  1. almost certain thats a no. and a series 2 sedan grille wont fit a series 1 sedan and vice versa
  2. +2 a complete genuine front end might be different tho...
  3. Thought i'd start a list of workshops that are most helpful for v35's in Adelaide, with some info. Place : Westbourne Park Auto / Adam OBD2 scan tool : YES Clean workshop : YES ..the driveway might be a challenge for low cars tho
  4. i only just calculated the economy after noticing the factory economy meter hadnt dropped.... using the switch is now just to make takeoff alot smoother... as the pedal is way too sensitive on the other settings.
  5. each car is different obviously, in my case it still uses first, throttle response appears to be around 10% of normal, revs stay below 2500rpm, and no kickback.
  6. the only guy i know with an OBD tool charges an arm and a leg and has no idea how to use it....
  7. i think nissan would agree. notice how the GTR has triangular headlights rather than round.... and then the v36 and v37 went the same way. and yet, porsche sedan headlights are round and suit that car perfectly... at the end of the day, the best bodykits for any car are the ones with the least amount of angles and vents. too much detail in one particular area draws your eyes away from the rest of the car and simply ruins it. veilside are one of the worst for this. that chargespeed rear follows that rule - different but simple, no vents or flutes or steps. it doesnt overpower the cars original lines. there is no front bumper yet that has the same effect.
  8. yeah ive only got a jap version too some v35s come with the factory snow/power switch that does the same throttle reduction/increase in sensitivity. i keep mine on snow 99% of the time but it has shown no improvement in economy... still 12.6L/100km
  9. does anyone have a VQ25DD ecu pinout?
  10. the only one i know of is this one... but i assume this only applies to the VQ35 and not the VQ25
  11. i bought the same radiator from a US ebay seller called RWIAMERICA, including postage it was still $100 cheaper than anything i could find in australia
  12. is this wire cut mod only limited to turbo stag's? what about v35s?
  13. there is no bodykit available that can make a v35 look any better than factory. it comes down to the shape of the headlight - its the ugliest part of a v35 in my opinion.
  14. no issues with rim diameter here as im wearing 20's.... offset/rear of spoke could be the clearance issue tho. spending more than 500 on a set of brakes for a road car is pointless in my opinion... I think id be happy with a set of R32 gtr discs and calipers. itd only cost me $400 all up.
  15. over the decades ive played with many exhausts on many cars.... the one thing ive always found to improve things is the length of pipe after the rear muffler. having 6 inches of tail after the muffler makes it much quieter than having just 3 inches.... the other thing is having the tip too far back under the bumper, does a similar thing. its not so easy to lengthen the output pipe these days with one piece stainless mufflers and tips... and yes, stay away from wrap. agreed. sound deadening such as dynamat can work but its much more expensive and heavier than just adding another glasspack muffler. i would personally try packing cavities behind trim panels (bootlid, boot sides, parcel shelf) with quilt wadding as a cheap trial.
  16. afm plug connected? reset throttle body?
  17. will the test pipes be ready at the same time?? lol brembos would be nice but im trying to find a more affordable alternative
  18. oh and secondly... do v35 wheel studs have the same measurements as s15 silvia? (as in shaft diameter, length, and spline count)
  19. is it true that R32 GTR calipers fit the v35? if yes, what else does it involve?
  20. go to a plastics supplier and buy an offcut of 15mm polycarbonate sheet that will fit in the gap as a spacer..
  21. here are my experiences: the tape player adapters give poor sound quality the ebay cigarette lighter fm transmitters give lots of electrical feedback/whistling ive heard an aerpro brand fm transmitter from supercheap ...sounded perfect http://m.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Aerpro-FM-Transmitter-To-suit-Ipod-MP3-3-5mm-Lead-Jack/224803
  22. silver 35 gtr at darlington golden arches ezekiel.... random places more than occasionally black 32 with primered skirts cruising the esplanade
  23. i barely get 450km from a full tank... usually about $100 of premium. thats all city suburbs, no highway and no peak hour. and the fuel meter says i average 12L/100km i definitely dont trust the fuel range display. when full, it says i have a range of 650km.... but have never made it last even 500. i had the light come on at E on the guage, the meter said i had 77km to go..... 2 km later and it said i had 23km to go.... then it said 0km...
  24. when a catalytic converter ends its life, the smell is like rotten eggs. without a cat altogether, its more like a raw fuel smell.... but different. if you go for a quick burn for a couple km with plenty of high revs then switch the engine off as soon as you get home, you can smell something close to that smell. a smart cop/inspector will recognise the smell straight away... nothing beats the smell of following a car on avgas ah the memories
  25. yes, wet rub with 1200 grit works. if you dont retreat the plastic with a new UV coating, it will go cloudy again... but that is easily fixed with plastic polish once a month..
