
  25. u think so? hmmm, maybe i should try it
