  1. as much as i am a sedan fan, i kinda agree. v35s are getting outdated and pushing to be worth 15/16k at the most. over 17k and almost everyone would rather a base model early coupe. I refused to pay over 10k for mine 18 months ago, which was 4k under what he was asking, but he had it advertised for at least 6 months... you are however absolutely entitled to ask however much you want for it and say no to low offers.
  2. good stuff! ive seen the kinetix on nightcrawlers car.. nice looking unit. But recently chat to a guy who races offroaders with VQ35's.... he said the Maxima plenum gets him better HP figures....
  3. kinetix - where from and how much?
  4. improved fuel economy now too from 12.2L/100km to 11.7L/100km on the screen... will calculate it properly to be sure
  5. being a 250gt, id say its minimal, if anything at all.... with just straight pipes it broke into wheelspin much easier, but i doubt it was from a huge power increase. the one thing i have noticed with both setups is a definite point in the rev range where the exhaust note seems to clash with something... its not a horrible noise, just sounds like 2 different notes at once... still havent installed the plenum spacer either... but ive heard a rumour about a different plenum that has bigger gains which i'll do some research on.
  6. technically nothings legal. roll the dice
  7. thanks people! yep taillights are US - red indicator lenses
  8. post a photo if you can, there are a few possible reasons why its not the same....
  9. oh hahaha yep thatd annoy me too if it was visible..! OK so now an update for this setup it was too loud (for me) from 1500-2000rpm so ive added a pair of glasspack resonators. They are a centre muffler from an EF falcon, $45 each brand new, 2.25" bore, i had the ends put on a swage and expanded so they slip over a 2.5" pipe. the result is... no more drone! Its louder than the standard muffler but quieter than the first design. i'd describe the sound as somewhere between VN commodore and BMW E46 M3.... an odd comparison, i know. unfortunately it has lost most of that VQ burble that you heard in the first video... changing the resonators for hotdogs might fix that..... or of course changing the main centre muffler... the clearance issue with the vapour canister.... just need to install a shield rather than relocate it. the pipe running down the right side used to connect to the breather which i have deleted for now but will relocate elsewhere. There is at least 200mm of air gap above the resonators, nowhere near the fuel lines that feed the canister and the video of it completed http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v716/sc850/V35/twin%20exhaust/f2bafa8e.mp4
  10. total including welding wire was $300 id rather just draw up a plan of it than fabricate another hahaha http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v716/sc850/random%20forum/98287b68.mp4
  11. For anybody wanting to try a twin rear setup, here is one i knocked up yesterday. So, in this example, im keeping the centre muffler, adding a new flange about 200mm behind that muffler, and bolting this onto it. First thing was to replicate the original bumper cutout to the drivers side. Its all 2.5" parts... flange, single to dual collector, all 2.5" mandrel bent tube, a dual 3" tip on each side. under the car, it clears the breather canister but require removal of the other part that vents into the chassis and rerouting of the pipe that fed it. Noise level with this setup is a bit too much in my opinion, but my partner says its ok. i find it drones too much between 1500-2000rpm. A bit like a didgeridoo. but anyway, i just made it as a trial... will try adding a 12" long glasspack resonator before each tip later. will need to relocate that canister first tho.
  12. i was just referring to the whole laptop-in-car thing. yes hibernation is faster if thats what you like to do. as far as hacking into looms and PCB's, easy for me, but i wouldnt suggest others attempt going that far if theyre not prepared to break something in the process
  13. itpesaf - its not as hard as you think. just some confusing abbreviations.. laptops are too slow to load in my opinion, unless you can boot from flash.. would be easy to add a touch screen overlay but that will get in the way of the pop-up mechanism. a wired/wireless track ball in the centre console can work for the mouse pointer...
  14. the number of years i paid over $1000 a year (up to $3000 a year) for insurance that the insurance company would never pay a claim on.... is the reason why i now put that $1000 into my own account instead of theirs. They're tightarse handballing scumbags just like car salesman and real estate agents.
  15. spotted a white 35 coupe heading west on anzac highway 7.30pm.... only one headlight working and a stock silver sedan heading the other way an hour earlier
  16. thanks brad any chance i can buy a navi disc off you?
  17. ive been searching this site for an hour and cant find the answer to my question how do i get the secret diagnostic page to come up on the navi screen? i thought it was as simple as holding a button down as you turned the ignition on.... and can the answer to this please be put in the "read this first" sticky thanks
  18. yeah i think youd get the same effect from just removing the earth strap from the engine, the earth lead from the battery, cleaning all the surfaces, and putting it all back together i personally find the V35 auto shift changes to be better than the auto in our 2008 porsche boxster...
  19. RPRZNT on jetty rd doing as the number plate suggests and a black on black v35 coupe
  20. no point getting the speedo fixed as 1: i wont sell the car with big wheels, and 2: its keeping my odometer reading down and yes i agree a gps with distance tracking will be the most accurate (not including hills)
  21. i have 2 different answers to this topic 250gt with basic mods and 285/25/20 rear tyres 13.5L per 100km (calculated from odometer vs refill amount). the tv says i do 11.9L per 100km. Dont know which reading is correct.
  22. any luck with getting the test pipes off yet? its been 7.5 months....
  23. vmax spaceframe? that engine combo sounds heavy for that chassis.... most use mid mount chain drive R1's or hayabusa
  24. yep just noticed... working on it
