  1. not sure if rb20 is compatible, best off asking the seller, how much is it?
  2. mine arrived in a cardboard box, individually packaged. where did u get them from? im sure they will be fine
  3. there u go jerry, thanks for clarifying this as i had no idea... yet again im pissing in the wind
  4. the r35 which sold for 96k in uk...what would the additional cost total to bring it to aust? silver 35 with black rims MMMM
  5. im not sure where matt is up to but ive got my setup running. my 'forklift' rb30 (tongue in cheek dirtgarage lol) with garrett -10's made 270.9awkw @ 6500rpm on 10psi, rich run-in tune. final tune is booked for next week very happy with results thus far i posted a thread here with dyno graph if u want more info: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...la-t277399.html
  6. i heard that wrapping the stock manifolds can crack the pipes (or was that only relative to aftermarket pipes?)
  7. long time no hear mate fyi - there was a 2nd hand (near new with 7000km) silver gtr on gtr.co.uk for only 47000pds! only sold 3 days ago: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/110217-08-plate-nissan-gtr.html what a bargain!!! straight off the currency converter calculator: 47,000.00 GBP = 96,137.95 AUD 1 GBP = 2.04549 AUD 1 AUD = 0.488881 GBP
  8. fuel rail is from pfi in vic, hose kit is from my good contact at asi performance...bit of a funny story behind the hose kit, manufacturers are steering away from silicone i/c hoses for the gtr due to cost and low demand so these were a 1 off for me, when they arrived they reeked of rotten egg/sulphate
  9. thats my decision beer baron - its greg build hence what he says goes
  10. it feels like a standard gtr clutch just a bit springier (for lack of a better word) - you would never know its modified. after looking at it, i think its the way he utilisies the thrust bearing on the clutch fingers as it sits closer to the tip of the fingers on diaphram then what it did on my previous twin plate. its get more leverage like this & it feels nice with the 4000lbs pressure plate - maybe u should speak to jim berry direct about this, he'll chew both of your ears off
  11. dennis, its drives like a normal clutch, i gave it the wife test and she couldnt believe it as well, after having a triple then twin plate i will never go back. ive been questioning JB clutches and had the opportunity to get 1 two times in the past but i chickened out my mentality was "as if an aust single plate can hold like a jap multi plate"...i should have listened to paul from the onset
  12. i remember coming across this article a while back when i had my bike - there are a few guys on gixxer.com which swear by this method - it is a good read
  13. you know what i mean - hopefully the others got the jist
  14. is that newcastle? i can make it after lunch (going baby shopping 1st), send address details regards, good fella
  15. a. the 1st 300km i ran run-in oil b. im now running a new filter with mineral oil c. next change @ 1500km to full synthetic im doing the bathurst run tomorrow with a mate who owns a worked Ford XBGT, nice car rumbles like thunder (harley equivalent on 4 wheels) rob & paul...am i really that bad with my emails u've given me a complex, i feel like a STOONK C*NT
  16. im running stock valves, 14hrs of porting was done blending bowls, open exhaust ports, spot face for larger lobes, match port manifolds and full service head if i missed anything im sure greg will correct me
  17. my last post was clear as mud, the point i wanted to make is that its like shifting a truck with the low rev limit. i havent been that gentle with it my question is do i raise the boost/rev limit or wait till 1500km?
  18. point definitely taken rob and yes paul this is also what u recommended, ok so do i leave the boost level on 10psi and rev limit on 5krpm for the 1500km period? or leave as is and shift gears as frequent as a semi trailer taking it to 5krpm?
  19. hey nick - jim wants me to take it to 1500km, he will then raise the rev limit from 5000rpm to probably 8000rpm? he will also raise boost to 13psi & lean out the fuel, as advised. he then wants me to take it to 5000km then perform the final tune with full boost & dialled cams...jim is being overly cautious which isnt a bad way to operate. ...im not waiting that long, as advised by greg @ proengines, do the 1500km then let it rip - the block was 'tunnel honed' which helps rings bed in.
  20. i just noticed your pic paul - u funny farker, i must admit u got me laughing (at least u found a nissan forklift though, looks tough)
  21. i went with argo's as well - they're rated @ 1700hp combined (slightly over engineered for my application) ive got about 1million pics of all the bits i used for my build (yeah im pretty farked up)
  22. lol steve - too much testosterone on sau lately...its all good though greg will supply the report of the head porting (before v's after) over the weekend, once i have this i can post it in this thread as im sure greg will be ok with this. im now up to 400km - big drive this weekend after 1500km i'll turn up the wick, just need to convince jim @ crd. steve - i remember you telling me about the story of r32gtr which was originally designed to cater for an rb30...then due to racing regulations they went to an rb26? i hope i haven't opened up a can of worms
  23. this is like the jerry springer show - hold on...i'll see if dr phil is available to add his comments LOL good entertainment nonetheless
  24. as long as ur happy mike, we've all heard good n bad in most tuners (albeit not crd) lol just 4 laughs im interested to know wat rev limit are on to make 350rwkw? wats peters thoughts on e85, have u considered this?
  25. i had to cut the bonnet bracing for the rocker covers & intake hard pipe (i dont think i can run the cam gear cover, i might try it though) yeah the twin turbo badge was the only point fouling on the actual bonnet skin, now all fixed!
