  1. what i will say is that the boost of my new setup comes on much stronger (due to making more power) & 'feels' that it comes on much sooner than my previous rb26 with hks gtss (when the wife drove the car this is 1st thing she commented on, the response)...if i compare it to my 1st setup which was an rb26 with gtrs, well, i'll never do that again lol
  2. point taken - i have the perfect solution for you gary...get a v8 (then again, dont bother)
  3. all this dyno mumbo means sfa, i honestly think if u went for a drive in my car u would change ur mind
  4. how did you derive 29kph per 1000rpm?
  5. here is the graph - i had the email saved my deleted items, oops rev limit is set @ 9000rpm
  6. this well considering i pulled an 11.1 @ 129mph with my rb26/gtss setup which had 312awkw...this setup will smash a 10!
  7. i'll post another graph tonight from my other pc which includes the km/h axis (it is from 0-200km/h) i had an rb26 with gtss's & i can tell you that the difference in torque is massive between the rb26/gtss v's rb30/-10s chalk & cheese
  8. another blonde moment for marko geez i'll find out once i have a chat with my accountant
  9. i spent over 20k building my engine BUT i sold off all of my other bits from the rb26, end of the day the whole thing cost me approx 13k (includes tuning cost @ $1500) best 13k ive spent to date
  10. stevo, if i switched them there is labour + another tune = $ your above graph is based on a 2 wheel dyno whereas mine is a 4 wheel dyno which may also change the results (i.e. jim @ crd advised my power level on 2 wheels on his dyno is 445rwkw)
  11. the bigger the better with rb30's as i was informed!
  12. they are 280degrees with 10.5mm lift how they were dialled in is crd's secret, in other words i have nfi
  13. ^ there has got to be an uptodate version of the above graph...does anyone have this on hand? for example, the t04z is not on the list
  14. chasing hp is a never ending story...i did the hill climb on the old rd coming back after the brooklyn bridge and my mate was following me, i applied the throttle in 3rd gear overtaking a fireblade exiting a corner and he told me i left 4 black lines, felt like a tiger hanging on with its paws your calculations are not right, would be if it was a rgv250
  15. my final tune results...405awkw (i.e. 445rwkw) @ 23psi with 930nm. E85 might be on the horizon to crack over 450awkw & 1000nm
  16. interesting topic garrett v's hks...if u look at rips racing in nz they use garrett hair driers on their dirty thirty's im happy with my garrett -10's
  17. exhaust manifold gaskets & bov gaskets sold. head gasket still available guys
  18. i went for a drive last night, its actually much harder to push the car on the road as the power band is much wider than my other setup (i.e. starts spooling @ 3000rpm, rb26 started @ 5500rpm) so i find that im changing gears much sooner than my rev limit (i.e. 7000rpm). i need to get used to it. i gave it a good squirt in 2nd gear & it broke out into a wild wheel spin for the 1st time ive rated my car as dangerous as my previous bike (suzuki gsxr1000 worked with 173.5rwhp)...now im waiting for a litre bike to pick on me
  19. yes well ive noticed it drinks a substantial amount of fuel, its not built for economy so i dont care i'd be most interested to see your results - please keep me informed. what hp is the t618z rated at?
